Cupid Parasite Sweet and Spicy Darling will actually release on September 28th! I would have never guessed that! A month after the Radiant Tale and Shuuen no Virche FD - so many FDs 😱
And Wand of Fortune R II the second romantic continuation (the 4th and last game of the franchise) is ported on September 14th ❤
And Hana Awase part 1 New Moon will be released October 26th!
I know my wallet will be upset,, but I'm beyond excited for so many games lol. I can't believe how much otome has grown and really am looking forward to what the future holds for the genre too! 😭

Since I discovered Otome games last year, I became obsess with them! But I only have Steam so I miss a lot of this ones. BUT BUSTAFELLOW 2!? I literally GASP! and my husband looked at me with a weird look xD . With "Nameless", "Bustafellow" both are the best game of Otome I played! I really, REALLY, really hope they release it on steam too. Thank you very much for this wondeful news.

@@LinLinLavender Not really. It will not 'harm' to play White, but it is as if we fallowed other guys since start, like Boris, fe.
So, White knowledge can be fun, BUT in sum up, You fallow other narration, anyway. You can as much ask 'what sense got playing SPADES, without Hearts(only translated part), Clover, Diamond, Joker... Yes. You see cards analogy.
Because even with glimpses of knowledge(through as for me Quinn Rose graph was MUCH BETTER) from Heart no Kuni no Alice(anniversary version), we know, our dear tsundere Alice is deep under hunted by very DARK memories.
Well. If You project Your wonderland being mafia lands fighting each other, where each character remind of ones You know in real life, You are disturbed in first place. 😜
Less, of course, than McGee Alice... Sorry, I still am VERY pissed on EA for refusing sponsoring(AND LETTING GO SO FANS CAN SPONSORE) Alice Asylum(3rd part of Alice McGee 'horror wonderland' classic, continuation of Alice Madness Returns), so it popped front of head, when I talk about ALICE. 😅
BUT If it comfort You, as much as SPADES are made as Quinn Rose Reborn project, IFI fallowed their own route, so without Kuro oart YET BEING RELEASE, as alternation starts from prologue... I don't think, that White was much needed, especially if one played Heart parts and know GLIMPSES of Alice world.

How come you haven't played Bustafellows yet?? OMG I just love it so much, I might be bias cause it was my second Otome Game ever, right after Code Realize, which I've come to realize is a very introductory option for new otome gamers. But I'm looking forward to watching your review to Bustafellows once you play it!

Looking for an "all-rounder" I guess? My only requeriment is having a PC version (I know the Switch is an Otome paradise but I don't have the console yet), it doesn't have to be from this year, older games are fine too.

On PC are the classics Hakuouki and Amnesia, everyone loves them apparently
Or the newer game Bustafellows, which is more like a crime movie
Amnesia is very eerie as you lost your memories and don't know who to trust
And Hakuouki is historical fantasy
Those would be the top 3 on PC I think
the ones that look great to me are Norn 9 FD, radiant tale FD, tengoku struggle, wand of fortune R. norn9's opening song is SOOOOOO good and memorable!! so airy!~ im currently playing radiant tale on switch. the hakuoki school game would be nice to play too, i remember seeing info about it years and years ago after the original game came to be localized, was so interested to see the characters in a modern environment if only~

@@LinLinLavender I do suggest it! Some of the routes were more romantic then the others, and it's the first visual novel i have played in a few years. But i'm glad i did, i got hooked on it and really fell for some of the characters. All of them are lovable, ofc. I am just very picky when it comes to type ;)
I enjoyed the story of it and once you have played trough the routes in the suggested order, the story and revolations come in a good phase and keeps you hooked. At least in my case!
I don't know if it is perfect as i haven't played otome games in a few years now. But personally i really enjoyed my experiance with it and am glad that i played trough it :)

I'm a huge fan of xxx no Kuni no Alice games, and I'd definitely recommend trying the Shinsouban Heart no Kuni no Alice edition for PS Vita first if you have a chance. That's where you can really understand what's going on. Otherwise, Spade tries to explain stuff, but there's just too much, so you may feel lost a bit.

About HAKUOKI and J&J, this duality makes me laugh. Chizuru is in 'all boys school', because in HAKUOKI she is dressed up as guy, travelling in searching for her father, she ends pretending guy, because she needs to stay with Shinsengumi, that are all men organization. So for her savety, they pretend, she is guy.
As for SSL, I agree, it is mostly for Hakuoki stans, but game itself is also created for those, that didn't play that game. As plot got no connection to deeply historical plot. 🤷🏻♀️

Well I tried to get into Hakuouki SSL, but really couldn't, as I didn't know who all those characters are 🤣 and I think that sucks huge parts of the fun out of it. But you're right, that at least the story is not connected
@@LinLinLavender Yeah. As with most AU sequels, it just takes familar faces in new roles. So it could be fan to new player, if they take this game like Storm Lover Kai, or any even 'hotties to spend time with' in school. Through, again, as played english patched fan Vita version, SSL doesn't give any DEPTH to characters, as their 'mission' here is just spend cute time with MC, is it during setted meetings, group travelling, events, or mission. Like, AS HAKUOKI fan I got fun... But UNTRANSLATED QUIZES was HARD. But, agree, in BIG part it is for HAKUOKI fans... Through, let me repeat. I am not beliveable source, if HAKUOKI comes in game.
I will say, before Shuen no Virche idea ever got born HAKUOKI was spreading 'aaaaand You died' idea. But, yeah. They got 'happy endings'. Like HEY, AT LEAST YOUR LI IS ALIVE. 😂
That is why it is so funny for me, that You - loving despair - can't start HAKUOKI, where You join samurai on neverending slaughter, as demon Yourself(daddy issues in bonus). But HAKUOKI got such tremendous GROUP BOND... Only minus is, if one is more into LOVE, then 'lets show otome fans historic heroes as hotties and make neverending cult of it'. 😂

It was one of the first anime i ever watched, and even tho it's trashy i really much liked it. I definitely want to play it, but there's no english edition (exept for one game of the series i believe)

@@merciheaca1313diabolik lovers has even trouble being localized in china(where they localized a few rejet games) and aksys had hinted there's lots of red tape when asked. It may be because of content that makes it difficult.

There rather are RPGs with romance aspects, like Baldurs Gate etc. I'm sadly not an expert in other genres...maybe try googling for games with dating mechanics?

“ Wand of Fortune” is thought for a younger audience” -- meanwhile in Japan, this franchise is really popular among women in their 30’s and older… I mean, just because it’s not as steamy (have you played the fd and sequel?), it doesn’t mean it’s aimed at younger audiences🙄 (and well, if you haven’t played the other games, I think it’s too soon to judge the whole saga)
And as someone that’s been playing otome games since the early 2000’s I really miss the gameplay in otome games (thanks Ruby Party for not forgetting your roots!), the visual novel style becomes very repetitive and boring 😞

I really wonder why not more games implement gameplay, as my impression is, that gameplay games tend to be more popular. What do you think?
@@LinLinLavender because a lot of the additional gameplay stuff can be seen as very time consuming and as consumption goes up with plenty of choices, ppl can't afford to pump so many hours on one game. Except for a few companies who stick to it, many prefer to have it a little easier for players, though I also surmise that the big shots think girls prefer not to have so busy a gameplay (whether it be true or not)
@@gilliantoh4658 as always, you're making a very interesting point! I never considered gameplay games actually are more time consuming! But indeed, if you cut the gameplay, that of course would make these games shorter 😆 there should be a skip gameplay choice 🤭
@@LinLinLavender that's not possible for this game because the stats determine the events gained. Sure it can be fine tuned but I wouldn't want it to be devoid of the gameplay too much

I don't know...ask the developers 🤣 very inconsistent writing if you ask me...
Winter's Wish is the first otome game I've played through completely, and I must say that although the plot/premise was quite interesting, it felt like there wasn't too much of a buildup between the heroine and the LIs because of the lack of emotions. It kinda felt like it went from them being just acquaintances with no emotional attachment, to suddenly lovers who would risk their lives for each other 😅 especially the true end where they reveal everything. The twist was interesting, but I couldn't really follow the enemies to lovers development. Don't get me wrong--the good endings were pretty cute and even bad endings had fanservice-y CGs. I did wish one of the side characters was a LI (Kyoshiro 😭), so hopefully if they ever release a sequel...in any case, I thoroughly enjoyed the game despite this, and I finished playing through everything in 5 days, which is a huge feat for someone like me who never finishes games 😂
