Emily and Kyle were looking to adopt a pet bird. Upon meeting Gizmo they knew he was the one. At first the adoption agency said he was not up for adoption and that he was too aggressive. But Emily and Kyle knew they had to have him. After being locked in a cage for 16 years Gizmo thrived in his new home and now has the freedom to roam around whenever he wants.

So sad that they just put him in his cage and forgot about him it's heartbreaking cuz apparently he had so much love to give nobody really gave a crap thank you for not giving up on him adopting him and letting him come out of his little show on his own time he's an adorable African gray I'm so glad he landed in a wonderful forever home hopefully someday he'll be able to fly and if not I'm glad that he's left no matter what thank you for adopting him
Sometimes in life as humans or animals we are looked at as damaged but it just takes the right family to bring out the best in us! We are so glad Gizmo is in his happy forever home ❤

I'm so happy that he found the RIGHT HOME where he's experience real love.
Of course parrots of any type will become aggressive if left alone a lot and always caged.
That's why, if people are working and the house is empty for 8-10 hours (or so) leaving a bird like that alone is literally cruel.
Birds are social beings and NEED to be with their "flock."

True story...my uncle died unexpectedly and when my aunt went to hospital to get his medical records She was followed home by a beautiful parrot, that stayed around her home for a while and would "chat" with her...their last name- Parrott!

What a wonderful rescue story to share. Emily,
my deepest condolences to you for losing your mum so unexpectedly. We're never truly ready for death but it's all the more devastating when there's no warning (unlike if a family member battledcancer and lost after a fierce fight against the disease). You and Gizmo found and rescued each other when you both needed it the most. Love conquers all and helps us recover from tragedy;love can't replace the ones we've lost but it can lighten the effects we feel. Stay safe and be well.

I am so glad that this kind caring couple gave Gizmo a new life where he can know what it feels like to be loved and have a life outside of a cage or in his case parrot prison may the 3 of them have many many years together that are filled with lots of fun happiness love laughter and memorable memory making

What kind of evil bastards would keep an animal in a cage for almost two decades.
People like that I would love to give them the same treatment for just one week.
One week of being in a tiny cage or on a little short leash out in the yard with barely any food for one week.
A lot of people would change their ways if they could experience it...
I agree, but there was such a lack of education out there on how to properly care for birds and old shows or cartoons always showed them in cages. We hope that with Gizmos story we can help educate people so they know that birds deserve to have freedom and attention like any of our furry babies ❤
the only reason birds cannot fly are that his flight feathers were cut incorrectly and never grew back, and or his muscles in his wings are not strong enough to fly. The latter is easy to fix, the first one is irreparable.

This is one of the coolest channels I’ve seen. There’s a girl name is Jamie French and she’s got a parrot and she does two episodes for she asked for parrot for advice and it is the funniest thing you’ve ever seen . Even though she has only two segments I watch them all the time but I always come right back and watch gizmo because he just has me laughing and I don’t even own a bird
