I loved watching you teach your children. It made me miss homeschooling my bigger boys so much and I can't wait to do so with my little one. It is good you are playful with them. beautiful video! I have found that alot of this is all about 'training' yourself. Training yourself to be content with what you have, to attempt only what you have time & energy for, to see the big picture & let go of the little stresses/irritations. Once you can consistently see things thru these lenses, then you will find contentment, & I dare i even say 'JOY', over homemaking tasks. There are certain tasks that I enjoy more than others, true, but just getting to be home, with my kids, serving my husband, time for the Lord, time to be in nature, & the master of my own schedule is enough to make me let go of alot of the small irritations or feelings of exhaustion.

I think one thing to remember is that homemaker doesn’t mean just you, but your husband and children as well. Similar to how a church building with no one in it is just a building. We are the church, the homemakers. We all need to come closer to Christ, bear each others burdens and run our race so as to win it.

Right before watching this video I was taking my baby out of the high chair and started cleaning the strawberries, bib, and napkin that fell to the floor. For a moment, I sighed and thought lovely, another little mess to clean up, but then immediately after that thought, I said, well this is just a small moment to make me holy. I thought, pick this up with love as if it were being done for Christ, because after all my child is an image bearer of Christ. I continued thinking if Jesus was right here beside me I would clean up a thousand messes without complaint, so don't complain now. I am doing this for Him, for my little Christ bearers. Thank you for this encouraging video that literally revealed what God placed in my hearts just a few moments earlier before your video came up on my feed. God is so good! He is always whispering these truths into our hearts and showing us in another visible way exactly what he needs us to hear. God bless you and your family, Kelsey!

Everything we do in our day to day lives, no matter how big or how small should be done for the glory of God and that makes it purposeful. It is plain to see you put a lot of love in all the details of your life all for God's glory!

I struggle with wanting to please the lord, but having a struggle loving family members while trying to be Christian. I come from an abusive childhood, physical, mental, verbal. My childhood was very dysfunctional. I carry so much sadness heartache and baggage into my adult life. My mother pretty much abandoned my brother and I as kids, choosing a very deceitful, wicked life over her children. Raised by our grandparents, we grew up with love , caring, joyus and faithful extended family. My mom barely spoke to us or other family members and we basically grew up without her in our lives. Every time I tried to have a relationship with her, it was toxic , damaging and unhealthy. Now she is in later years and I struggle to want to love and accept this person into my life . hundreds of times in my life I have tried to be her daughter, but because of the estrangement, her lack of mothering, and her evil ways, I cannot feel closeness, love or even any connection whatsoever to her. How does God view this. I struggle with this my entire life. What do I do . does God want me to be continually hurt and abused by this person.? I want to serve God and live by his principles, but how do I do that when I feel no love or connection to a heartless, abusive , evil parent.

I don't understand the narrative, you seem to be expressing a complete dependency on the bells and wistles ofbthos world, You even broadcast some commercial interesy at the beginning od the episode. What then have you renounced? You consume as the girl next door.

This morning while I was waking up, still half asleep in my bed. I had these words in my head. "You can't have real hope when you're not filled with faith in Me (Jesus). They go together." 3:52 Great job picking those hooves! you're a pro LOL We discussed this idea of being of one accord, or gathering with like minded people at our women's group last night, at length. We were studying 1Peter 4 and talking about hospitality & the importance of Christians surrounded themselves with other Christians in order to strengthen one another, practice love & compassion, learn how to serve one another without grumbling. Reminds me of the old adage, " you are the company you keep". We ALL acknowledged how hard it is to do these things WITHOUT grumbling. It is like, you can do them & do them often, but then you start in on the complaining. Once that sets in, you are no longer serving GOD, but yourself. One thing that is proving to be difficult with this group that I started is the grumbling. Seems like when you get a group of women together they want to start complaining & unless it is a super structured itinerary, it is hard to keep from doing this. I have found myself several times trying to stop this from taking over the whole mtg or trying to redirect, redirect, redirect to get us back on topic. And you have to watch how others will feed your ego on this ... because there are others that will 'help' you justify your complaining & we should be wary of falling prey to that.

As soon as I heard verse 14 about murmuring, my face went like "No waaay!". That's me, that's still my lifestyle as a mom and a wife, and I am doing my best to get rid of complaining all the time. And I do desire to follow Jesus in all spheres of my life 💜 Thank you Kelsey for these beautiful reminders.

Something I really want to focus on is doing dishes after me and my fiancé eat. I have a bad problem with not doing this. I want to focus on doing better about this.

I’m not a mother, I’m only 24 and I eventually want kids after me and my fiancé marry, but I’ve been trying to follow and watch a lot of homemaking videos because I would love to be at home with my future kids, and taking care of my home.. this is so encouraging.❤

1 Corinthians 9:25. God reminded me yesturday to focus on heavenly rewards. Ie: well done good and faithful servant. I had surgery 15 days ago, today's the first day I'm off bed rest.
