    WHAT'S NEW!
    -Heavenly Harvest Series
If you missed my last video, I shared that since being sick for two weeks, God has laid so many beautiful projects on my heart. I am excited to share that I will be starting "episodes" for "Heavenly Harvest", where I share new from scratch recipes and Scripture! The goal for my channel is to continue to create Scriptural and Biblically encouraging videos related to homemaking, but I wanted to add some homemaking "teaching" in there as well. In my videos, I don't always explain what I am doing or making, as I am speaking mainly about the Scriptural topic. Although this is wonderful, and I don't want it or plan for it to change, I do feel like I am lacking at providing actual homemaking help. That's why I am going to add a SECOND video (at least twice a month) bringing in more "homemaking how to's", while still adding Scripture.
    -Branding
If you haven't noticed, "Westman Academy" has now become "Faithful Acres Farmhouse". All of the homeschool curriculum that has been made will continue to remain "Westman Academy Homeschool". I created homeschool curriculum first, but now have really shifted gears to spreading the Word of Jesus through homemaking.

I really love cooking so much, especially for other people. it is such a great way to show love to others. Your buns you baked look so delicious. I did not hear babbling at all. Nehemiah is such a good book. I need to read it again. I bet it was fun to live in that time when things were changing amongst the people's hearts with an intense stirring!
My heart breaks for the women who beat themselves up all the time name calling themselves instead of encouraging themselves. I am glad you have put in your all! Keep doing so.
I love these papers you used while flattening the chicken.
I keep saying I am going to make a focaccia bread (I even had it in a meal plan but don't know what happened that day that I was unable to make the dough). I really need to do so! This weekend I will do it! I really love how you made the sandwiches with the bread. I have never made Dutch Babies, which is odd in a way, since my mom's family is very much about their Dutchness (though she is a mix). It looks amazing. I need to give it a go. Man, I am inspired today by you.
I just baked my mom's famous crumb cake this morning for an event we are going to tomorrow (she was asked to make it, but is arthritic and tired so I said I would since I make the same thing, but the people we will be seeing don't know it has been passed down - my mom doesn't cook much or bake much, but she is very well known for this item).
It made me joyful to see your little helpers in the video working hard. Aw. I just told my mom yesterday how I learned a lot watching her in the kitchen but am sad she didn't let me participate in helping. I think she would have been easily frustrated if I messed something up, but I watched a lot and she would tell me to learn by watching. . .so I did. It helps that I have a photographic memory, so I know what she did so very well in her cooking. I think children should interact more and learn by doing things in the kitchen rather than just watching. Great job that you have brought your children in.
May God give you a peaceful and blessed weekend.

Amen! I'm inspired! I justcrecently started cooking from scratch, I have a goal to cook this way 3 times a week. It sure is s blessing! All the nutrients, and you can't top the flavors. I liked what you said about trying recipes 5 times. It's so true. I've found a surprising bonus. Meal prepping any cooking is very mentally calming and relaxing for me. Praying God blesses you as you share. C.

I absolutely love your channel! Your videos are beautiful and have been giving me so much inspiration! I was wondering do your children eat the same things you and your husband do? We have a very picky 3.5 year old and while I know it’s common for this age, I would love for him to start eating the same things we do. Just curious how this works for your family and if you have any tips/suggestions. Thanks!

    • @faithfulacresfarmhouse
      @faithfulacresfarmhouse  2 дня назад +1

Yes, I don’t make anything different for any of my kids. If I realize I made something too spicy or they ate most of it I usually let them have something else. My kids know that if they don’t eat what I make then they don’t eat. It’s hard when kids are picky. I try to work with them though. I know my son hates onions so I try to make his without. You’re doing great, it’s hard when they’re picky.

@@faithfulacresfarmhousethank you so much! I’m really trying to stick to that, as well. I feel like if he’s hungry enough, he will eat but I do try to offer a healthy food he’s familiar with in case he doesn’t like what we’re eating. It’s hard but I’m praying it will get easier. Thank you again!

@@faithfulacresfarmhouse Do you think I can drive from NY to WN by Wednesday, if I start now????😆 seriously, tho, those looked like great meals. I've been stuck in a rut lately & these have given me some ideas! Have you ever done a recipe swap 'party' or just between a friend or 2 ??? I did that a few years ago & WOW! got some great ones. One lady was Italian heritage & the other lady grew up in Mexico. It was a lot of fun. We just each agreed to bring 3-4 copies of each recipe (like 3 of our best dishes) and we all swapped.

I finished my tasks a bit early and my baby is napping so I thought, “Why not plan next weeks dinner today instead of Sunday.” I got side tracked and decided to sit down and scroll a while, so I headed to RUclips. Sure enough here’s your video!! Right on time to keep me on track.

I say this with only love- please no using seed/ bad oils 🙆🏻‍♀️ so so bad for you and your family!
Avacado oil, olive oil, lard, bacon grease are the only ones you want to use!
I genuinely care about your and your families health! That should be the #1 thing to stop! It’s in so much food at the store too it will blow your mind ❤

This video was perfect timing for me! I really want to try a few of your recipes - I’ll try to remember to report back! They look SO GOOD! Also, your scripture verses immediately brought to mind the song from Steve Green on his children’s album “Hide ‘Em In Your Heart” and the song that echoes your verses is called Worship the Lord with Gladness. We love the entire album (volumes 1-3!) and I hope it blesses your family, too. I, too, am not naturally inclined to bake the day away and it requires some effort for me to really prepare homemade meals for my family. The season I’m in is full of young children and an endless process of decluttering my house. But I am continually blessed and edified by your videos! Thank you, Kelsey, for sharing a peek into your life to encourage us homemakers! ❤❤❤

Thank you for the song recommendations. I haven't heard them so I'm excited to listen! I also understand the day full of littles and decluttering. I'm trying to accept there will be days where I can cook and bake and the kids can play, and days where everything falls a part and I'm needed elsewhere more. You're doing great. 🥰 Let me know how the recipes go! I always want honest thoughts, and my husband isn't picky so he says everything's good lol so I'm always going off of my own thoughts.

My children loved the Hide Them in Your Heart CDs by Steve Green also.
It’s all Scripture put into children’s songs. My kids learned so many Bible verses that way…..and that was 20 years ago! Glad they are still available in a different format now.😍

    • @alisongooch3774

@@MelanieClark-ly2jl The albums are timeless! But then again, so is The Word 😍 We’ve memorized every song! I was first introduced to Steve Green’s music for children when I sang the solo in children’s choir for “As Long As I Live” and to this day I’m reminded of that wonderful moment! I love when people use their gifts to create songs to help precious little ones memorize God’s Word. We also love the Harrow family albums, Scripture Lullabies (they created the albums for children, but I firmly believe that we parents are blessed even more!), and the Getty albums for children. Nothing beats beautiful instrumental piano hymns. I’m so thankful the Lord gave us the gift of music! 💜
