I am most Impressed with your shop. Lots of basic tools that are needed to do a swap start to finish and the talent to work those tools. I also get the feeling your prices are within the average Joes pocket with reliable craftsmanship. I will look forward to watching more videos.
I miss my 79 Z28, t-top Camaro (468cid/ th400), 9.90's in the quarter...!!! And my 72 SS(350cid/ m21 4-speed) corner carver... But due to my 22+ year long heroin addiction, they both 'went away', but I'm now 69+ months sober and am absolutely loving sober life...! Hopefully soon I'll be able to get em back...!!! Thanks, keep up your awesomeness and don't forget to compliment someone today...
That's a very long time to ride those orange capped rockets. I'm glad you made it back to earth my dude. I'm also a former iv user. My thing was speed and opiates, but I was always terrified of H. Suboxone makes it possible for me to have a normal life these days 😊
I really hope that 🙏 you are still going strong, my story is similar to yours and it's unfortunate what we give up when we are not ourselves..good luck my friend 😊
Awesome work man. Happy I came across this video; I've got a 77 Camaro project that I'll be dropping a 6.2 into and was curious about the TR6060 fitment. Trying to find a tr6060 has been a pain but I won't give up yet hahaha. Definitely took some notes.
I've been subscribed to your channel for a while but this is the first time that im commenting and just wanted to say that, You are good, you obviously know your stuff but it's also the attention to details that makes the difference and your attention to big and small things is what in my opinion makes the difference, keep up the great work my friend and I'll keep watching 👀. Thanks.
Some awesome work you do there. I am doing a 70 Camaro LSX swap, building a LS7 wet sump basically. I see you did the drive by cable and was wondering your thoughts about drive by wire vs drive by cable. I like the way you rotated the throttle body, looks like it would be better for cable routing too, even if you didn't do the cruise control. Keep up the good work, love your channel.
Man I just found this video, and you answered so many questions that I had about my LS3/TR6060 swap in my 80 Tran Am. I’ve been scratching the internet for years trying to figure how to come up with a reasonably priced solution for the drive shaft. If you could post a link to the adapter you used I’d sure appreciate it. Also did you have to do anything to make the rear of the Ford drive shaft fit the 10 bolt? Thanks again, you got an easy sub from me, I’d like this video a million times if I could!
Found a TR6060 out of a 2011 V6 Camaro at the junkyard today and im wondering if I could use it behind my 2003 5.3L? If so im assuming I'd just order a clutch kit for an LS1?
So basically my dreams of doing this with a standard shift in my ONE OWNER 1979 Z28 isn’t going to happen with my less than good knowledge of how to make this sh!t happen… Dude!!! How much do you charge to convert one?
Very nice swap! how did you end up securing the shifter? Did you use the weird factory 2 prong things that poke out the back of it? Im at that stage with my Gbody swap.
the 2 prongs ended up on top of the floor, and we didnt have the O.E. isolator bushing so i ended up making my own with a thick rubber isolator with molded studs.
@@HsPerformanceWi oh wow! That’s super creative man, I applaud you. I wonder how you got in touch with Fabbot because they never answer they’re phone 🙃

No opposition to drive by wire, just the ecm I was provided. Drivability tuning with larger cams is actually a little easier with drive by wire
This is fantastic, the decisions made

Thanks man!
Nice work

keepin it real
Old school hot roddin! Nice work sir! You answered so many questions I have about my project. You went with an LS3 clutch, but what slave did you use?
Did you not rebuild the engine
nope
Hey, would you be interested on doing an ls swap on a 78 tram sam ?
Could anyone find me a link to that intake manifold?
Holy smokes man! Great job!! What time frame did it take from start to finish?
swaps usually take me 4-6 weeks with waiting for for parts. sometimes you don't know what you need until you get to a certain point of the build.
I couldn’t see in the video (my connection kept lagging) but is that intake fitting under the stock hood or do you have a cowl induction?
stock hood
I love 2nd gen camaros…..all of em

v6 trans will not bolt to a v8
Will a tr6060 fit on a 4.8? I noticed in another comment you said to use a ls3 flywheel and clutch. Would all of that work for my 4.8?
yes same configuration as used here
Okay just wanted to check, thank you I appreciate it.

How did you hook up speedometer from cable to non cable transmission?
Also very nice swap!

You didn’t have to clearance the trans tunnel (with a hammer) to clear the trans?
had to cut quite a bit over the top of the trans and rebuild the hump
Nice swap! 🔥 what drive shaft did you use? And where did you get that adapter piece on the back of the trans that connects to the drive shaft? 👀
shaft is 2004 explorer 4x4 rear. adapter is fabbot www.fabbotfab.com/products/tr6060-output-flange-adapter?variant=43829186855158

Hi I did ls swap tr6060 on my 70 camaro .I have noticed that my shifter is to further cuz I use mgw shifter.so like to know what you guys use for your 2nd gen?
stock 6 cylinder camaro tr6060 shifter cut down and re-welded to fit
Dent the header tube make it work come on it don't effect horse pressure you tube proved that long time ago
Does the transmission have to be in a certain gear vefore mounting the shifter and assembling? Confused how to tell wich gear is correct.
there's no gates in the shifter itself so it doesn't matter what gear the trans is in
What oil pan did you run
amzn.to/4biBvGg
So how did you put the console back in after moving the shifter back so far? Or did you remedy that by cutting and shortening the shift linkage?
the owner of the car put 5th gen camaro console and seats in it, shifter lined up perfectly for that
What flywheel did you use? I have a gen4 5.3 and tr6060 from a newer camaro and read that I would need to run a special flywheel. Great video
