Jones is still money within 20 yards, and you have Daboll stubbornly running the ball into walls for almost 50% of their plays. I get it, you want the long ball but you only need 10 yards for a first down. A 1 yard run puts you in a 2nd and nine. Then a penalty and your 2nd and 14. Then Daboll draws up a long pass and you miss it. Suddenly your 3rd and long. Still not impressed by Daboll. Too many 3rd and longs. Pass the ball to establish the run. This isn't 1994.

Serious question, is the percentage DJ is back next year at 0% or is there someway hes back, and what would be the circumstance?

Thank you! Yes, DJ was very comfortable back there yesterday, made good pre-snap reads, made smart decisions and got the ball out quickly. The Giants did not loose because of Jones. The knee jerk reaction by fans to instantly blame Jones is embarrassing

Wasn’t referenced specifically…as mentioned was the O-Line being great and Elumenor stood out but major kudos to Andrew Thomas…He’s looked really good this year and pretty much owned Micah Parsons for most of the game (besides a play or two)

not a lot went wrong last night. Sadly, got outplayed. DJ looked good. Some of those throws weren’t where they needed to be. I can’t be mad, actually they may end up with a couple more wins than I expected .

Year 6, I’m over this guy missing WRs running open for TDs 😢. And Dan I agree with you, needing to play mistake free football in the modern nfl to win is just a terrible way to operate an offense. Drops happen, penalties happen. We need to take our shots when we have them and Daboll is scheming these perfectly.

Yes the short pass play can substitute for run game. But when u waste 24 snaps running ball only getting 1-2yds u can't win game. 24 carries for 26yds. It's like an extra 24 incomplete passes.

DJ has the yips on deep throws. Doesn’t trust it. BTW it’s 108 in Tucson today……..seeing Dan in a Wisconsin jacket makes me think of cold. I won’t be cold until January.

Positive note, if we insert a stud QB in the draft with Daboll/Shoen combo still on command I think this team could take a big jump mostly due to how wel this offense is set up to succeed with the oline play and tons of playmakers

How the hell does Bellinger only have 19 snaps on offense the whole game? He is their best blocker and TE receiver! How does Manhertz and Johnson get more than double the playing time? Is Daboll retardant? Someone make it make sense!

Jones was fine. He wasn't good, he wasn't bad, he was just fine. The problem with fine is he is not elevating the game of everyone around him. Until we get QB that can do that again, we are never going to get anywhere as a franchise.

Any of these young QBs most likely will fail cause theyvare taught the read optionsystem , where if your first read WR is Not open take off & run !! And I bet Jaden Daniels will be hurt if he keeps running so much !!!! AndcDaniel Jones will be with the 49ers & K Shannahan & Danny Dimes will fit into that system., a lot netter then Purdy !!!

Dan and Nick great pod as always. DJ was great tonight. Running game let us down. Criticism of lack of arm strength on the deep balls is fair. I still like him throwing it just to keep the CB’s respecting it. I’m wondering as he trusts this line and receivers more, hopefully he can get the ball out quicker on the deep throws to compensate for some of his lack of strength???? Ball traveling less distance and maybe being more accurate???? IDK??? I liked what I saw over all though.

some crazy takes in here - daboll was awful, wandale was and continues to just be terrible. he's too goddamn small and not smart/aware enough to be in his role. it was a bad pick by schoen at the time and it still is

its subtle things, jones ball placement is bad, that nabers wide open pass, he way underthrew it, left so many yards on the field, etc. we gotta move on man, we're just stuck in the mud year after year, jones does NOT inspire winning. he plays, eh, ok sometimes, but hes not a winner how long do we have to go without finally letting go.

It just comes down to this. The Cowboys have a curse on the Giants! They can never beat this team, for some reason there's always something in the way of the Giants beating the Cowboys. It's been this way forever. I'm not blaming this on Daniel Jones either, there was a lot of drop passes and bonehead penalties! I am so sick of the F#*king Cowboys!

Defenses going against us whole thing is to stop the run, because they know that Jones is not QB that can beat them. No defense out there is scared that Jones is able to beat them. That’s why life for us as fan is so miserable because defenses can make us one demissionable and we don’t have a QB to exploit defenses selling out to stop the run.

It's frustrating when Jones shows enough to start believing then under throws when it really counts. On the other hand, I never felt so good over a loss. I couldn't believe how good the On-line looked. They look like they are going in the right direction at least. They aren't going to be a playoff team this year, but they are progressively getting better. We need a better QB and more depth at D-backs. Maybe another star receiver if Hyatt isn't going to be used.

Leadership guys. The Giants simply don't know how to win, they know all to well how to lose games though. It's always a different position, a different person, a different situation. Whatever it takes to lose a game we find a way to do it. I scoffed at Bellichicks name, now I'm not so sure he wouldn't be the answer for us. We simply needs someone who will not stand for people doing things that lead to losses, I truly believe he could possibly turn this losing mentality around. I'm all for Bill now !

Yea who needs an elite rb when u can have a running back by committee, glad Saquan is washed up and old. Look at him not flourishing in Philly and last out of all starting running backs. 👀😂😂😂 (Keep letting ya bias feeling cloud logic and see how far it gets you) and that’s to all the bias giants fans that make a million excuses for anything the Giants organization does.

It’s time to start to say that Joe scheon is horrible at drafting. IMO he missed on 3 first round picks. Thibs, Neal and banks are all supposed to be helping this team, and all three suck. DJ can’t complete a fucking pass down field for his life. All passes that went deep where all ducks and the receivers had to stop their routes to come back to the ball.

Neck injury coincides with poor deep throws, and even worse accuracy and ball placement. I’m not saying Jones was gonna be the guy long term in 2023, but not having an actual back up plan at LT, may ultimately cost Danes, Schoen, and Jones

I don’t think there is enough thought being placed on how Jones’ lack of timing/arm talent is going to hurt our investments in our weapons. Not even talking about maximizing production, I’m talking about how the poor timing is getting our backs and receivers clobbered in vulnerable positions or before they can look upfield. Watching last nights game makes me worry about Nabers safety and longevity.

It's amusing to watch Schneier basically contradict or argue against himself and talk about harping on the same damn thing week in and week out. I FF sometimes when he's talking because I want to cover my ears.
