I own a 3rd gen, I’m so torn to either frankenstein the motor with performance k20/k24 parts that fit and have a fast suv, but I’m now thinking to go the lifted and “can go anywhere” route. They look so good lifted and the motor really wouldn’t need much to handle the extra lugging
I recently watched your video and definitely like the video on the third gen CRV. It looks like you guys are here in Arizona. I would love to meet up with the gentleman who owns the third GEN to see if his friend that did the lift for him is interested in doing another one for me.
Im waiting for a set of Rally Shocks to arrive from Flatout Suspension. The wait is about 6 weeks from what im told. They are hand made. It will replace the lift spacers on the struts and have roughly 9 inches of shock travel. That should smooth out the ride and help with the sag. Since this video I've added a 120 pound JL Audio 12 inch sub and box and a 100 pound 100 AmpHour lead acid battery to help out with the current draw of the amps and Ham Radio equipment in the car. Her butt sags right now but aoon it will perk up ...just waiting...
By any chance could you ask him about the led turn signals used in his CRV. I have bought a lot of those from amazon and all of them have hyper flashing issues. They flash very fast due to reduces resistance of the led bulbs.
You need to wire in load resistors if the bulb doesn’t have them implemented. Regardless of the bulb, you will get hyper flash if load resistors aren’t installed separately. They make plug n play kits though so you wouldn’t need to do any real wiring work unless you bought the cheapest load resistors without connectors.
I have a 3rd gen and I am trying to find info on increasing rear suspension to be able to carry a 450 lb motorcycle on a hitch carrier. Is that possible or is that just too much weight hanging on the back of a CRV? If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I know I can tow via trailer but would like to have it on a motorcycle hitch carrier.
The tires are 245 75 16 Falken Wild Peak mounted on Vision Manx 16" x 7 inch. The wheels have the car a wider stance and it handles really nice with the larger tires on it on and off road.
What fan aftermarket did you put? And how did you put it? 😅 planning to put the after market fan like yours to my CRV GEN 3 2.0 Nice two way radio setup you got there. 73 -DW1YFQ

Stock ground clearance on a 2nd Gen is amazing. The 3rd and 4th Gen are noticeable lower. Idk why Honda did that.

How is the mpg with the lift
The lift does hurt the mpg a bit I'm sure but the bigger tires really make a difference.
I get 16mpg on a 3" lift with 245 70 17s
I get 23MPG Mixed
I get about 19MPG on the highway with the lift.
Awesome. Was this 2.0L ?
Thanks and It's a 2.4L
U running stick motor, they only have 180 hp,, ? Right..cant seeing it going to many place ..? Can u add hp..?
Stock. In low gear with traction control off it climbs pretty good. Not a lot of articulation but it will go up a decent grade hill off road.
