I was about to pre order "New World" moments ago on Xbox but after watching all the You tube videos covering it's release and currant state. I think I'll hold off on that thought.

can anyone explain why they spent time reworking the MSQ & starter quests several times, and reworked 1st light when there is still uncovered areas north of map & most pvp'rs were screaming for new arena & opr maps since day 1... just seems a waste to me

at least with the umbrella system to upgrade gear I could find pieces easier than upgrade it... I actually dislike not being able to upgrade gear. I hope the Aeternum patch will let me just upgrade my gear instead of replacing.

I went over to new world at launch from eso, with my guild leadership circle and a few others. It was such a let down lol. Chinese bot heaven. That's how it goes at launch though. I played for a few months, we all were maxed etc but it was empty. Just looked to see if it was alive, and theres like a couple people playing concurrently, and the reviews are in the absolute shitter. Way to go, Amazon. Maybe companies should stick to what they're good at lol

There's no reason for PC players to play. The "event" doesn't even work and there's nothing coming until October and the fact that they're willing to shed their existing playerbase soley to pick up another just signals that they don't care about the longevity of the game. I can understand focusing on the console release but they abandoned the current game. I've seen 20 year old maintenance mode MMOs support a game more.

Then once again the marketing team fails. If it's legit, their money didin't bring any likes, comments, subscribers or anything. Which means the gaming community hates new world more than we thought.

I too wish thet had added something more for PC. But all these negative comments seem to not realise how much of a big undertaking it is to port a game to console. So of course they are marketing it for console and their focus is console. While I think they should have added more meat for all players, I understand their hard marketing. The guys saying they are spending money on marketing rather than the game. Do you think porting it over was free and an over night project?

The only reason why the line is flattening is because there's barely any player left other than those who would play the game even if it was about to close. Truth is, parent wise, it went down of the usual 15% like in the past months.

The amount of content for a console player is huge. If you came in fresh and forgot what you knew about the game. For us pc players, there isn't much of a reason to log in. Gear score update makes chasing gear moot. What happens to our artifacts, do they go to 725?

Havent been able to play since rise of the angry earth came out, got a low end pc and cant even run the game on my pc anymore. This is by far my favorite game to date and the only downside to it is the toxic community that plays it that HAS drove a lot of players away from the game. So what if theyre spending money on advertising GOOD means more people will see it and more players hopefully to come. Tired of lack of content? Then stop rushing everything learn to enjoy the game!

They've generated over 1,500,000 more views since the video's thumbnail image. No change in the New World channel's subscriber count, and the only new comments seem to be coming from people following the story about the crazy increase in views. Whether it's view-botting or advertising, it seems to be a total waste of money.

Here's the thing: whatever they're spending on marketing, viewbotting, it doesn't matter: it's money better spent, rather than improving the game for a tiny group who they can't monetize further (me included). They can only continue throwing money at the game if there's some return on their investment. That means new players. The current population is not sustainable. You conspiracy theorists who think they're using "dirty tricks" to get more visibility? You better pray tonight before you go to bed, that it works. Because unless they get a massive influx of new players (i.e. SALES), we're headed for maintenance mode in the short term, and shutdown sooner than later. Hear me now and believe me later, ladies! 😘

It’s just really sad, all they had to do was be like new world is coming to console but with that added we have added a whole new area/continent for you guys to play and explore with 3 added dungeons and 1 raid. And everyone would have been hyped! I’m sure the player numbers would still be dropping till then but the spike at release would have been insane. Idk maybe just to much wishful thinking.

This will be an unpopular opinion , but, I've been playing on PC since Beta. I'm not one of the guys who are having a fit over content or lack of PvP because you know why? I'm one of those guys who actually play the game to relax and take things slow - and I'm not the only one. People tend to forget that it is us casuals who still maintain the game, and there are many of us. We just want to play the game beyond the drama and finally complete the achievement we're not able to complete due to IRL things occupying our time, hence most of us haven't even been able to complete some achievements till this day. I'm just glad that at the end of the day, at least there might be new players and a chance to actually have just one or two servers. Oh and swimming. Hopefully, they release that under water content and have us fight the Kraken as a super raid boss. Also - Atlantis.

AGS review bots on Steam, so nothing these crooks do would surprise me. It is so obvious to see the bots, when the bot's Steam level is 0. AGS Devs are crooks and liars.

I used to own a cloud hosting company about ten years ago before the AWS GCP price competition pushed us out. I had one customer who ran those flash game websites and he was a master of adsense. He could literally adjust the flow of traffic to the games sites by adjusting the ad's so if he was having issues he could turn down or off ad's and things would go away or slow down depending on what he did. So this makes total sense that AGS is actually advertising the console launch.

At that rate (feel free to Google it yourself) $5500 of RUclips revenue for 1,094,679 views ... is 166.6667 sets of 10,000 views ... or 1,666,666 views ... since they only got 1094679 views and made $5500 ... they spend less than the full $5500 ... thus they COULD have paid someone to viewbot the video and actually MAKE money while doing it. So your assertion of "it would cost them way more" is TOTALLY wrong. Again, feel free to Google the going rate for hiring viewbots and you can do the math yourself.
