As I was working on creating a video on attitude and a Godly home atmosphere, God placed on my heart the idea of going through The First Letter of Peter. This is one of my FAVORITE books in the Bible. I am not going to lie, I still don't feel super comfortable going through an entire book here on RUclips, or in a blog post. I feel like I lack the wisdom needed to cover these beautiful verses, but I am going to share all that the Holy Spirit prompts me to. I pray that the Holy Spirit speaks to you through this 3 video / blog post series, and brings you closer to Him.

Lol- I am moving furniture around today to accommodate new baby coming soon, and I can attest to the determined motivation.
In the last 6 months of trial for our family, Ive found that the Lord has really brought forward our habits and empty things to which we cling, that had we not experienced this trial, would have gone unchecked. I am so thankful that the Lord purifies us through suffering, and that it is divinely sifted through His loving hands that we may be found pure and holy at the time of His coming. ❤

Thank you so much for this video! It's the perfect reminder (for me at least) during this time of lent, that suffering is important in our walk of faith. It's truly in our sufferings that we become closer to Christ by seeing him work miracles in our life. To truly enter into my sufferings and to find joy in accepting all the trials and tribulations that the Lord allows into my life, just shows how much He can pull me out through his love and mercy! Thank you once again for taking the time out of your busy life to proclaim this message of hope and comfort, especially during this time of lent. May the Lord continue to bless and guide you. Wow, my husband has a sister who is a nun and had three aunts who were nuns who have passed away but we use to travel to visit them in Fond du Lac at the Motherhouse. @@faithfulacresfarmhouse
My husband had three aunts that were nuns from the sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac. We use to go visit them before they passed. My husband also has a sister that is a Franciscan nun .@@faithfulacresfarmhouse

@@faithfulacresfarmhouse its relevant, God wants a pure bride not a bride who takes what God made and adds to it (adds makeup to herself). Ask GOD for yourself.
Regarding makeup, Billy Graham said that a little makeup is fine. Even a barn looks better with a little paint. He wasn't legalistic. He said your most precious beauty is on the inside, but your appearance means alot and helps bring glory to God.
Both Esther & Judith used beauty to Glory God. And They DID adorn themselves before heading out on their mission to 'save their people' & they DID bring great glory to Israel & GOD. As a matter of fact, Judith had been in mourning for many years & came out of mourning, adorned her hair, anointed herself with oils, put on gorgeous clothing & jewelry in order to bring the downfall of Holofernes. One can go too far being an aesthetic, if doing it for the wrong intentions, just as easily as a woman wearing makeup. There are many women who will try to make plainness a noticeable thing about themselves & this intention is just as wrong if one is doing it to bring attention to 'being holy'. It is called pride; considering oneself more righteous or holier than others.
