It’s awesome to see more up to date videos on 2nd gen F bodies! I’m working on a 1970 Firebird restomod. Started the project in 2020 as a simple engine rebuild but, this turned into me taking the whole car apart and starting from scratch with new suspension, brakes, partial interior, and of course… the LS and 4L60 swap 🤣
Can’t wait to finish and get it on the road. I’ve had the car for nearly 30 years and it hasn’t been driven since 2003.
That LS looks great in the 73 Firebird Formula!
Great Video Andrew. I really enjoyed spending the time with you yesterday. Oh yeah my stall was the reason for the long 1st gear. I had it made to include street manners. But when I stomp on it, the TC will flash on demand. Great Video!
Man I had a awesome time! Keep up the great work! Solid build!
What wheels are on your camaro?

Very nice video. Love those F body’s !!! Robert and HR are two cool dudes to get out there and drive those F body’s . Both cars are beautiful.. I am partial to the Formula, but that 73 camaro is very sharp. The camaro gets on down the road pretty dam good. Sounds great 👍
Robert needs to put a cam in that LQ4 to keep up with HR and make that LS sing. The Formula is absolutely beautiful!!!
It was A LOT OF FUN!!!
I can’t wait to get my 72 done. Them guys running good lol
For sure! It was a blast!
That Camaro is Badass! Love the color and the fit and finish gorgeous! I am partial to the Z-28 steering wheels of the late 70s Z28
on that headliner when i did mine i used water in a spray bottle and sprayed it. Then heated it with a heat gun or blow dryer slightly and it tightened right up. i believe thats how i did it. its done over 15 years ago and its still tight like a drum
I will definitely try that technique this weekend. I have a heat gun. Thank u
Great video! Two really nice Camaro dudes there. I'm checking out the southern camaro site now.
Thank you brotha!!
I have a built 4l60e in my LSA supercharged 370 lq9 with ls3 heads…..its built to withstand 650hp and im sure im walking the line with it but my build has 12k mi on it and that transmission is solid…..its a level 3 mad dog trans and some people talk shit about mad dog but honestly this trans is solid….im currently building a 408 to replace the 370 so we will see how well that mad dog stays mad before its a so called “sad dog” as ive been told….if that happens im goin 3rd pedal tkx
Hell yeah brotha. Honestly a built 4l60 is a awesome way to go! Love the short first gear!
Beautiful F-Body from Chevrolet and Pontiac!!! At one time, Buick and Oldsmobile was originally supposed to have their own versions of the second generation F-Body in 1970, but GM shelved them because they felt that they were going to affect the sales of the Camaro and Firebird
This was such an awesome experience filming this episode. I didn't even realize how unique it was when I was doing it.
The small block Chevy is the best reliable ez to maintain and plenty fast I see no point in changing it
😬 😱
😂😂😂😂😂
Review Caged crank
Great video. I can't wait to receive my Lq9 from you .
Thank you brother! Should be there Wednesday!
Great video, sad to hear Michigan was a waste of time. Our state usually does great business really when it comes to automotive service. We love those FBody cars here on our channel too✅ Great content💯🔥🔥🔥
Thank you brotha! Michigan is BEAUTIFUL. Check out the latest video with the Buick I just picked up from there!
That's the way to go . Yes old school carbureted leaky carbon monoxide gas hogs are traditional . But this is the best of both worlds . Great looking body with great running engines "

I rode in my father's 73 Camaro as a kid for my years. He was about to junk it one day since its been sitting for over +20 years, told me i can have it in one condition which was to fix it up and let him drive it once more. So now im here doing an LS swap on it and seeing your outstanding camaro reassured me that i made the right choice in my journey to LS swap it
@@Sylvanold Glad you enjoyed the video and I wish you much success on your journey with restoring your 73 Camaro. I still have a few more things I would like done, but for now its running strong everyday without problems 🙏🏾
100%! Hope to see it one the road one day brotha!
Badass cars
Wouldn’t they both be 50 already though if camaros dropped a year before like they do now.Enjoyed the video either way.
You’re definitely right! I appreciate the support brother!
Numbers matching doesnt scare me. Cars are meant to be driven and if i put a few thousand on an og drivetrain I did my job. I wouldve liked to have seen it stock but as long as you keep the original drivetrain i dont care because you have all of the original stuff.
I didn't get that part! I have numbers matching cars, but they're a 1978 Dodge d150 and a 1972 Chrysler New Yorker. If I do a Gen 3 Hemi swap, I'll surely keep the or original drive train because they're extremely clean cars and why not!?
I have an 81 z28 I wanna ls swap but I have to be frugal. I just want to keep
Up with the 5.0 mustangs or be a tad faster.
What swap kits did you use?
Niiiiiice, just nice
It was a lot of fun!
What wheels are those on the Camaro?
What headers did you use?

Lol!!! It sits really nice 😂

If this is the OFFICIAL gm outlet channel, where is the UNOFFICIAL channel? Maybe their host doesn't have a stupid sounding lisp
Your mama loves it!
And she's subscribed
@@thegmoutlet Shes dead. You're a whack job
Why can't you drive a numbers matching vehicle🤔⁉️ 4L60 were for passenger cars, people with trucks don't like them! I blew the sun shell out twice in a Suburban!
LS swaps are over rated! Keep Pontiac powered with a Pontiac engine. Butler and Kauffman build stout Pontiac engines.
I would prefer a small block Chevy over a LS any day. Or a big block Chevy for that matter. LS engines or oil leaking pieces of junk. But that's my opinion!
Don’t know where you get LS are oil leaking junk. LS engines seal up better than older GM engines.. Yes Butler builds some nasty wicked engines. However they are ridiculously priced. Dollar for dollar you can get more HP cheaper with an LS and better drive ability for the money as well.. LS is just the new small block. If money isn’t an issue by all means throw a $30k+ wicked Butler in your ride.. You get up in the 77’s and a lot of Trans Ams had 403 Oldsmobile.. lol
Keep Pontiac a Pontiac Baffoons....
😬 😱
Did the later firebirds have pontiac motors……BAFFOON!!
Do you source ls3 engines? Or later 420hp truck engines? If so hit me up ill get you my number. Im putting it in 80ta with 4k orig miles.. thx Dan..
