- It has been a few weeks since my last video, but I can ensure you that I have read many of your comments and have seen and felt the outpouring of love that you all have shown me. It has meant so much to me that you all have been so caring and thoughtful during the loss of my grandpa, our family's sickness, and my other grandpa almost dying in the hospital. I am so grateful for all the love and friendship from you all. Thank you thank you thank you!
I am SO excited to be filming, editing, writing, cooking, and being creative again. I have so many (maybe too many) dreams and plans for "Westman Academy", and I can't wait to share it all with you. I am going to start by sharing a weekly: video(s), blog post, recipe, and email.

Besides the message of the video, my favorite part was where you were taking the jars off the counter to clean, and your precious little girl brought the stool to the counter thinking it was time to bake together. It’s obvious you spend a lot of one on one time doing special things and making memories. ❤

glad you are all feeling better. Sometimes we just need rest. I decided that my teen daughter & I needed a 'break' for homeschooling, so we took this week off. I am feeling run down, physically & spiritually & need time to recharge. We were starting to get on each other's nerves & nothing was getting accomplished in the spirit that it needed to be done. I, too, have been feeling out my 'goal'. Sharing my homemaking & homeschooling knowledge & my faith in the Lord are the things that have moved my heart. I have found out that once I started doing this, though, there are some very hurting people out there....& they have laid some very heavy spiritual burdens on my soul. Seeing others living the way you described is very uplifting for me. And I am so down with slow, meaningful ways of living. My hubby & I say, we are moving so slow we are going backwards in time & that is the way we like it. LOL💞
I love that! I love your goal and what you and your husband say. We also took a much needed break from homeschool, and it's crazy how much better and more excited we all are. This is very encouraging to me! You are doing such awesome things for your family, and I am 100% on board with the slow living too!

I am truly sorry to hear of your illness. That is a long time to be sick. To deal with the loss of a loved one on top of it is even rougher. I am glad that you have God to give you help each day through those hardships. I am glad your other grandfather is healed and doing well. You must be so young (but very wise). My grandparents would be over 100 if they were alive today. It is a blessing to receive long life, to have close bonds with family too. I had no bonds with my grandparents (never knew my grandfathers and my grandmothers were very selfish ladies who did not spend much time with me, unfortunately), so I love hearing when people have good ones.

I agree with you about the sound of birds and nature. The sound of the Amish is wonderful. They are Anabaptist Christians (as am I, but I am not Amish), just as you are a Catholic Christian. :)
So you are from Kansas and now in Wisconsin? I have never been to either place.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandparents. It doesn't seem like how you are as a mother you will be that way as a grandma. We are from Nebraska, but moved to Kansas and now Wisconsin. We are everywhere, lol. I think I did know that about the Amish, but also know they have some additional rules too?...at least I'm learning about the ones I live by. Thank you for your kind words, keep sharing the love of Jesus!
@@faithfulacresfarmhouseYes. The Amish all have sets of “Ordnung” that is a bit legalistic to follow. Some are looser than others but they can be crazy (like how many buttons a woman’s dress should have).

We were also sick for most of Lent with influenza and it took a lot out of us. Would love to know how you find time to take care of your home and plan a garden? Do you allow your kids to have some screen time?
My kids watch a movie from the DVD they picked at the Library on Tuesdays after they finish school. They occasionally get another movie Thursday depending on how school goes and if I need to do a voiceover, otherwise the kids do everything with me. They run around all over my feet and pull chairs up next to me while I work. I also get up at 5 and do Bible time with my husband until he leaves at 6 and do stuff from 6-7 before they wake up. I do tell my kids to play and sometimes they are crying while I get things done.

Hi Kelsey! Wondering your advice about something. We're a very conservative Catholic homeschooling family in NJ. Being that our state is so liberal (sanctuary abortion state amongst other things) I'm wondering if we should move to a more conservative state that goes more in line with our values. What would you do? Being that we're Catholic, certain things here are obviously so against our beliefs. So just looking for advice. Thank you!❤
Keep praying! I truly believe God will lay it on both you and your husband's hearts where He wants you to be. My husband and I would have NEVER said or thought we'd move to Wisconsin, then God put it on both of our hearts (so weird). It's a really hard choice. I totally understand wanting to be in a more conservative and religious area. That is how I felt when we lived in Omaha. In my opinion, if you could find your Catholic / Christian community where you are, it will make a big difference. Try to plug into your church or one near you. Do you have any Catholic homeschool groups meeting up near you? Or even mom groups - Christian mom groups? Sadly, those areas won't change or be better if no one of faith lives there. However, it is encouraging and enjoyable to live in an area where most people have the same morals and beliefs as you. I will pray for you. Keep praying. You will feel the Holy Spirit leading you. Try to make the most of where you're at now, and getting involved in the Church as much as you can. Sorry if this has errors, I have a little one who needs me and I can't proofread yet. May God help you during this time.
