    So glad I'm not the only one that isn't feeling the out of the box wheels. Struggle bus! I'm in Michigan so they're not happening with our roads and sidewalks. I'm definitely gonna update mine!

      You are definitely not alone on that. My wheel and bearings change made ALL the difference. The bearings that come with the skate aren't that great either. Again, not terrrrible but they can be better. Reds and Rollerbones are good.

    Pulse wheels are great for asphalt for sure! I upgraded my panther skates because the moxi wheels that they came with just seemed “harder” even though they say they are 78 durometer, and I also upgraded my cushions and that helped a lot too!

    When i was wearing the jungle wheels, i STAYED falling. When i changed my wheels, i got do much better. I also changed my bearings. I buy bearings for each wheel set i buy. I also changed the bushings. The plate is sooooo heavy. I am gonna change the plate to either the rock plate or the crazy apollo plate.
    Change ur bushings to powerdyne universal bushings. U will be amazed

      @@TheHashtagHEROTV np. I HATED this skate at first. I bought them after my lollys. When i changed the wheels and bushings, they rolled just as free as my lollys. i got them for outside riding but they are so cute i bought blackjacks for outside instead. The one complaint i have now is THE PLATE IS SOO HEAVY. So i just got a crazy skate apollo plate to put on. I am intrigued with the 20degree kingpins. My daughter has black suede crazy skates and loves it. I wanted a more artistic plate for indoor.

Since I have no other skates to compare the plate to I kinda like the plate that comes with the Panther, feels sturdy to me haha. Hi sorry I am so late you tube has kept me from getting any updates.I have been in skating a long time I am one that will tell all you gals to get rid of your stock cushions and put in a set of the soft Magic Riedell cushions ( The Red Ones ) It will do you wonders Your body weight just doesn't have the mass to work the hard cushions that came on your skates.I always keep a set in my bag and put them on young skaters skates to get them going in the right direction.Charlie.

    Do you have any trouble doing crossovers in your Panthers? I’m wondering if loosening my truck bolts more would help with that. Despite that, I love my Panthers too. I switched from Impala and it was THE best thing I’ve ever done ❤️❤️

    • @TheHashtagHEROTV
      @TheHashtagHEROTV  4 года назад +3

      I did at first, mostly because I never did them before and had to get used to leaning into my edges. Loosening the trucks definitely helps! Just have to make sure they're not too loose otherwise the nut might fall off while you're skating (I had an entire truck fall off once lmao lesson learned). I actually just upgraded to softer cusions which also make crossovers easier. Crossovers can be really challenging at first but over time you'll get better from practice. Now they're one of my favorite things to do. ++ the drills from Marilyn Tantrums beginner crossover tutorial helped me to get better really fast. Especially the drill off-skates with the wall. 😉

    Are the Atoms as gummy as the Miami Rollerbones? Is there a huge difference between 78a and 80a? And do you have to purchase bearings in addition to wheels? Sorry, newbie here.

    • @TheHashtagHEROTV
      @TheHashtagHEROTV  3 года назад +2

      Hey there! Great inquiries. The Atoms are gummier than the Rollerbones Miami wheels. I find there to be a noticeable difference between 78a - 80a --not craaazy but noticeable. I think it depends on what you prefer while outdoor skating.
      I feel indestructible with the harder wheel on cracks and difficult sidewalks/streets especially when I first started out; they helped me to get better with transitions because stickier wheels take a little getting used to when changing directions. I'm more of an intermediate skater now (which is insane lol) so I feel less of a difference between 78a and 80a and can skate on them just the same.
      Regarding bearings, I usually buy all new bearings for each set of wheels mostly because I'm too lazy to switch them every time I switch wheels -- I just like to grab the wheels and go haha. Hope this helps!

      Hey there! Thanks for watching. Did you say your normal shoe size is a 9 and you got an 8 in roller skates but they're tight? If that's the case you may need to break them in, and if your foot is wide you may want to lace your skates using every other eyelet. It's totally natural to be afraid, the best I can say is to make sure you get some protective gear especially knee pads, wrist pads and a helmet! Protective gear definitely helps me feel more confident.

    Nice review! If I wouldnt already have the lolly's I would totally buy the panthers :)

    I was thinking about getting the beach bunny skates, but now I don't know because I heard that the trux on the beach bunnies is kind of stiff. Is the trux stiff on the panthers? And even after you loosen it, is it still relatively stiff?

    • @TheHashtagHEROTV
      @TheHashtagHEROTV  3 года назад +2

      Hey Becky, in my experience loosening the trucks helps a lot in terms of turning mobility; the tighter the action nut, the harder it is to turn and vice versa. The stiffness you're referring to might have more to do with the cushions. The cushions can be changed depending on your preference and weight. Changing the cushions definitely gave me the sensation of a 'softer' ride. I find that you can customize your ride over time with minor upgrades and testing how loose/tight you like your trucks. Hope this helps! As a side note: cushions are inexpensive and can make a big difference :)

    Hey, so I just got some Panthers. The padding on the tongue really presses on my toes in the front. Can someone maybe tell me, whether this stops After breaking in?🥲

      Hey, any update on the skates? How do you like them? Did you sell them or where they up to your standards?

    Hi. What length is your shoe strings? Mine are not long after lacing up.

      Hi Valery, thanks for the question! I don't have those particular panther laces with me at the moment but I remember they were around 90-100 inches or so when I measured them a while back. I found some info on this on the Fritzy's Skate Shop website that say you can buy them at 3 different lengths and it also mentions which lengths go with which foot size approx.:
      90" Size 3-6
      108" Size 6-9
      118" Size 10+
      I'll also say that I've bought Spark Derby laces on a few occasions and find them to be on the shorter side in terms of length (but it works for me). Typical Spark Derby sizes:
      72in-For low top skates and high tops smaller sizes 5 and under
      84in-Perfect in between for high tops, sizes 6-9
      96in-For most high top skates 6-12
      I hope this is helpful!
