I think the best is when the plot of the game and the relationships between characters are interwoven! I mean this is why we play otome games right, we need some romance! Having said that, I’m really enjoying Code:Realize right now and I’m excited to get the romance fix in the FDs!

Okay, this is like, the first time ever an otome game plot has put me off more than the art and visuals have. I'm generally strong on visuals when it comes to otomes and visual novels in general, I'd read a bad story for the "pretty" art and struggle to read good stories with unappealing to me art. This is the first time I'm utterly disgusted by the plot so much that even the gorgeous art can't save it for me. I hate it because it's not the artist's fault but this is just garbage, a lot of women play otome games to escape how we are treated by the patriarchy in relationships.... This is just terrible. Never giving money to the creators of this game.

Especially if you are currently in a depressive state try to seek professional help before it escaletes with you going to sleep and waking up in a different world.

If there's anything I hate most in playing romance games, is playing a very submissive and weak character. I like my leading lady being able to stand up to herself and have a brain. Same with BL games - don't wanna play a guy who gets weepy at the drop of a hat. I suppose I don't mind playing someone who starts off weak but grows stronger as the story goes along but... this game obviously has the female lead end the same way as she started. Shame, since I do find some of the guys pretty cute and the premise sounded like it could have been interesting. Oh well...

That sucks because this game was one of the few otome games I was excited. Because of the beautiful art and interesting lore. But this game being misogynistic was not what I was expecting and it sucks.

I really much enjoyed the first game even though I am more into dark themed otome games. But the comedy made the game so fun and made me chuckle so I pre ordered the second game asap! Looking forward to it!
