Adding a touch of simple beauty to your day can be so uplifting ,whether it be something from nature brought inside, a good smelling candle, or a bright ,clean kitchen hand towel. Little gifts from God that we already own can be so inspiring….
Little touches of creative beauty encourage us and our families .

Hi! I've been watching for since Oct. This one is a favorite! First I wanted to say, that i fought God w my whole being on staying home. We couldn't have kids, but medical issues have made impossible to work. I felt I was wasting my time and energy not using the gifts God gave me. Over several months of sitting w God and his word I finally surrendered. It's changed my life. My marraige has a renewed focus and beauty. My priorities are heaven focused and servant focused. But the most shocking thing for me, was when I realized, that he gave me these gifts for this calling! I believe that now. I'm still practicing, but I feel completely fulfilled. 2 other quick notes. One of the things I value about your pod cats is your calm voice. Your were talking today about inviting your kids to take part in what you are doing and teaching them real skills. So awesome!! But also, I noticed your older daughter speaks calmly too! What treasure you are giving your kids, they are emulating! Just wanted to encourage you! I know how weary we all get at times. I'm encouraged by you! C

You are very inspiring to me, and I need to practice keeping my priorities heaven focused. This is very encouraging to me 🥰. I love how God turned something hard into something beautiful.

Love your videos! I am a working mom (band director) and had all but given up on taking initiative to care for my husband, home and 3 girls. Your videos have helped me see the joy that completing these tasks can bring. Praying for you and your journey!

Most people I know LOVE to do things with their kids and grandkids. I am 62. Children are never an inconvenience ! Are you seeing this in mass media or from people you witness in the world? I am disturbed by this idea, I don't see it around me personally....children are so rare now. I wonder if we had more public places outside for families to gather if it would make a difference in perception? I am not in a rural area, but not in a big city.

I've got a 20 yo daughter living at home & it doesn't get any better with time 🤣 but at least now SHE is in charge of her own laundry LOL. She always changed multiple times a day & usually into something wholly inappropriate for the climate or time of day. sweaters & rainboots on a 100 degree august bedtime....shorts & a bathing suit in February in Upstate NY. We spent a lot of time 'arguing' over clothing choice. Finally I realized that if I didn't want her putting on shorts in Feb., maybe I should be smart & pack them out of sight, out of mind.

Your property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful looking ❤
I love that “give them an invitation“ to your kids if you are feeling that irritated feeling. Powerful words right there. I need to practice that. I get frustrated when I’m working and have to stop for my kids several times a day. I feel guilty both ways for working and for taking care of the kids. And I keep telling myself that my kids really are the most important. 😊
My daughter actually prefers not to wear clothes a lot 😅 she’s 7.
I would say I feel weary at bedtime routine with the kids because it takes longer than I feel like it should, but I know I will miss it so I try to embrace it when I think of that. My daughter just recently asked me to teach her to see! My heart felt so excited when she said that. I was about her age when my mom taught me to hand sew. I am looking forward to teaching her. ❤

Oh, that is so precious that she wants to learn. It is very hard finding a good kid work balance. I 100% agree, and I also feel guilty. I also have to tell myself "kids come first" a lot. It's especially hard when you just want to get something done. You are doing such wonderful things for your family though, and your channel. They are very blessed to have you!

    Hi Kelsey
The download has a problem. I typed in all the boxes and it will not continue and keeps heading back to my name. I am mostly interested in the bread recipe you mentioned in this video. Thanks.

Email me at kelsey@westmanacademyhomeschool.com and I'll send the download over! Is it the meal plan?
      My bread recipe is:
1 cup warm to hot water + 2.5 tsp yeast + 1 tsp sugar (mixed)
      1 stick melted butter
      1/4 cup sugar
1 egg + 1 egg white (save yolk for egg wash before baking - egg wash is that yolk + 1 tsp water)
      1 tsp salt
3.5 cups flour (until its sticky but not to the point you can't remove it from your fingers). I like to mix it for 15 minutes until super smooth.
Rise for an hour or more
Shape into 2 loaves or 1 artisan loaf and rise again another 45 minutes or more
Bake at 425 for 25-30 minutes (I usually do 25).
