NW became somewhat famous cause of its pvp flow/mechanics. they should focus exclusively in end game pvp modes, try to make a 'competitive' scene. WoW RBGs as a blueprint: 10x10 premade ranked games. MMR, ladder, mounts/titles/skins/exclusive gear for players above a certain MMR threshold. We would need like 3 different maps for a start: capture the flag, holding points, a siege mode, there are endless ideas. If they stopped focusing in PVE stuff, new dungeons, etc, and focused their attention exclusively to PVP content, this game would have its niche, instead of just dying.
Basically done with NW. Love the movement and combat. But the endless delays and slow trickle of endgame content is brutal. Moved back to GW2 and I don't see myself coming back
That's what I've done too GW2 and SWTOR. I would like to come back to New World but it just feels like the Devs have given up on NW. Yes we have new dungeons every now and again but that's it. PvE there is basically nothing for the endgame, mainly because it's tough to find a company to join and difficult to join an invasion or war instance. Gear is a bit all over the place and faction quests could be much better too. It's a shame.
May I recommend city of heroes homecoming? Its free, this includes server transfers and everything else. Its older but has deep team mechanics, gw2 is decent but its kind of a trap in my experience off and on for years.
So they spent a year developing cross server opr and dungeon finder at the expense of new content and as a result there is no longer enough servers left to even require cross server functionality. Lol
tbh I dont think "new content" would save the game. They are just shitty on communicating with the players. They made changes in the game that drove the players away and never address it :D It is their fault - no new dungeon would save the shirking changes, for example. You may say its not a big deal, but I have 10 (TEN) friends who uninstalled the game because of that. The 1st few months after release they banned around 200k ppl for, more or less, no reason or wrong reasons... w/e not worth wasting more time on this :D have fun!

For real!! I ve reading in discord players asking for a new OPR map for over a year now and still nothing. The simplest improvent that they can do and make happy the community and devs still is giving us more lore and pve content that nobody was asking for. So annoying!! I am done with this game

There’s not a single realistic change the dev team can make to revive this game. Not a single thing. Player base is gone and if as a consistent player, you’re okay with a 10-15k CCP count then expect only a few more months of real support from the dev team because this game won’t be financially sustainable for that size of a team.
Listen- I'm just happy the game is almost in a release acceptable state. It has pretty much all the standard mmo features. But pretty much I create my own content at this point by being social and participating in company events. Naked runs of regular dungeons ( only use what you find in the dungeons starting with a 100gs starter weapon+ house rules for the event and competition)
People have always talked about games "dying" or "being dead", when they really aren't. But if I'm going to be completely honest. I think New World is the first game where I would actually say it's dying, for real. The average player numbers are getting lower and lower for each month and less people return when content is added. It feels like AGS don't know what to do with their game. The constant delays, the lack of information, the delay of the roadmap (a roadmap for 2024, in june of 2024? really?), the lack of listening to feedback and the heavy monetization of new content.
After 3 weeks of deliberation. I'm finally going to boot this game up tomorrow. Does it have partial controller support available or is it exclusively M&K?

AP servers are being ignored. Look at the numbers. No merge there, players in sutekh are floundering. Peaked at 84 the other night. We were expecting a merge but nope......need to pay to transfer from a dead server. Time to delete game, all they want is our money. Stood by it for so long but all the delays now no server merge. Love your videos by the way, enjoy your farming.
1:26 the average is lower; however, the peak players has a larger drop. IMO, this might mean people are just logging to do their 10 a days and trade post stuff. They are probably not staying on server very long nor during peak time. IMO, that makes the numbers drop even worst, especially when the 10+% are always farm bots. This is also at a time when the Steam sale has been going on for over a week. Really bad indicators... but as usual, the devs are determined to run the game into the ground.
If they just didn't back out of the first set of mergers the game would be fine. That 3 weeks of dead servers like Octans, Orion, CoS killed the game. When everyone used their free transfers and went to top 2 servers the people left behind had nothing to do. Just horrible decision making at every turn. Disabling weapons, skills, making entire builds unplayable for weeks at a time. The backout of the server mergers however, was something nobody can ignore. You can't ignore when there's only 600 people online and 90% of the content cannot even be run. All to please a few companies that were controlling territory on those low pop servers. Actually mind boggling to give in to the people who clearly have a bias and want to get their free gold.
Asgard and Canis are ENG server, aren’t they? If yes, they shouldn’t move them to Aaru, they should move aaru in one of them. Aaru is mostly a German server and all chat is dominated by German (I know, they don’t want to have server with only one language)
I can't keep on doing OPR 8 hours a day. They have ruined it for me at the moment. I'll come back for S5 but man I don't know if my love for this game will return. They have really spoiled it for many players. Even if it was 8 hours farming, I'd love that but I can't because of the bots

BiS items to easy to get , this kills completely endgame farming 4. No good Endgame PVP at all 5. Faction System must be eliminated and be replaced by a good Guild System 6. No Guild activitiys at all , no guild stor , nothing just wars and playing togheter pushing dumb quests for wars 7. Old crafting system was much better with RNG , this keeps game alive , MMOS need RNG !! 8. You need enchacment system for gear and weps , which wll make chars stronger than other chars , also keeps game alive

I think it's a gamble. You merge at the same time as a (small) uptick in players. Returning players come back to a market that looks more like the one they left when they stopped playing (would suck to return to the game and see all of your stuff lost 50% of its value or w/e). The few existing players get rewarded a bit better for any prep they do before the season drops. Even if the players don't uptick very much, you still placebo what is left of the playerbase into thinking the game got more active again with the merges. Worst case scenario they have queue times but from the perspective of a dying game that is probably a good problem to have.
