I’ve sat in this car, the David Brabham 1994 one, at a car show in London back in 1995. I was quite surprised by how basic the cockpit was compared to the other F1 cars’ I’d seen, I was still happy though ❤ to be sitting in the cockpit of an F1 car, even if it was a crap one 😂, nice paint job though!

The orange color has been a lifelong favorite of mine, so naturally I was drawn to the Arrows cars of '99-'02. I remember being in London U.K. in 2002 and the A23 was on display at a subway station just next to the escalators (can't remember which station exactly but I seem to recall it was King's Cross). I stood and marveled at the beauty of its livery. All things orange just mesmerizes me.

Fantastic video, was the move to Asiatec in 2001 purely financial? I suppose it could be the first signs of Arrows running out of cash. You inspired me to go look up some old Autosport forums :)

tbh it was the future for all #F1 designs for a genaration ,try and fid a vid or pic of her painted all black,you'll understand straight away ,it was the first #CokeBottle era shaped with the lowest gearbox design even upto date

I am a Mclaren fan, but Arrows were my favourite minnows and i loved how their cars looked, and it is a shame that the team folded in 02. By Mclaren using the papaya/black livery in recent years, it looks similar to Arrows and the 24 WCC winning car was the closest in terms of livery to what Arrows used to look like in their last few seasons.

P7 in the championship, P1 in the looks department.

Excellent video! Got to respect Yamaha's stint in F1; they may have made progress fairly slowly, but they were certainly within reach of greatness by '97. Such a shame about Tom Walkinshaw's decision to axe them and their lack of funding. I'm sure Yamaha could've been a top engine by the millenium had they stayed with Arrows or Tyrrell a few more years, and who knows, maybe they could have kept either respective teams alive for longer had they stayed.

Bit of trivia,someone said if you where able look down on the 640 I suppose from a helicopter it had the silloette dimensions of a wine flue ,the front wings being the base.you of course have to take the wheels out of the picture.

A bit more luck and this might have worked out differently. But then luck is probably not the biggest factor in reliability. Plus Günter Schmid has repeatedly been painted as someone whose leadership style set the team up for failure. Too bad.
