World Musical Instruments in South Korea is one of the largest guitar factories on Earth. They produce ALL Schecter Diamond Series, LTD signature and 1000 series, Ormsby import guitars, BC Rich and Dean import guitars, as well as PRS SE.
I've got an Ormsby RC-ONE 7 string, and it's one of my main guitars. I love it, I've got a lot of expensive guitars (USA Jackson KV7, Caparison TAT Special 7 & Orbit 7 CZQ, etc) and it holds its own just fine. They produce extremely high quality guitars for the money, their products are a great value.
@@freedomseeds8194 Oh absolutely. Schecter and PRS SE tend to have some QC issues on the first batch or two of new models, but my LTD M7HT and Alex Wade 7B are both incredibly high quality guitars that I pre-ordered.
Whats crazy is i played a new one at a guitar center and it was INSANELY heavy. Id rec. buying it from sweetwater which shows each guitars weight, which is awesome. That guitar center i demo’d it at must have got a ‘bad’ swamp ash body on the one i played. I agree keith merrow KM7 (which i own) had to have played a role in this guitars development. It should be noted that the neck was almost identical to my KM7 which is one of my favorite necks i own. Also, no joke - those schecter john brown pickups are amazing and unique, which is crazy imo for stock guitar brand pickups. I was going to buy one and swap pickups out with bare knuckles, but after playing it in guitar center behind a 5150 and a fender delux reverb, no pickup swaps were necessary imo. They have a very unique sound which is one of my main reasons i buy guitars, like adding colors to my paint collection. Great video! And yes this guitar is by far one of the best values today in 2024- i plan on buying one off sweetwater that is lighter than the one i played. The one i played had to be 10 or 12 lbs, heavy or heavier than a ‘heavy’ les paul…. It was weird AF. Make sure you demo guitars before you buy them🤘
$1,500 for a guitar isn’t bad at all. Guitars and basses are the cheapest production (and even custom) instruments you can even buy, outside of stuff like Ukeleles, banjos, etc… Try pricing a custom ANY other instrument. The fact that high quality production instruments can be made for $1,500 is a manufacturing marvel.
South Korea makes some of the best import guitars in the market. The Diamond Series is Schecter's line of import guitars. The next level is the USA made guitars which are $3k+
I like this guitar but I am happy I decided to go with the Keith Merrow 7 string only for a few reasons 1. neck thru construction just looks / feels better to me 2. I like some dot inlays and the KM-7 has some wicked inlays that don't look awful otherwise the construction and components are very similar and I for the price Schecter brings the noise!
Hey man, have you ever tried upping the string gauge on this guitar ? I’m planning to use an 11-64 set but im worried the 0.64 won’t fit in the tuner machine

1650 is a lot for a S. Korean guitar.
I bought my Anja Qatsi Mayones for 3k used in mint quality.

Wish the price tags for good guitars wasn’t so insane these days

All of Schecters higher end guitars are made in South Korea.
Hi! Thanks for the info, I honestly didn’t know that
Not exactly, they have a USA custom shop. However, the highest tier of import models come from South Korea rather than Indonesia
@@jkrunch2166 I should have been more clear. I meant the production models.
In fact, they do have a made in Japan series, which are hardly available outside of east Asia.
I received my Tao 6 last week. I fell in love !! Wow schecter makes a FANTASTIC high end s korean made guitar for not far off from a 5k mayones!
Did you miss out on the KM MK3 models?
@@karterestill nope not a big fan of any guitar with Fishman pick-ups

@@Umbruh_Prime none at all !!!!! The guitar is super light and is perfectly balanced! I do also have the 6 . The 7 and 8 might be much neck heavy !

The little hole in the tuner machine is around 2 mm diameter. I’m using 10 -59 currently,
In case this helps
@@migueldonneys Thanks! I just restrung it and the 0.64 fit perfectly
@swarmer5 glad it worked!
Great review! I was just wondering if you were able to measure the exact weight of this guitar. Very curious just how light it is.
Sure! I was off a little bit, but it weighs 7.5 lbs
Hi mate! Awesome video! Can you please share the exact weight of the guitar if possible?
Sure, in fact i was off a bit but it is still light
7.4 lbs
calm soothing voice, mega riffage, sick video
