i live with depression, but what helps me is to sit and play! it makes me disappear from the outside world and just live like someone else for a while! I am 35 years old, but I have not told my parents that I am depressed from time to time! Only told my closest friends! I love coming home from work, start a game to just disappear and think about something else! Keep up the good work and continue to upload your awesome content!
I've learned the best thing to do is constantly distract yourself. Negative thoughts are addictive when you think that way for a long time. I hope things turn out for you!! Depression is no joke
Try not to fall into the depression psy op everyone gets depressed dude its usually a result of our lives change what you can at the end of the day it is a choice to think more positive. Medications just numbs people and make them worse.

I can understand it from how "gamers" like to bandwagon onto things both good and bad, it's almost a game outside of the game. But thank you, I also like to hope that my positivity is rooted in truth, not blind to the issues and challenges that are ahead of us. But not making up things to fit a narrative for views.
Literally everything in this video is wrong except for some pvp things and the fact that you can swim. This is obviously a bought bot comment along with most of these replies. Guy is either a shill or uninformed.
Things that need to change: The war system, a very low percentage actually get to participate. The manual control of the schedule for wars, they should be automated. Territory control, the biggest company usually dominates your entire play experience. The gold distribution, it makes that same low percentage richer than everyone else beyond what they can reach themselves. The towns, crafting and taxes are also controlled by this small percentage. The nonexistent end game, that is stale and boring after you complete all the quests and dungeons. There's 1 OPR map that most people sit around and queue for, because there's really nothing else to do. The chest runs seem to be about the best content in the game. The latency, lag and desync that will also be there due to the international ping monster from offshore sellers. Lots and lots of bots. Tons of microtransactions and more to come. And the ugliest skins in any game and will continue to devolve.
For those that put in 1k + hours this is just an update we expected a year ago. For new players it’s definitely worth playing. For players that quit early into the release before brimstone sands , it’s worth coming back to. I fall under the 1600 hour range and what I need is more PvP modes, ranked arena, new opr map etc. i need damage meters in mutators. So it’s probably not worth it for me to level on my 2nd fresh start server and make my third 60 but I can see this being a good game for the rest of the folks.

But other than that i played through the game two times and maxed out both characters in terms of weapon levels, gear for PvP and pve, crafting etc. I can’t bring myself to do it a third time for the new fresh start servers.
I think one of the biggest problems is that the default state of online gaming is seen as toxic. If you're someone who only puts in say 4-6 hours a week into a game it'll be months before you're max level. Even if you get to max level by that point you're months into a game and you've got to question if it's worth attempting end game content with others and risk their wrath because you don't know the meta. Communities like Guild Wars 2 or Warframe have fairly positive communities but those were built over years. I don't think new world has built that reputation so being more single player makes sense.

@@Oryyyt Majority of the new world team has already moved over to LOTR . It's been that way for a while. Everything within the past few years has just been adding in things to test for LOTR. This is the only reason why New world is coming to console. It's a test for LOTR and a money grab for development

As a RPer who enjoys to utilize a cast of characters that LOOK different… until they put some meat on the character customization; body types (at least a beefy height slider) and more character slots or at least an easy way to transfer items between characters you mean to delete to make others.. making allcash shop purchases account wide.. then I can’t say this game is the answer for me.

As someone who also suffers from depression i would like to recommend metacognitive terapi as an alternative to regular cognitive terapi. It's a completely different way of dealing with your thoughts. It helped me a lot and i still use some of the techniques many years later.
clocked over 4k hours on new world. not played in a year due to zero content. sadly there is nothing new for returning players. if you are new and on console try it out if you are returning on pc i would recommend starting a new character on a fresh start server with the console guys to experience the new leveling story as there is nothing new to focus on end game.
I have over 70 hours in the game and only made it to like level 30. I never finished the main story. I stopped because the quests got repetitive and boring, plus the population was so low I couldn’t even do dungeons or anything like that. I’ve heard a lot of those issues have been fixed, how true is that?
I hear about how solo friendly the game is however the better question is is it worth playing MULTIPLAYER? I dont play MMOs to play by myself... I have Plenty of single player games for that. Also while you can solo the story do you still have the option to party up if you want? As for flagging for pvp while you have the option to pvp flag, my question then is do you have incentives to flag? like better droprates, or ANY kinda benefit that would make you want to risk flaging for pvp vs not flagging and staying safe?
Always love your message of hope, bonus time... oh man I understand. I was born a early had a heart surgery in the early 80s my mom and dad didn't know if I would even make it off the table. They waited months to make sure the blood was tested for aids and other things back then. Ended up getting HePC from the surgery from the surgery, didn't find out until I was 20 and made sense why I never really was 100%. Found out when I was engaged to my wife (18 years of happy marriage) didn't want to get married cause I didn't want to birded her. Wanted to end my life and just give up. Long shot of it I am I did a treatment and it was brutal but it worked and 100% free of HePC and all good now. Years later maybe now 6 years I found out I had colitis and had to have a surgery to remove me colon and 10 feet of my intestinal track. I now have a parament stoma but feel so much better. I have been through so many things and with depression and its so great to have someone talk about it openly. God bless you brother and thank you for always making a great content and following up with something that can bring people hope. On a nerd note, when the game relaunches what server do you plan to play on I would love to join up with you and guild/company. Again thank so much for everyone of your messages of hope, they do hit hard sometimes and make a difference, never change. :)
Played about a year or so ago and finally being able to find groups to play dungeons with is enough for me to try it again. Also fresh start servers are always fun.
Could someone help me? I have New World and the DLC I am level 65. But I can’t even progress playing the single story line bc all these regular monsters are like level 70 and up. So now I’m automatically getting killed by a simple enemy. And I can’t get anymore XP or go past level up 65 bc that’s the max level. Will the new Aterenum fix that?
All sounds pretty good so far but here is my deciding factor, I spent a lot of money on costumes on my original character from the very original launch, can I use those costumes on a new character for these new servers?
Nevermind, I don't have the DLC (quit way before it came out) but seems you have to buy the DLC for the new content to become available, rip :( won't be getting it sadly then but the updates do look nice
I'll be 100% new to this game when it comes out. I played WoW for a couple years and always wished I could get the same experience casually on console. Hoping to get my 13 year old son to play with me too. Looking forward to playing.
Great information! So if I join a fresh start server so I lose all my items or just the character progress? I stopped playing a couple of months ago when the lobbies were taking way to long to que on the server I was on. I don't mind leveling up a new character on a packed server but it would kind of sting to lose all the stuff I farmed over a few hundred hours.
I like the changes coming, but it's I've asked around in game and the players have been very disappointed that there hasn't been like any decent content for over a year and it worry's me that amazon isn't going to excel at doing more end game systems for everyone once this is released. I asked about road maps too and apparently amazon doesn't even follow those either so I can't trust that. Maybe if the game is doing well in 6 months I may invest more into it. honestly just happy they are adding the fresh start servers, i started playing when they did the 1st fresh start servers, back in oktober 2022 with the brimstone sands update, havent played since then really, and just been waiting for new fresh start servers, because with the low player base, the game just feels to dead, a downside games like wow doesnt have when starting a new character, this is gonna be fun, i hope. prayers to all, hangout there, because at the end of the dark tunnel, there is the light.
I would wait personally. Just so you can experience the dungeons with a group and be apart of the fresh servers. Unless you want to test weapons, definitely give it a go.
Dude i have those thoughts myself and yeah it’s tough at times, but your stronger then you know, after all you’re here. I want to encourage you to try to seek out a good therapist or get with anyone in your life who you can talk with. The world is better with you in it, even if it does feel like too much at times. Never give up, you’re worth it.

How old are you, just curious, glad you're not talking about hurting yourself, but I can remember feeling like that when I was in my 20s at times. Maybe you just need a little vacation and change up to your daily routine, I wouldn't encourage anyone to just disappear on their lives, but change while scary, can be just want we need at times.
@@gingerlovesmmos I'm 28, when I did want to hurt myself I was 25 but my cats saved my life because I relized I couldn't abandoned them. It's just the last year was the worst year of my life because I lost both of my cats last year on March 13th and April 13th and then on October 13th I lost mine and my mom's dog, plus more horrible stuff. I'm doing way better now and everyday I feel a little better because I got a kitten named Gídí (it means cat in my tribes language Southern Athabaskan) in June so, it's just sometimes get really depressed and can't see a way out but I don't want put it everything on you. My insurance doesn't pay for play therapy and Im not able to afford therapy or a vacation sadly so I'm looking into other options that are free until I can afford therapy or a vacation because I know my mental health is very bad and I know I need help, until I can find something I've been using games to help and they help a little but I know I need someone to talk to so I can start feeling better. Sorry if my reply gets you down or depressed.
I understand the concept of fresh start servers, but it’s bad game design if that’s something they feel they need to do on a semi regular basis. Why don’t they just implement more catch up systems?
It's been about six months since I last played. I logged in yesterday thinking I'd level up my last toon to lvl 65. It took me TWENTY MINUTES to log in and teleport to the zone I wanted to play in!!!. I've NEVER seen any game perform as badly as NW - 20 MINUTES - REALLY? I have a fiber connection to the Internet (I live in the EU), so it's not the connection. What the hell? I have a limited amount of time to game and don't have 15 minutes to waste every time I change zones. You'd think a cloud company could make a game that at least performs as good as WOW or ESO.
I know when the game first came out in 2021, I said it needed a couple years in the tank. It felt like the game was not even bare bones, they gave us just enough to justify selling a game to get money to fund more development. I always compared it to a game like Warcraft which paved the way for games like this one. I said the game needed more PVE content, it has added more. I said the price of rent was too damn high lol it has gone down. I said it needed mounts, running around on foot was far too tedious and felt very slow paced, they added mounts. Small bodies of water and walking along the bottom instead of swimming, they added swimming. Needed something to do other than OPR and PVP and wars. Now there are raids and raid bosses. What it boils down to is this, the game needed time to cook. It has spent that time and is still moving forward. There is a few things I still feel the game is missing though, vendors to sell junk to and make better gold than relying on the trading post. Other ways to make gold besides relying on the dismal quest gold rewards and feeling forced to turn to the auction house/trading post hoping someone isn't out there under cutting you. There may need to be a revamp to the trading post. I like Warcrafts current set up. You don't need an add on. Just put something and it says 30k people are selling this item. Someone buys it, its yours that sells and so on. I like the direction the game is going. I played it on PC and took a break. I'm going to give it a good fresh on the PS5. Is New World this perfect game? Gosh no. But it definitely is not this bare bones skeleton of a game that it was in 2021. And is in a better game development spot than angry earth even. I just wish we didn't have to rely on the trading post to make vast amounts of gold selling to other players.
just be careful on how much vitamin d you take. due to taking too much it started to affect my kidneys that started having kidney stones so vitamins should be considered like taking a prescription. yes vitamin d helps a lot but how much you take is also an issue. i tend to take blood test yearly to make sure how my vitamin d is doing from my regular doc.
@@gingerlovesmmosis the gearing system and economy still trash? Like making money was so difficult and everything was so expensive due to gold sinks. Like I wanted to get gear and try builds but couldn’t because you had to spend a life’s fortune to get a decent set of gear.
Your levels will still all be there, and yes it’s easy to make money on a legacy server but on a fresh start server I’m going to bet coin will be harder to come by.

Sounds great but I have huge dislike towards fresh restart servers. It always gives me Archeage vibes as it went down and down and they tried milking as much money as possible with constantly bringing new fresh start servers. I really hope NW doesn’t go that path and can actually stick to their current servers and maintain it for years, Can you imagine ESO doing fresh start? Yeah me neither. Let’s go NW!

Thrones feel like a a phone game. Idk how you find that fun. Plus the pay2w and the fact you get limited reward for dungeon can’t spam pass it 3 time is crazy. Feel more like a check the block and a job than a game. NW has survive and will make a come back.

why release an expansion on a TUESDAY...instead of on Friday so more people can play on the release?

Is your healing build video from 2 years ago still viable? I havent played in 2 years, and I want to go back and heal the console crowd.

There are some new things like the raid, FFA PvP zone, and QOL updates. But not enough to really get people excited

I have over 70 hours in the game and only made it to like level 30. I never finished the main story. I stopped because the quests got repetitive and boring, plus the population was so low I couldn’t even do dungeons or anything like that. I’ve heard a lot of those issues have been fixed, how true is that?

I hear about how solo friendly the game is however the better question is is it worth playing MULTIPLAYER? I dont play MMOs to play by myself... I have Plenty of single player games for that. Also while you can solo the story do you still have the option to party up if you want? As for flagging for pvp while you have the option to pvp flag, my question then is do you have incentives to flag? like better droprates, or ANY kinda benefit that would make you want to risk flaging for pvp vs not flagging and staying safe?
Always love your message of hope, bonus time... oh man I understand. I was born a early had a heart surgery in the early 80s my mom and dad didn't know if I would even make it off the table. They waited months to make sure the blood was tested for aids and other things back then. Ended up getting HePC from the surgery from the surgery, didn't find out until I was 20 and made sense why I never really was 100%. Found out when I was engaged to my wife (18 years of happy marriage) didn't want to get married cause I didn't want to birded her. Wanted to end my life and just give up. Long shot of it I am I did a treatment and it was brutal but it worked and 100% free of HePC and all good now. Years later maybe now 6 years I found out I had colitis and had to have a surgery to remove me colon and 10 feet of my intestinal track. I now have a parament stoma but feel so much better. I have been through so many things and with depression and its so great to have someone talk about it openly.

Played about a year or so ago and finally being able to find groups to play dungeons with is enough for me to try it again.
Also fresh start servers are always fun.

Could someone help me? I have New World and the DLC I am level 65. But I can’t even progress playing the single story line bc all these regular monsters are like level 70 and up. So now I’m automatically getting killed by a simple enemy. And I can’t get anymore XP or go past level up 65 bc that’s the max level. Will the new Aterenum fix that?

All sounds pretty good so far but here is my deciding factor, I spent a lot of money on costumes on my original character from the very original launch, can I use those costumes on a new character for these new servers?
Nevermind, I don't have the DLC (quit way before it came out) but seems you have to buy the DLC for the new content to become available, rip :( won't be getting it sadly then but the updates do look nice
I'll be 100% new to this game when it comes out. I played WoW for a couple years and always wished I could get the same experience casually on console. Hoping to get my 13 year old son to play with me too. Looking forward to playing.
Great information! So if I join a fresh start server so I lose all my items or just the character progress? I stopped playing a couple of months ago when the lobbies were taking way to long to que on the server I was on. I don't mind leveling up a new character on a packed server but it would kind of sting to lose all the stuff I farmed over a few hundred hours.

I like the changes coming, but it's I've asked around in game and the players have been very disappointed that there hasn't been like any decent content for over a year and it worry's me that amazon isn't going to excel at doing more end game systems for everyone once this is released. I asked about road maps too and apparently amazon doesn't even follow those either so I can't trust that. Maybe if the game is doing well in 6 months I may invest more into it. honestly just happy they are adding the fresh start servers, i started playing when they did the 1st fresh start servers, back in oktober 2022 with the brimstone sands update, havent played since then really, and just been waiting for new fresh start servers, because with the low player base, the game just feels to dead, a downside games like wow doesnt have when starting a new character, this is gonna be fun, i hope. prayers to all, hangout there, because at the end of the dark tunnel, there is the light.

I would wait personally. Just so you can experience the dungeons with a group and be apart of the fresh servers. Unless you want to test weapons, definitely give it a go.

I want to encourage you to try to seek out a good therapist or get with anyone in your life who you can talk with. The world is better with you in it, even if it does feel like too much at times. Never give up, you’re worth it.

How old are you, just curious, glad you're not talking about hurting yourself, but I can remember feeling like that when I was in my 20s at times. Maybe you just need a little vacation and change up to your daily routine, I wouldn't encourage anyone to just disappear on their lives, but change while scary, can be just want we need at times.
@@gingerlovesmmos I'm 28, when I did want to hurt myself I was 25 but my cats saved my life because I relized I couldn't abandoned them. It's just the last year was the worst year of my life because I lost both of my cats last year on March 13th and April 13th and then on October 13th I lost mine and my mom's dog, plus more horrible stuff. I'm doing way better now and everyday I feel a little better because I got a kitten named Gídí (it means cat in my tribes language Southern Athabaskan) in June so, it's just sometimes get really depressed and can't see a way out but I don't want put it everything on you. My insurance doesn't pay for play therapy and Im not able to afford therapy or a vacation sadly so I'm looking into other options that are free until I can afford therapy or a vacation because I know my mental health is very bad and I know I need help, until I can find something I've been using games to help and they help a little but I know I need someone to talk to so I can start feeling better. Sorry if my reply gets you down or depressed.
I understand the concept of fresh start servers, but it’s bad game design if that’s something they feel they need to do on a semi regular basis. Why don’t they just implement more catch up systems?

It's been about six months since I last played. I logged in yesterday thinking I'd level up my last toon to lvl 65. It took me TWENTY MINUTES to log in and teleport to the zone I wanted to play in!!!. I've NEVER seen any game perform as badly as NW - 20 MINUTES - REALLY? I have a fiber connection to the Internet (I live in the EU), so it's not the connection. What the hell? I have a limited amount of time to game and don't have 15 minutes to waste every time I change zones. You'd think a cloud company could make a game that at least performs as good as WOW or ESO.

I know when the game first came out in 2021, I said it needed a couple years in the tank. It felt like the game was not even bare bones, they gave us just enough to justify selling a game to get money to fund more development. I always compared it to a game like Warcraft which paved the way for games like this one. I said the game needed more PVE content, it has added more. I said the price of rent was too damn high lol it has gone down. I said it needed mounts, running around on foot was far too tedious and felt very slow paced, they added mounts. Small bodies of water and walking along the bottom instead of swimming, they added swimming. Needed something to do other than OPR and PVP and wars. Now there are raids and raid bosses. What it boils down to is this, the game needed time to cook. It has spent that time and is still moving forward. There is a few things I still feel the game is missing though, vendors to sell junk to and make better gold than relying on the trading post. Other ways to make gold besides relying on the dismal quest gold rewards and feeling forced to turn to the auction house/trading post hoping someone isn't out there under cutting you. There may need to be a revamp to the trading post. I like Warcrafts current set up. You don't need an add on. Just put something and it says 30k people are selling this item. Someone buys it, its yours that sells and so on. I like the direction the game is going. I played it on PC and took a break. I'm going to give it a good fresh on the PS5. Is New World this perfect game? Gosh no. But it definitely is not this bare bones skeleton of a game that it was in 2021. And is in a better game development spot than angry earth even. I just wish we didn't have to rely on the trading post to make vast amounts of gold selling to other players.
Is Aeternum just an update? or a dlc? i cant see it anywhere on steam so just confused
aeternum is technically free, but you need the base game and the angry earth expansion to be able to experience everything in the game.
you should eat Pasture Raised Eggs and Cod Liver for Vit d. Or Fish+ organs.

just be careful on how much vitamin d you take. due to taking too much it started to affect my kidneys that started having kidney stones so vitamins should be considered like taking a prescription. yes vitamin d helps a lot but how much you take is also an issue. i tend to take blood test yearly to make sure how my vitamin d is doing from my regular doc.

Your levels will still all be there, and yes it’s easy to make money on a legacy server but on a fresh start server I’m going to bet coin will be harder to come by.

Sounds great but I have huge dislike towards fresh restart servers. It always gives me Archeage vibes as it went down and down and they tried milking as much money as possible with constantly bringing new fresh start servers.
I really hope NW doesn’t go that path and can actually stick to their current servers and maintain it for years,

Thrones feel like a a phone game. Idk how you find that fun. Plus the pay2w and the fact you get limited reward for dungeon can’t spam pass it 3 time is crazy. Feel more like a check the block and a job than a game. NW has survive and will make a come back.
@@B3ASTE That hasn't been my experience at all. Maybe the early beta felt like a phone game, but it feels great now. Maybe as I get further into it my opinion will change, but enjoying it for now.
