I still am in awe of the uselessness of Bowman to squander Panarin and P.Kane’s best years. It’s akin to basically,,,,,,,, nothing. I guess it must have felt normal for a GM to trade a player that has had the best chemistry with PKane. Disgusting.

As a Columbus fan, I enjoyed this trip down memory lane.
One note about McQuaid: it wasn't that he wasn't a fit. He took a hit to the head a few games into his time here and it ended up ending his career.
Fun trade-related fact about McQuaid: he was drafted by the Blue Jackets in 2005 then later traded to Boston for a pick that Columbus would later flip to Dallas and which was used by the Stars to select Jamie Benn.

As a Rangers fan this was a nice watch (aside from the goal from he who shall not be named and the jab at Hank).
Loved Nash as a Ranger, even when he wasn’t scoring he was still a very important part of the team with surprising solid two way play. Really like Lindgren’s grit, hope he didn’t just have a one off year. He wasn’t even on our radar when acquired but after coming up from the AHL was the only good left handed defenseman (still is).
Feel like you underrated Buch, he’s a part of the team but a very important one. He’s an excellent play driver finally hitting his stride. Feel like that happens a lot though, very under appreciated player.

I was in the building when Bread's empty netter sealed the sweet over Tampa. I know people outside of Columbus wonder what the hell Jarmo was thinking, swinging for all of those expiring contracts. That moment right there is part of what he was thinking. The roof nearly blew off Nationwide Arena the second that goal went in and I've never heard the crowd be nearly as loud as the Cannon before. I get super emotional to this day thinking about that sweep, even though the Jackets lost to Boston in the next round. That doesn't even matter. Because FINALLY winning that playoff series and taking down the Goliath Lightning in the process was worth every trade and penny.

The St. Louis Blues' second-round pick went to the Winnipeg Jets as the result of a trade on March 21, 2022, that sent Andrew Copp and a sixth-round pick in 2023 to New York in exchange for Morgan Barron, a conditional first-round pick in 2022, a fifth-round pick in 2023 and this pick (being conditional at the time of the trade).

You guys could do the Trevor linden trade to the islanders, it turns into Todd bertuzzi which turns into Roberto luongo which turns into the video you guys already did.

Speed round was nice with the old timey piana, it would be awesome to do the Trevor Linden for Bryan Berard, Todd Bertuzzi and draft pick as that tree was still active until this past offseason for the Canucks

I wonder if there's a spin off possible of the Trade Tree - a How'd They Get That Guy tree. Go thru a line-up see how they got to the team.
Lindgren was mentioned in this trade tree, and I saw Adam Fox's name in another trade as an after thought (Norris trophy winning Adam Fox) and today Fox/Lindgren is the Ranger's top pair.

I have mentioned about the Pavel Bure trade tree from Vancouver to Florida. But another trade tree that would be intriguing is the Trevor Linden trade tree

I love a good trade tree, length isn't necessary, but man is the demonstration of impact amazing!

So I'm just going to add this in to this trade tree quick because i didn't hear it in the video at 26:45 the video shows John Moore going to the coyotes with a 1st in 2015, 2nd in 2015, and Duclair. The fun part here is that 2nd round pick was never the Rangers pick. That 2nd originally belonged to the Lightning. The Rangers and the Lightning made a trade one year earlier which sent Martin St Louie to the Rangers in Exchange for Ryan Challahan, 2015 1st and a 2014 conditional 2nd round pick. But what people often forget is that there was another condition in that trade. The condition was if Callahan Resigns with the Lightning then the Rangers would receive the Lightnings 2nd round pick in 2015 which became the 60th overall pick and that's exactly what happen. Then the trade happens which send John Moore, Duclair, 2015 1st and 2nd to the Coyotes. But we are not done Because this trade tree is also connected with the Curtis Glencross trade tree. The Flames traded Glencross the the Caps in exchanged for a 2015 2nd and a 2015 3rd. The Flames would then Trade that 3rd round pick 76th overall (Adian Hill) from the Caps and there own 3rd round pick 83 overall (Jens Looke) the Coyotes in exchange for that 60th overall 2nd round pick. and with that pick as shown in this video the Flames would Select Oliver Kylington. Its honestly not that important to this trade tree but i thought i would add in here as a fun fact.

The Jack Johnson Trade tree from Carolina to Los Angeles would be good for a longer one. It built a dynasty in LA, and really hindered the Canes in the short term, but helped further down the line.
