Yea I want more androgynous options, I love the lollies and how comfortable they are but I want to feel badass in them lol girly things personally dont make me feel badass. iamjaleezalove wide-foot skater here. Have you tried the Sure-Grip Fame skates? I’m an 11W in women’s shoes, which is a 10 in those skates and they are fantastic. At first, I was considering the Moxi brand but then I saw that I’d have to pay extra for wide skates so, nah on that. The Fames are hella comfy and customizable.

The Beach Bunnies should be fine for you! I have wide feet and I have those. I'm not a beginner, but I'm also not an expert at skating. I have my derby skates for indoor skating, but I found the Beach Bunnies work fine for outdoor skating! They are cheap too which is great, especially for beginners. Pros: -The wheels are great for outdoor skating, slim so they don't catch a bunch of rocks, but soft so they roll over the cracks. -The boot is comfortable and easy to tighten or loosen as needed. -Cushioned on the inside so comfy for beginners. -Cute skates, get lots of compliments, and made of a vegan material if that's important to you. Cons: -The toe stop is tiny so if you need to use it for climbing up a ramp or up a hill of some kind, or to go down a hill backwards while dragging your toe stop, that can be a pain. I'm buying a larger toe stop that I use for derby just for my outdoor skates. -The wheels kind of drag no matter how loose the nut is. I'm going to replace the ball bearings to see if that helps. -I have heard from more experienced skaters that the plate is heavier than the more expensive models. I personally don't notice yet, nor do I mind at the moment because I figure it strengthens my legs and it's not like I'm doing anything crazy. To reiterate, I'm sort of upgrading them by giving them a new toe stop and new ball bearings. I might get better outdoor wheels later on too. That being said, they are good for a beginner looking for a discount and can be upgraded slightly later. Size-wise: My feet, again, are wide. They run between a 10.5 and 11 for size. So, for the Beach Bunnies, I got a size 10 (equals an 11-11.5 in shoes). Hope that makes sense!
Ginger Jessie Talks this helps so much as i’m currently trying to figure out which ones to get. I’ve never skated at ALL so this helps choose but i’m still confused about the shoe size. When you say 11-11.5 is that in men’s shoe size or women’s shoe size?
I think a “ Build a Bunny” option should be available! Reason being, with the jack and the lolly, they’re way more customizable. And I think the bunnies are adorable. I just think allowing people to choose their bunny color wheel and laces should be an option! Especially because bunny wheels aren’t sold separately. Also because on the lolly you can pick different wheels as you purchase them! Just an idea!! #BuildABunny!
I think the only problem with this is that the beach bunnies are imported i think from Cambodia. Whereas the jack and lolly are made in the US in an assembly line fashion. So they don't have as much room to customize a beach bunny
This would be so cool! If I could have, I would’ve ordered one watermelon and one pink lemonade in a set, or just had the yellow skates with green laces and wheels. They’d probably be more expensive though, as they’re imported.
The only way to "improve" - as far as I can see - would be to offer the wheels (and laces) on ALL of the skates separately. Would LOVE to get the Periwinkle Beach Bunny, but have the Watermelon wheels and laces. Also some various colors of MOXI toe stops...round, hearts, stars, more colors of the brake petals...I don't care about the shape, but trying to find ones that truly MATCH a Moxi skate is difficult, if not impossible. Would LOVE to see a green stop that matched the Watermelon Bunny's wheels and laces or a purple stop to match the Periwinkle Bunny's boot. It would complete my purple and green obsession perfectly...without having to get 2 pairs of skates and spending a ton trying to find the "right" color stop to complete the look. All of my skates have a theme and I like to keep as close to that theme as possible.
@@-cole-lxun-666-4 Yeah, usually I just dye my wheels...and sometimes laces, too. It's not a difficult process, in and of itself, but getting an exact match is still hard. Toe stops are another issue. Very few can truly be dyed as it's a different compound than the wheels. I love doing it, but it would be a lot easier if they were already made. LOL
@@toryjaeger8557 None of the skates I use are stock. I've probably got more invested in wheels, laces, stops, and cushions than I do in all of my skates themselves. Well, thanks to the two shoe builds...maybe not. LOL

I would agree. I was not a beginner. But i'm almost 55 years old and I was buying my first pair of dream roller skates. My first roller skates had metal wheels. I bought my Moxi Lollys at a roller rink in off of Whidbey Island, WA called Skagit Skate. The rink owners wife had custom ordered them and changed her mind. I bought them then and there and wore them that night. My feet weren't sore and like you said, there was no break in period. They were beautiful! I absolutely love them. I have never regretted purchasing them ever. Love love love them.

Erendira Landa-Godinez they're so amazing! They're a little stiff but I appreciate that because I'm still a beginner and I get that support I need around my ankles. I had Impalas before but they were not great at all! The jungles are definitely a good buy.
My Lollys were the best investment I’ve ever made. They are so comfortable, well made and forgiving for beginning skaters. I feel so confident in them.

I got myself a beach bunny a year or two ago and can I say the ankle support is superb from someone with not the strongest of ankles. They are cute, I am always getting compliments on them. It feels like there is a huge gap in the market for older / senior /returning / beginner skaters. I’m only now realizing, after searching endlessly that all the information directed at beginner skaters ASSUME we have skate park goals. I don’t know what is best for a beginner , senior, who wants to skate mostly outside - for easy cruising fitness and maybe change wheels to go to the rink sometimes. No info anywhere. But in the skating group… tons of seniors. We are here. I ordered the panthers before I saw this.. primarily bc it said 1. Wide feet and kind of like better but not the best. Good for ankle support. I REALLY have no idea what I am doing but I have research a ton.. but have found nothing really specific to my needs. Hoping for the best. But if your asking what we want to see, I think a lot of senior and simple fitness enthusiasts would love how to information. Thank you.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and I just wanted to say that you along with the other moxi girls have been such a big inspiration to me. I have been following you guys since 2017 and I really believe in your vision about roller skating. Back here in the Philippines roller skating is basically dead, though there are some brands that provide quad skates they aren't as good a the skates put out by your brand. If I could get a hold of a pair of moxi skates I would like to revive the sport in my home country. I'm curious if your Panthers came with the same size Marvel plate as your BBs? I love the wider wheel base of the Bunnies, too. My size 6 BBs have a 650 Marvel plate. I was surprised that my size 6 Panthers came with a 600 Marvel plate. 😔

I have experience in artistic skating and recently I have gone outdoors (due to covid ahah) but its made my love skating come back. I needed to update my boot so badly and purchased the black jack boot. I love them so much. They have the support my artistic skates gave me but the comfort of the jack boot is amazing.

I’ve been roller skating inside my house on derby skates, and keep telling my hubby I need more support in my ankles. He’s finally told me that once this pandemic is over, and he’s back at work again, he’s going to buy me a new pair of Moxi’s! Come on pandemic! Be over already! 😄
can't tell you how cool it is to see you, the founder, going over all the skates in your line, the thought behind them, the manufacturing, etc etc. and it really lets people know what they feel would be worth the upgrades or not vs blindly getting whatever. LOVE that some of the skates are american made and i know some people would absolutely pay more for that. or more for an upper that's got more longevity vs having to get new skates. this is FASCINATING. tbh i just purchased some panthers as they seemed to be really versitile and could also do skateparks. idk if i'll end up doing that but i like having the option. a good all-rounder lets you see what you're into and that to me is key. then you can upgrade to specialize. i also like that they are BLACK. because then you can just go wild with wheels (obsessed with clear ones, idk why) and laces and all that. i love leopard print though.... it feels a little weird in a skate? but it's changeable, there's options, LOVE IT. i hope they fit well. i was also obsessed with the green lolly as soon as i saw it but as a beginner on quads vs inlines.... i need to eval how i even like this style before getting more $ into it. decided to spend more than originally planned because having shoes of that pleather stuff or bad inlines... they either are hard and hurt constantly, OR the things crack and break apart. spending $60 on a disposable skate isn't very economical especially if you end up liking it. coulda just gone more $ in the beginning and ended up with something that's actually durable. was sort of tempted to do the watermelon bunnies (i kind of hate pink but the watermelon theme tickles my brain. and the green is uuuugh so beautiful.) but some people said the uppers didn't last and cracked and stuff within a month or a few months. i'd be pretty sad. and i just found the panthers on sale so it seems to me that i'd shell out an extra $20-30 for a higher longevity skate, i should just do that. PLUS, idk if i wanna be so high vis while learning 😂 my MAIN goal was skates i could dance on and do tight maneuvers and use my garage for that. so on days where it's raining and skateboarding isn't as feasible. or if it's late at night or whatever. and inlines aren't good for tight spaces. anyway THANK YOU. seeing this vid and your presentation basically made me choose your brand and stop waffling about. it's just that people kept saying this was all over social media and to me that isn't a badge of honor or mark of a good product necessarily and i had to look deeper. anyway, love your energy, enthusiasm and silliness! still watching the rest of the vid even though i already made the purchase. that says something. 😄

A friend recently started renting a hall for a small group of us to skate with her...she has successfully inspired the 10 of us who consider our selves a skate crew now, complete with skate names(- mine is Dare Dream), and she also gave me a link to the Moxi Lollys- which I have just received my first pair of(I can already tell that one pair will probably not be enough!😆). I got the Lilac. I love them! I have been dealing with harsh life elements resulting in PTS, and skating has been a true therapy for me like no other! While I am skating, I am powerful and strong and beautiful in myself, and the motion puts my brain in a very relieving and relaxed place. I am so happy to have found Moxi, Thank you!

i've had my current skates (blue streaks on crazy venus plates) for years and years and the boots are just DONE. 5 seasons of derby and countless hours of rec skating and they can't take it anymore! now that i'm a retired derby skater i'm really thinking of springing for some moxies. might buy some soon so i can get back to outdoor skating during this quarantine...

Just got my Lolly‘s Friday. I Got the Lolly so my roller derby skates wouldn’t get ruined by trail skating. I like a bigger toe stop so I did replace the stock one for the gumball superball. I love how these skates feel. I wear Antik AR1’s for roller derby so the Lolly is just as supportive on my ankles. I have the Bont Athena plate on my Antik’s but don’t mind the powerdine plate on the Lolly. It’s super light compared to my derby skate. I hope to go for a long skate tomorrow to really test the Lolly out. I do love the comfort so far and I love how secure my heels feel without the pinch and blister causing rub some skates have. I skated for years as a kid and quit for about 20 years before derby came into my life. I’m still kind of a novice skater right now but I hope the Lolly helps me out. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to the Jack boot.

The beach bunnies are amazing for so many things! I used them to learn ramps and grind rails and theyre so supportive! I'm rough on my skates and they havent fallen apart or anything. A bit scuffed but i never clean them😂 they're kind of my beaters now since i got a pair of lollys💕 although im sort of wishing i would've just splurged for the jacks now because i want to be confident and stable jumping stairs and doing miller flips 😅. Either way i love both of my moxi skates💖💖💖

I wish you offered Lollys with the Marvel plate! I know that the Panther is a fine substitute, but I love the colors of the Lolly but would want a more durable plate, especially if I'm paying $300+. Moxi rules, keep making great products!
They do offer Lollys with metal plates! When you customize a Lolly, you can get whatever Powerdyne plate you want. 2 nylon (one is reinforced with fiberglass) and 2 metal.
Darn it! Wished I saw this video before buying the beach bunnies. I just got them a few days ago. I feel like they need adjusting because my ride was a bit rougher than expected. But in all fairness I should give it some more time since it’s been years since I’ve actually skated and need to reacquaint myself. -The toe stop is tiny so if you need to use it for climbing up a ramp or up a hill of some kind, or to go down a hill backwards while dragging your toe stop, that can be a pain. I'm buying a larger toe stop that I use for derby just for my outdoor skates.
-The wheels kind of drag no matter how loose the nut is. I'm going to replace the ball bearings to see if that helps.
-I have heard from more experienced skaters that the plate is heavier than the more expensive models. I personally don't notice yet, nor do I mind at the moment because I figure it strengthens my legs and it's not like I'm doing anything crazy.
To reiterate, I'm sort of upgrading them by giving them a new toe stop and new ball bearings. I might get better outdoor wheels later on too. That being said, they are good for a beginner looking for a discount and can be upgraded slightly later.
Size-wise: My feet, again, are wide. They run between a 10.5 and 11 for size. So, for the Beach Bunnies, I got a size 10 (equals an 11-11.5 in shoes). Hope that makes sense!
Ginger Jessie Talks this helps so much as i’m currently trying to figure out which ones to get. I’ve never skated at ALL so this helps choose but i’m still confused about the shoe size. When you say 11-11.5 is that in men’s shoe size or women’s shoe size?
I think a “ Build a Bunny” option should be available! Reason being, with the jack and the lolly, they’re way more customizable. And I think the bunnies are adorable. I just think allowing people to choose their bunny color wheel and laces should be an option! Especially because bunny wheels aren’t sold separately. Also because on the lolly you can pick different wheels as you purchase them! Just an idea!! #BuildABunny!

I think the only problem with this is that the beach bunnies are imported i think from Cambodia. Whereas the jack and lolly are made in the US in an assembly line fashion. So they don't have as much room to customize a beach bunny
This would be so cool! If I could have, I would’ve ordered one watermelon and one pink lemonade in a set, or just had the yellow skates with green laces and wheels. They’d probably be more expensive though, as they’re imported.

The only way to "improve" - as far as I can see - would be to offer the wheels (and laces) on ALL of the skates separately. Would LOVE to get the Periwinkle Beach Bunny, but have the Watermelon wheels and laces. Also some various colors of MOXI toe stops...round, hearts, stars, more colors of the brake petals...I don't care about the shape, but trying to find ones that truly MATCH a Moxi skate is difficult, if not impossible. Would LOVE to see a green stop that matched the Watermelon Bunny's wheels and laces or a purple stop to match the Periwinkle Bunny's boot. It would complete my purple and green obsession perfectly...without having to get 2 pairs of skates and spending a ton trying to find the "right" color stop to complete the look. All of my skates have a theme and I like to keep as close to that theme as possible.

@@-cole-lxun-666-4 Yeah, usually I just dye my wheels...and sometimes laces, too. It's not a difficult process, in and of itself, but getting an exact match is still hard. Toe stops are another issue. Very few can truly be dyed as it's a different compound than the wheels. I love doing it, but it would be a lot easier if they were already made. LOL

I would agree. I was not a beginner. But i'm almost 55 years old and I was buying my first pair of dream roller skates. My first roller skates had metal wheels.
I bought my Moxi Lollys at a roller rink in off of Whidbey Island, WA called Skagit Skate. The rink owners wife had custom ordered them and changed her mind. I bought them then and there and wore them that night. My feet weren't sore and like you said, there was no break in period. They were beautiful! I absolutely love them. I have never regretted purchasing them ever. Love love love them.

Erendira Landa-Godinez they're so amazing! They're a little stiff but I appreciate that because I'm still a beginner and I get that support I need around my ankles. I had Impalas before but they were not great at all! The jungles are definitely a good buy.

Trying a different set of wheels will also completely change the experience and feel of the glide. Try Fundae ones for an outdoor faster experience or trick wheels for a smooth agile feel indoors.

I got myself a beach bunny a year or two ago and can I say the ankle support is superb from someone with not the strongest of ankles. They are cute, I am always getting compliments on them. I am dishing 70's vibes every time I skate down the street, I am all around the happiest with the Moxi brand and definitely will be getting myself a lolly once I save up! thank you Estrogen!

It feels like there is a huge gap in the market for older / senior /returning / beginner skaters. I’m only now realizing, after searching endlessly that all the information directed at beginner skaters ASSUME we have skate park goals. I don’t know what is best for a beginner , senior, who wants to skate mostly outside - for easy cruising fitness and maybe change wheels to go to the rink sometimes. No info anywhere. But in the skating group… tons of seniors. We are here. I ordered the panthers before I saw this.. primarily bc it said 1. Wide feet and kind of like better but not the best. Good for ankle support. I REALLY have no idea what I am doing but I have research a ton.. but have found nothing really specific to my needs. Hoping for the best. But if your asking what we want to see, I think a lot of senior and simple fitness enthusiasts would love how to information. Thank you.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and I just wanted to say that you along with the other moxi girls have been such a big inspiration to me. I have been following you guys since 2017 and I really believe in your vision about roller skating. Back here in the Philippines roller skating is basically dead, though there are some brands that provide quad skates they aren't as good a the skates put out by your brand. If I could get a hold of a pair of moxi skates I would like to revive the sport in my home country. can't tell you how cool it is to see you, the founder, going over all the skates in your line, the thought behind them, the manufacturing, etc etc. and it really lets people know what they feel would be worth the upgrades or not vs blindly getting whatever. LOVE that some of the skates are american made and i know some people would absolutely pay more for that. or more for an upper that's got more longevity vs having to get new skates. this is FASCINATING.
tbh i just purchased some panthers as they seemed to be really versitile and could also do skateparks. idk if i'll end up doing that but i like having the option. a good all-rounder lets you see what you're into and that to me is key. then you can upgrade to specialize. i also like that they are BLACK. because then you can just go wild with wheels (obsessed with clear ones, idk why) and laces and all that. i love leopard print though.... it feels a little weird in a skate? but it's changeable, there's options, LOVE IT. i hope they fit well.
i was also obsessed with the green lolly as soon as i saw it but as a beginner on quads vs inlines.... i need to eval how i even like this style before getting more $ into it. decided to spend more than originally planned because having shoes of that pleather stuff or bad inlines... they either are hard and hurt constantly, OR the things crack and break apart. spending $60 on a disposable skate isn't very economical especially if you end up liking it. coulda just gone more $ in the beginning and ended up with something that's actually durable. was sort of tempted to do the watermelon bunnies (i kind of hate pink but the watermelon theme tickles my brain. and the green is uuuugh so beautiful.)
but some people said the uppers didn't last and cracked and stuff within a month or a few months. i'd be pretty sad. and i just found the panthers on sale so it seems to me that i'd shell out an extra $20-30 for a higher longevity skate, i should just do that. PLUS, idk if i wanna be so high vis while learning 😂
my MAIN goal was skates i could dance on and do tight maneuvers and use my garage for that. so on days where it's raining and skateboarding isn't as feasible. or if it's late at night or whatever. and inlines aren't good for tight spaces.
anyway THANK YOU. seeing this vid and your presentation basically made me choose your brand and stop waffling about. it's just that people kept saying this was all over social media and to me that isn't a badge of honor or mark of a good product necessarily and i had to look deeper. anyway, love your energy, enthusiasm and silliness! still watching the rest of the vid even though i already made the purchase. that says something. 😄

A friend recently started renting a hall for a small group of us to skate with her...she has successfully inspired the 10 of us who consider our selves a skate crew now, complete with skate names(- mine is Dare Dream), and she also gave me a link to the Moxi Lollys- which I have just received my first pair of(I can already tell that one pair will probably not be enough!😆). I got the Lilac. I love them! I have been dealing with harsh life elements resulting in PTS, and skating has been a true therapy for me like no other! While I am skating, I am powerful and strong and beautiful in myself, and the motion puts my brain in a very relieving and relaxed place. I am so happy to have found Moxi, Thank you!

Just got my Lolly‘s Friday. I Got the Lolly so my roller derby skates wouldn’t get ruined by trail skating. I like a bigger toe stop so I did replace the stock one for the gumball superball. I love how these skates feel. I wear Antik AR1’s for roller derby so the Lolly is just as supportive on my ankles. I have the Bont Athena plate on my Antik’s but don’t mind the powerdine plate on the Lolly. It’s super light compared to my derby skate. I hope to go for a long skate tomorrow to really test the Lolly out. I do love the comfort so far and I love how secure my heels feel without the pinch and blister causing rub some skates have. I skated for years as a kid and quit for about 20 years before derby came into my life. I’m still kind of a novice skater right now but I hope the Lolly helps me out. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to the Jack boot.

The beach bunnies are amazing for so many things! I used them to learn ramps and grind rails and theyre so supportive! I'm rough on my skates and they havent fallen apart or anything. Estrogen!! On May 29,2021 (SAT) at 4:30pm I waited 6 months I finally got my Moxi Jack Boots!!! Oh.. my GOD!!! Bless you!!! I LOVE them!!! My summer fun will be going to the beach and Roller skating!!!! The best part is I got to take my amazing student, son, and husband on this fabulous Moxi adventure. I hope to one day bump into you estrogen ...I would love for you to sign my skates. 🐒❤️🙌🏻luckily one of the lovely ladies working at Pigeon’s shop autographed my box...hahahaha she truly was a lovely individual!
Liza frank skates would be awesome and gorgeous! Or Disney skates, my favorite is tinkerbell. I love the 70s fashion but I was born in 85 so 80s colors and patterns would be fun!

please please please bring out a vegan lolly range!!! i’m not a fan of the vegan jacks nor can i really afford them. the lollys are such a dream and i would love to get a pair but i just really can’t bring myself to wear suede. you’d be making so many people happy if you make vegan lollys!!

This is why i love Estrojen. She is honest, she tells you the truth. I am going to order the moxi panthers. I like colours but black just goes with everything. Could swap the leashes, i am not a big animal print lover but, they look fun! Also i need ankle support, the lolly scares me and i can't afford them right now. I wish you offered Lollys with the Marvel plate! I know that the Panther is a fine substitute, but I love the colors of the Lolly but would want a more durable plate, especially if I'm paying $300+.

They do offer Lollys with metal plates! When you customize a Lolly, you can get whatever Powerdyne plate you want. 2 nylon (one is reinforced with fiberglass) and 2 metal.

Darn it! Wished I saw this video before buying the beach bunnies. I just got them a few days ago. I feel like they need adjusting because my ride was a bit rougher than expected. But in all fairness I should give it some more time since it’s been years since I’ve actually skated and need to reacquaint myself.
