Thanks for this video, some great footage and a nice tribute to Brian Hart and his company. They always punched way above their weight and their contribution to the sport should not be forgotten.
This whole era of F1 was truly fascinating. Not just Senna and Prost, but there were some insanely brave drivers like Lauda, K.Rosberg, G.Villeneuve, Stefan Bellof... they were really hardcore old school racing drivers and also looked the part. I wish I had lived that time.
Did you know John Evans? He used to drive a black mk1 Astra with yellow checkers over the back. He used to do either left or right cylinder heads can’t remember which side for Brian in Harlow.
Some excellent footage, thank you! I was at Donington in 1993, and it was such a shame when Barrichello retired from a possible 3rd. But Senna was my hero, so I was still pretty happy I'd seen the most amazing race :)
@simondillon I was there too that year at donington and I also remember being gutted for Barrichello when he retired. What a drive that was. Always rooted for the smaller teams and it was so nearly a dream result for them. And to witness Senna there on that special day was something never to forget.
Should be a reminder to us all. Next time we here a pundit belittling a less successful team or supplier, we need to know their are people that are chasing their dream and actually doing it at a high level on a lower budget.
The Toleman cars were built a couple of factory units away from where my father worked. I was a bit too young to appreciate the significance of it, but I did get into F1 when I was a bit older.
@@ClassicFormulaOne1 I meant as fan sadly. I would love to have worked in F1 but the opportunity hasn't arisen yet. I don't live far from either the Williams or Alpine Factories, so there is always a chance...
Great video - Brian another engineering genius like Keith Duckworth. Was interesting to note he managed to get the 4 cyl 415T turbo to work, but Cosworth gave up on theirs due to it self destructing on Dyno runs as a result of engine vibrations and went on to produce a V6 turbo, (the GAA I think). Both fantastic engineers in a time when F1 was more pure and interesting and not so worried about being 'environment friendly' with no electric motors bolted to the engine.
Don't forget: the Arrows/Hart engine also supplied the Phoenix/D.A.R.T. AP04B ill fated team (formerly Prost Grand Prix) that was denied entry despite showing up for several races early in the 2002.
Such a great engineer and engine designer - he achieved so much with a fraction of the budget of the other teams... hats off to the great Brian Hart!

@@jammy_rex3038Thank you! My pleasure. Shame the era of small engine builders is gone.

When F1 was really dangerous, an age for real men 😎
I always rooted for Brian Hart
There is a fascinating video on RUclips going into detail on the 415. Highly recommended!
I used to machine billet cranks for Hart.
Great! Hope you liked this video!

Derek Warwick driving style amazes me every time! 👍
and Barrichello before Imola was someone else!

That's so cool! You have seen one of the most legendary races of F1 ever!

@@jammy_rex3038 Definitely 👍 The wettest, muddiest, coldest I've ever been, but certainly one of the best races ever, a great day 😊
Proper genius absolute unique.
Wish I would of met him, Legend
Sad we'll never again see this in F1.
Well done, that was brilliant.
Thanks!

Shame F1 is too complicated now for smaller manufacturers.
@@ClassicFormulaOne1 they let the panties down willingly for money..they sold even their mothers

Hi Simon you had a job in F1?

@@shaundadson8302 thanks, yea interesting times!
Senna from 6th to 1st🤣🤣
quality content !
haha thanks! 😅
Was that the voice of Simon Taylor on some of that commentary? He was my old boss at Haymarket!
Yes, on the Brands race where Derek Warwick overtook Arnoux.
I didn't realise Jonathon Ross commentated on F1. (9:20 in the video)
Yea he was the voice of the official 1993 FIA Formula 1 review video.
Nice ;-)
Good to see Jos Verstappen again !
Thanxxx
jos the boss
Mr Hart should have found the time to write a book.
@@gothicpagan.666 Haha yes I agree
Did i just hear sir James Hunt commentate??
Sure
los pilotos brasileños conseguian resultados con los motores Hart 😎😎😎
Senna and Brian Hart
had quite a good relationship, I have seen photos of them together as fas as in 1994.

@@MatthewLewisAtlanta thanks but I'm only focusing on F1 teams who truly drove Grand Prix weekends.
Interesting, I did not know that! Will have to do some research on it.
