Believe it or not, just their basic cheap ones! They are thin enough to not interfere with the toe box roominess, if you take out the factory insoles first. 😀👣

You spoke of the specific gravity of the materials , and then tapped them on the table . All of the viewers could hear the sound ! Very good method ! That's a very good applicable demonstration of material density . At about time 15:35 onward you spoke of tightening the screws . To tighten screws and know how tight they are ....... If it's your interest , you can make all your screws equal tightness ! No Problem ! ; by using a tool called a "Torque Wrench" . I think you would really like it ! I don't want to confuse you , I like you , and have watched your video a few times now , it's really good ! A torque wrench is a really a neet tool to use ! This tool reads in "Inch Pounds" or "Foot Pounds" . It tells you exactly how tight things are .

I've watched this video a few times and I wanted to come back to say that this info is invaluable! I bought the beach bunnies and yes, they are very stiff! And the insoles are so, so thin! I swapped out the cushions and insoles and I'm loving life! Thanks Evelynn :)

@@melsunshine1488 I replaced the cushions with a set of powerdyne magic cushions in medium. If you're a heavier or lighter skater you would want a different hardness. And I bought the same insoles as Evelynn, Dr Scholl's active.

@@Grumpycatchick Hi! I had ordered the cushion set from a derby shop online. They emailed back and said they didn't have the kits, but could sell the parts to me separately. I told them which skates I had had and they confirmed the right ones were ordered. So I suggest finding an online store and emailing or calling. There are some knowledgeable and helpful people out there!

if you can’t get reactor magic cushions.... the Suregrip cushions will work you just need to buy 4 cones and 4 barrels in whichever hardness you want, You can also mix it up and use for example a medium barrel and soft cone on your trucks. Hope this helps :) Over here in Australia it’s really hard to get the magic cushions as there has been no stock due to covid.
yess!! i love this advice! I definitely tried combining both the red and orange cushions to see if that worked for me! I ended up going with all medium but definitely recommend you try mixing as well if you are having a hard time finding the perfect stiffness!!

So useful and relatable! I have a pair of beach bunnies and a pair of impalas. I couldn’t believe how much easier it was to turn on the impalas even though the ride wasn’t NEARLY as smooth as the beach bunnies. I went to adjust my trucks even looser on the beach bunnies but that made them almost fall off and there was no more than a minor improvement... I just realized it’s the cushions!
What was the difference between your wheels on both skates? I have impalas, I’m curious about the smoothness of the moxis

The power dyne universal set barrel is shorter than the stock barrel that comes on the Panther, by at least 2mm. I 'stacked' the old retainer and the new retainer to achieve the same height, otherwise the truck won't land 'flat' on the upper barrel, which is probably not a great idea.
Love this kit. With everyone skating, cushions are so hard to find nowadays and priced at a premium. I did same thing bought new ones that kinda sorta fit but were way to soft for my weight. Bad combo. Then I bought Dime bag board cushions because they "looked" like they would work. Nope. Finally found this kit that works for Marvel plate. Phew!
I used dime bag too.. big mistake lol. But my son upgraded his board thx to good Ole mom

I was wondering why the 'Thrust Bearing' wasn't brought up :o I was told that 'When changing the cushions on a PowerDyne Marvel plate(Panthers and Beach Bunnies) that the geometry is not correct and the truck drops to an incorrect angle. To fix this, stack a thrust bearing under the truck assembly to lift it back up to the correct height.' According to the Dept of Skate website..

My question? Newly back to skating after a lot time flat footed, noticing that even with looser trucks my knee is taking the brunt of the force to move onto my edges. Should I trade out my cushions? Will that take the pressure off my knee?
I have been skating on my panthers for about 3 weeks now. I had loosened my trucks as much as I could safely but was still struggling with turning easily when using my body weight (I am only 5'1 and 90lbs). Time for some less firm cushions!

@@laura-yd3fv My Panthers arrived on Thursday, but unfortunately size 8 didn't fit. 😭😭😭 EVERYONE said size down, check the size chart.....I wear size 9 and the 8 is too small. I ordered from Fritzy's in San Diego. When I called them, they had a size 9 and 10 in stock. By the time I went online to re-order, the 9 was gone. As, of today the size 2 and 10 are still available, but still no 9.😭😭😭
Returning the 8 on Tuesday.
Keep checking sites that are out of stock, you may luck out better than me. Good luck to you.

I have stock beach bunnies. And I’m totally fine indoor skating I don’t even really stick. But boy do I stick outside. Feels like I can’t even get my skates to move. Everything is loosened/tightened appropriately, maybe I’m just weirdo cuz aren’t they supposed to be better outside with the gummy wheel?

You got sensitive knees and own some Beach Bunny, Panthers, or Jungle skates? This video will give you that solution!
If you find yourself really enjoying the skate park, smaller wheels might bring back the kingpin scraping, don’t worry, once you add a slide block this will solve your issue at the skate park. If you do not see yourself skating at parks this solution will work WONDERS for your distance skating!😍

What stiffness are the stock beach bunny cushions?
Additionally, the reactor kit comes with 4 universal and 4 step top. Will having all 8 universal cushions really help with the grinding of the king pins on the pavement if it doesn't affect the distance of the truck in relation to the boot if we do end up using the reactor kit? I'm asking because the universal magic cushion is 3mm shorter than the stock barrel beach bunny cushion.
As long as you do not over tighten the cushion, the universal magic cushions will help with the kingpin from hanging so low, another alternate is simply shaving down the kingpin if it's truly still bothering you, as long as your nut can securely lock onto the kingpin you should be okay! :)
My Lolly skates that are well broken in KILL ME (or at least my feet) in the toe box area. I'd LOVE 💕 to hear about someone who has wide feet ordering the custom wider last because I'm looking to invest in some Jack Boots!! PLEASE??!?
There are videos on how to lace your skates differently depending on your needs. I had problems with both my Lolly's and my Beach Bunny's but once I started lacing them differently it made a huge difference.
have you tried stuffing a tennis or baseball in the toe box and lacing the laces really tight when you are not skating in them? This will help break those lolly skates in!
@@EvelynIvyy That's a good idea! I always had to use a hair dryer and a screwdriver handle to push our the pinky toe area on my leather derby skates... Any idea if that would that work on the suede of the Lollys?

Got my new cushions by power dyne "Magic Cushions". I can tell a world of difference, much smoother just rolling around in the house. Hopefully my feet won't hurt as much after 20 minutes.

Went to the site and sadly these kits are sold out :( when will they be in stock again? A skate shop sold me reactors, telling me they were the most compatible with the beach bunny’s and they didn’t work :/ I was so bummed. I hope to get my hands on a kit soon!
I’m having some pain around the top of my feet/toes after a little while on a mini-ramp. My beach bunnies were a little tight when I got them but seemed to break in. Maybe I’m lacing them too tight? Maybe I’ll try new cushions? I’m also still getting comfortable on the mini-ramp so maybe I’m also just super tense still? 🤷♀️
I also have pain at the top of my feet too. Idk what it is I have laced them loose I think maybe changing the insole. I haven’t changed mine yet but maybe give that a try.

You can use the beach bunny wheel but I wouldn’t recommend it, the beach bunny wheel does not have a hub and adding weight can sometimes add pressure to the bearings causing a squeaking sound if you hear that, it’s not you it’s the wheels, they are great to get you going but if you are looking for a dependable hybrid wheel, the fundae is my most favorite especially because of the convenience!(:

I bought Beach Bunny skates and changed the cushions to Magic Cushion Mediums. I tried to use them with my 65mm Atom Pulse wheels and got wheel burn. Suuuuper disappointing. Ended up having to put the stock cushions back on so I could use the 65mm wheels. Also, bought a whole new pair of skates (different brand) so I can use my 65 mm wheels & don't have to compromise on maneuverability.
I am so sorry to ask, but I am new to skating, what is wheel burn?
@@charliesessler2650 in my case, the softness of the medium bushings caused the top of the plate and/or the bolts (which weren't shaved down when I got the skates - whole other story) to touch the wheels as I'm skating. This contact/friction rubs (burn) the surface of the wheels, wearing down the rubber on the wheels.

I have this exact same problem. Using atom pulse wheels on my bunnies with the magic cushions and I cant ride anymore. So I think the retainers might be useful in this situation also?

Are cushions/bearings good for those who had wide feet? I have the rainbow riders and my skates have the factory default tightness to them. I’m just wondering if I should invest in some cushions to take the away the pain in my shins.
Have you tried loosening the trucks? That usually helps.
Have some fun with different truck settings first, that alone can make a huge difference :) Also, maybe try special insoles? Not sure about that one though, never tried that myself
I think one of the cushions went on not quite right. Some of these cushions have a bevel in the hole. I think these are designed to sit on your kingpin which has a slight peak in the metal. Just my understanding...

Yes! It might be your wheels, the wheels on the beach bunnies don’t have a hub core if you upgrade to outdoor wheels or one of my favorites wheels the Fundaes! That can solve the issue! Then you can even use the bearings from the beach bunnies on your new wheels!(:

My cushions squeak. Oh my goodness, you could hear me coming from a mile away! Lol! I put a tiny swath of bearing lube between the cushions and the retainers/trucks. Fixed! 🙌🏽
I want to purchase this kit but the shipping to Canada will make my total cost over $50.00...Are the regular Powerdyne cushions only an issue for the skate park, or will it affect skating on a trail with different heights, etc.?
How can I get rid of the kingpin grinding in the park? My setup is the panthers, medium powerdyne cushions and Fundae wheels ⚡️
You could add washers to the bottom of your kingpin to lower your trucks, or you can shave down your kingpin.
Soft cushions r good for children. Medium will do most adults, hard will do people with a harder push off or who r heavier .
Impala skaters!!! ur insole will flatten, u can either make some plush ones or get a new pair, cuz those Impala insoles will flatten! ntm moxi skaters pls get a plushier insole to add in with the original trust me I will need it!

@@reptilesxo2192 what kind of skates do u have? You may need the red, the orange is between the two. Medium. You may also need insoles...all the moxis need them. They're just a few bucks on Amazon.

Hello, i cannot find the kit in France on internet. I only find the cushions by themselves. YESS!!! the red ones can be too soft for most of us! The standard stock lolly’s come with the orange ones and they happen to be my favorite too!(:
Why do we keep the top retainer but not the other one? Why do we need a new retainer for that ons and not the top? And even though the Bunny’s reatainer is smaller there is no problem with those being different sizes? (The retainers)
The default cushions that come with the skates are one barrel and a cone cushion on top
Since a conical cushion has a smaller top radius than its bottom radius the retainer needs to be smaller than the barrel cushion retainer
She uses 2 barrel cushions instead of 1 barrel cushion and 1 conical cushion
Asking because the replacement kits are sold out right now: isn't the retainer that's being replaced for a dome shape cushion? And if so, could you just buy a set of both the universals and the reactors with the stock retainers?

I heard a few times here and there, is it true that if you're a heavier skater (whatever heavy means, that too - I wonder) you can't have soft cushions? I'm not a kid on skates, but I'm not 200 pounds either... Can I have softer cushions or...? Ty for anyone that will help!
You could definitely try them! It really just depends on how you want your skates to feel!

Look I bought my lollies like three years ago but never used them and like a week ago I’m using them and I’m super beginner and I want to know how to take care of them like how to change the wheels (how to know when to change them) how to change the cushions and why are there for how to change the toe stopper and basic thing to know for my lollies 🤩
This is a fun video to do!! One thing for sure I want to mention is buy Scotch Guard! The actually branded bottle and spray it all over your lolly skates. This can help repel water, dirty, and help the color have a longer life😍

I purchased the orange powerdyne magic reactor cushions because every forum I read I found that the powerdyne magic universal didn't fit and the powerdyne magic reactor did. I won't be going to the skatepark tho. Are the orange reactors a good fit? Can't send them back anymore and don't wanna waste my money either.
Honestly, if you like skating paths like beaches or bike paths invest in a gummy outdoor wheel and you can avoid this completely. Usually if you have the smaller wheel and you go to the skate park where they have banks, that’s when you’ll run into this scraping issue(:

@@Lus_is_a_swiftie hi Brenda! If you listen to the story, I started with the magic reactor cushions and they are shorter than the original so the king pin will scrape. If it scrapes, it’s not the end of the world, they will naturally shave down and you’ll be okay. Just know with those you’ll get that outcome. The universal magic cushions in Orange are my favorite stiffness (that works for me) I recommend those for the beach bunny with the correct retainers (:

I'm confused. Changed cushions won't change the distance between the kingpin and the ground, right? How does changing cushions prevent the kingpin from clipping on ramps/coping etc? Am I missing something?
Cusions act as the shock absorbers in the skate set up. If you take out your cushions and give em a squeeze, you should feel some give. And based on your preference, weight, or how you'd prefer you skate to respond to you, you choose which cushions to replace and where. I hope this helps a bit!
@@sarahb-vq5rp Thanks, but yes I understand what cushions do. My original question was asking why in the video she inferred that she stopped clipping the ground when she changed cushions. My girlfriend has panthers and is running into the issue of the kingpin hitting the ground. However, after watching this video again I am realizing that the height of the cushion does, in fact, change the distance between the kingpin and the ground.
@@TheBuefurd the intention of the video was more for comfort and solving the discomfort of hard cushions! What really solved the scraping issue was when I finally adding slide blocks! What kind of skating is your partner doing? If you see her liking outdoor, invest in a big gummy wheel! If she like the skate park, the smaller the wheel the same outcome, because like you said this won’t change the size of the king pin. The reactor cushions are shorter than the universal cushions when tightening the kingpin a shorter cushion the kingpin just sticks out more. I hope this helps!! My previous setup before upgrading to the Jack (I found myself really liking the skate park) was beach bunnies with cib sliders and fundae wheels and they were great for me!(:
@@EvelynIvyy Thanks for the reply. She has panthers with fundae wheels because she likes to skate both around the neighborhood and at the skatepark, but she was scraping her kingpin at the skatepark at the peaks of banks and other obstacles.
@@TheBuefurd once she feels confident for some slide blocks at the skate park that should help! The cushions might help if she feel any strain on the knees during the distance skate around the neighborhood!(:

Did you put in a washer when you added the reactor cushions??
Now that you asked.....here I go........
last season I’m at the skate park and this girl shows up with some pink Lollies and she’s able to grind and slide. I said oh my goodness I have been trying to find a way to put my slide blocks on my Moxie‘s and also have my trucks long enough so I can grind I can’t figure it out where did you get your set up her reply was I don’t know what my set up is I bought the skates like this. For 12 months I’ve been trying to find the right person to tell me how can I use my Moxie Lolly’s boot on the right plate with the right trucks so that I can grind and slide?
Please help me! I live in a small mountain town and our skate park doesn’t have a whole bunch of months of it being clear I really need to know the answer and get this fixed quick if not I’m determined to learn how to grind oh my king pins. 😂
if I understaood this correctly, you already have slide blocks or are you looking to purchase and dont know which? What kind of skates do you have now? What size are the plates on them? :)
Oh thank you for replying ! I have slide blocks that fit on my Moxi Lolly’s. I bought wider trucks but they don’t fit with the original plate that came with my Lolly’s. I am just trying to use my Lolly boots with whatever plate works
With wider trucks and can fit my slide blocks
Oh yeah! Plate is a size 5. I have size 7 Lolly’s
