The ripples on the cabinet are because the plywood is delaminating,the layers are separating. You are doing a wonderful job!
So you are snowbound, painting your bathroom with "Snowbound". Then, driving around in a blizzard you go to DQ to get Blizzards. Okay, I sense a theme here.
get you a piece of linoleum remnant that is for floors and cut it to size to put under your bathroom sink (and kitchen). get it thick enough you don't have to glue it down and it wont curl up! when we built our house it was the first thing I did while moving in, so glad I did when my neighbor had a small leak but it ruined the base of her cabinet! you can pick a design that gives a nice pop when you open the doors. I liked it so well for cleaning i put it in the bottoms of my other cabinets where my pots and pans were. much better than fighting with shelf liner and I didnt want contact paper. Oh I also put it on the very top! again easier to wipe down and with vaulted ceilings no one every sees it lol
A linoleum remnant in 2021? such a thing was possible in 1973. Sadly I don't think they make it anymore. Fitting or cutting it required heat as it was super hard and was also super heavy. The arrival of vinyl cushion floor was appreciated on many levels.
Had heavy duty linoleum put down in my kitchen. Had a piece big enough to cover the inside of my bathroom vanity, and we didn't glue it. I curled on all sides. Had to glue it down.

Hint: if you want a small piece of linoleum cheap, check out what Cole is ripping out of his house. Use tacks with large heads to nail it down.

Summer.When you are finished with your vanity.Take a brown paper bag.Rip a good size piece of it off and use it to lightly sand your vanity.Wait 48 hrs at least after you paint.You will not believe how smooth it turns out.Just lightly go over it with the paper.My Dad built my kitchen cabinets for me.They are beautiful.✌💖😊 Stay blessed.

Next time you need wood , ask Cole for some of his scrap wood. Old wood is very stable and a great way to recycle scrap wood.

While you have the electrical things happening. Put an outlet in the hallway.
I don’t know why this is not normal. But it should be.
For heaters, dehumidifiers, vacuuming. Night lights etc. it is safer than running cords through doorways and saves a trip hazard.
You could put some of the peel and stick floor tiles in the bottom of your bathroom sink vanity it covers up and will catch any stray drips plus it looks nice and cleans up well.
I often wondered if any Cornstars were Packer fans. I'll take one by marriage!!!🤣🤣 Good work on the cabinet doors. I did something similar with our kitchen cupboard with poplar from Menard's.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final project. I love home remodels/DIY/makeovers. Actually, that's how I found Coles channel. The title was remodeling my farm mansion or something. It wasn't quite what I thought but growing up in the country on a non working farm I was familiar with a good bit and it brought back great memories.
Good job...we had a kitchen floor put in -vinyl- and there was left over pieces ..it was fairly neutral so i cut pieces for inside the drawers and floor of my vanity..so easy to wipe out now..i got a strip of aluminum to screw down the front edge in the floor part - it tended to curl..and i cut a tiny half circle about the size of half a quarter in the back of the piece in the drawers so i can pull them out to clean under them easily...this may help you a bit.I know this is an older video but those things can be done any time.

You paint just like I do, half goes on what I'm painting and the other half goes on me! You'd think I would be more careful because I'm an artist, but nope. I LOVE how those cabinet doors came out. Looks great! ♥️ I love that brand of paint too. I do the cutting with a stubby handled brush & don't even waste time on tape for the most part. Sometimes I'll use a guide tool & just keep a damp cloth on hand just incase.
I don't bother with washing rollers either. I'll just wrap the whole end of roller with a bag & pitch it when the job is done. They wear out fast anyway. Oh, and those silicone pour lids for paint cans are amazing. I'm careful with em when pouring, but I save so much paint & avoid a mess.

It’s going to be dark in those cabinets-suggest you get a tap light for the part under the sink and put Marble look contact paper on the bottom of the shelf and drawer bottoms. Just my 2 cents
I was going to add a light but now they they are done it is actually not dark under there at all! So I returned the light I bought!
You should have removed that old 90 degree adapter fitting from the pipe and just used a 90 degree shutoff that has the compression fitting already on top. If the old 90 degree adapters don't come off, those metal stub pipes that stick out if the wall are usually screwed in and can be replaced.

Great and thoughtful way to surprise Jay and have a mid winter get away. I grew up not far from your family and our winters were soooooooo much like that and back then we never would imagine vacationing in the winter so I am glad times have changed!
