Thank you, you've answered a question that was stopping me from buyimg this unit, I'd like to start content creation for caribbean music but there wwas nothing about this units capability with mastering instruments
Thanx! I only have video about podcast mics and this Rode - Shure SM7b VS Rode Procaster with Rodecaster Pro II ruclips.net/video/F9o8xSpVT1U/видео.html
I noticed the loop feature doesn’t work great in the sample banks. Have you noticed that? It doesn’t do a true loop. There is a very slight pause before it plays it again which, if you were trying to do a song or something, it would really mess you up. It’s kind of annoying. I wish @rode would fix it
Beautiful user and interface. Rodecaster needs to make a 12 or 16 track version, standalone MTR w/an SD card. Add more FX, tracks for audio clips, a piano roll and instruments. This would be a big problem for Zoom, Tascam, Mackie, Akai and Roland.
Hi Agami, thank you for doing a video, very helpful! I really the layer of your video, it is very informative. I have a question for you!, I know you've use Nectar music software for the video/editing. I use the Rodecaster Pro II as well, can you tell me what's version of Nectar software to order to have Channel Configuration such as channel 7/8 Bluetooth channel from Rode CasterPro II to connect with Nectar?, very appreciated if you can help out please.
Great reviews! A year later do you prefer the Rodecaster Pro II for podcasting/music or the RME Babyface? Or something else? Also which podcast/music mic do you recommend these days?
Thank you! I didn't notice how I completely switched to RodeCaster Pro. I use it to work on podcasts, for music, and even to shoot my RUclips videos. I really don't want to sell RME, but since I don't use it at all, I'll already think about it. I use several Rode Procasters to record podcasts and very happy with them. I compared it to Podmic and Shure 7b, and I like the Procaster sound more.
@@AgamiKarma super insightful!! Thanks!! It seems like the features of the RodeCaster won you over :) Curious if you’ve had a chance to compare the SM7B + Rode Procaster + RE20. Currently in the market for a set of podcast/music mics.
@@pauldittus Yes, Electro-Voice RE20 is a dream for every podcaster 😁 But it's way more expensive and I need at least 3 of them for my work 🥲 Though I have a comparison between Shure SM7B + Rode Procaster: ruclips.net/video/F9o8xSpVT1U/видео.html

I've been looking more are the Rodecaster Pro II thanks to your reviews. One of the things I heard is that it has a little bit of latency. Have you noticed it when making podcasts or music?
Thank you so much. As you are a sound engineer ,please let me know: Can I ,as a pastor use Rode pro mic ,as hands free mic to address the congregation ;? Will such mics be free from inerfearce from other signals for that use ,or is it good only for use with video camera etc.? Akso ,can it's receiver be connected it to an amplifier without a mixer ? Is mixer essential to connect it to use as a public address system ?
Hello! Thanks for your comment! Could you please specify the name of the microphone? Is it "Rode VideoMic Pro" you are talking about? Unfortunately it has specific on-camera holder and it will be difficult to use it with standard mic stands... Unfortunately, I don't work at live events, so I didn't try any of it, bit I guess, you better need a "Podium Mic" with a gooseneck and desktop stand. It is generally used at conferences and lectures. For example, Shure MX418D/C. I found a video about it: ruclips.net/video/5AdvfOIM7RQ/видео.htmlsi=rTt9Om2EN81fwK01. Also, I found a video about different mics that you can use in church: ruclips.net/video/71EAhcoWpqA/видео.htmlsi=qAJbWlog7dYG0dhQ
Hey, so based partly on your positive review I went out and bought one of these! Very excited! I have a question, though. I’m trying to record a video from iPhone using the Rodecaster fir the audio. I’m getting audio to my phone, but just the straight vocal, without effects. Is there a trick in sending the audio over with the effects? I’m using Bluetooth, for now. Waiting for the Rode dedicated iPhone cable. Not sure if the cable will make a difference. Thanks if you can help!
Thank you very much for your comment! It's pleasant to hear that I helped someone :) Actually, I don't know the answer... Maybe you can ask the Rode support? I already asked them about working with Ableton and they replied me quite fast - rode.com/en/support/contact
@@AgamiKarma UPDATE: I bought the Rode SC15 adapter for my iPhone and the audio from the Rode works flawlessly now. (It wasn’t working over Bluetooth.) The Apple adapter / cable did not work, either, so there’s also a proprietary roadblock, too. What would be an fantastic firmware update would be to allow overdubs onto the SD card on the RODE. Then you wouldn’t even really need a laptop. I have contacted RODE about that and I got the sense they might be looking into it.
Hi agami, there’s little guitar content in regards to the Rodecaster duo. Can you tell me if I can use my mic and guitar through the Rodecaster to zoom?
Wow thank you. I want to do music recording with mic and piano and also live music on tiktok. Do I need to buy Ableton too? Or does a software come with the mixer? ❤ Be blessed!
Hi! Thanks for your comment! If you'd like to record music - yes, you need Ableton or any other DAW (for example, Reaper is free). For live streaming you need livestreaming program (for example OBS Studio).
