I also went Brushless with mines. It is now a Thousand Time more Fun!!! One of my Favorite RC's, Tires don't last long though. i'm on my 5th Set of Tires right now.
Thanks for asking! I prefer a mode 2 transmitter as it it more intuitive for me. Right goes right instead of a knob rotation turning right. Also this is an older slash and it had a 5.8 ghz system with the long antenna and I just prefer this setup. I can easily bind all my planes, boats and cars with the same remote.
thx for the video. I'm installing one of these on my slash 2wd as well but how did you calibrate the throttle? or lvc settings and stuff? I didn't buy a programming card. Do you must have one to do these?
Thanks for watching! For me, the stock settings were great so no programming card was needed. Use the traxxas calibration instructions or do this. Unplug and turn off radio, plug it in, then hold max throttle, you might have to do it before plugging in or after plugging in the lipo. Wait until you hear confirmation beeps, then release to neutral position. There are other guides online if this method did not work. Enjoy!
I had to repace the ESC with a hobbywing one, because the original is not waterproof, but if its out of water, it should last much longer than mine did.
Waiting impatiently for mine, as well as the 124019. They only had the 4370kv left so i bought that and also a racestar 3300kv motor that look identical. Then i thought about it a bit and also got a couple of 959 17t pinions and mounting brackets, a 3S lipo, servo dumbRC controller, more wheels, lol. this is nuts. I don't even have the cars yet(got the 18 too woohoo) So far I only have the wltoys 979 1/16, which for the price is amazing. Won't bother modding that tho. This will be my first, at, umm 56. about time i rekon. :)
I have this 4370kv combo in my 124019 and I cannot get my surpass hobby program card to work with it... Have you tried a program card, did it work and what one was it? I have a silver/white surpass hobby and a big analog style one. Neither work in this one but do in the combo in another car.
Cool upgrade! I have a senton mega and I'm looking to upgrade with this same system. Hows it holding up? Im only looking for about 30-35 mph, i have 2 and 3 cell lipo batteries and will likely just play with the pinion gear to get that.
I just got this esc and motor today, Its pretty fast however the esc feels cheap but the motor feels amazing. I highly recommend buying a new esc in the future.
@@TrailingGen7 Thanks for the info, mine is on the way. Don’t plan to gear it for speed but I want something faster than 30kmh lol, hoping for 45 ish with some gearing changes.
@@RattlesnakeRCandHobbies Yeah np, I have mine set to the high gearing which with the brushed goes around 30mph and with the brushless it can go to around 40+ mph
Thanks for watching! I think that these runs were with 2s, but I don’t remember exactly what I was using/when I purchased 3s batteries. I think these runs were 2s
@@theorangebaron1595 This is kinda a stupid question but is there any programming or anything that goes into this? Or is it just installing the esc/motor plugging them into the receiver, not changing anything else and you are good to go?
@@mitchelldexter1901 If you mean coding, then no. The esc has parameters like brake strength and acceleration, that can be changed either with either stick commands or an additional programming card(not sure). With that said, the motor combo will work plug and play right out of the box, no changes or modifications needed, just power from the battery, wires to the receiver, and plugging the motor wires in.
Yes, the esc works great. Just don’t wash under high pressure with a hose. I did it with mine to clean the car and the esc stopped working. It’s best to keep it dry and it will last.
I am not sure what you mean, a brushed motor needs a brushed esc, and a brushless motor needs a brushless esc. A receiver will work with both types of escs.

I have a similar experience... with tires.
With that said, the speed and power is awesome!
Thanks for watching!
3650 motor same shat size 2 with out heat fines are bigger motors i used a gool rc cheapo setup and it flys
I am sure that that setup does fly!
I just bought this motor ESC combo yesterday. Can't wait to install in on my Wltoys 124019. Did you have some traction issue on the grass?
Yes, the tires are not super knobby for the grass but that is not the motors fault. I hope you have fun with it!
Thanks a lot! New Christmas idea im gonna have to do this to my slash!
Faster then the stock titan brushed on a 2wd slash?
I put it into my granite 4x4 amd it cogs a lilttle bit at the start up then goes away. does urs do any cogging?
not trying to be rude because it is a great video! but you can change 2 wires to fix it from going backwards but onjly with sensorless motors
Looks so easy to work on
Nice Video But why a Stick Radio

Great video I'm definitely getting one of these 😃👍🏻
where there any problems running 3s? because on Amazon it said only 2s but on the esc it Says 2-3S and i don't want to kill it
I ran it on 3s and it worked fine. It was my first 3s car experience and it was awesome. Thanks for watching!
When you pull the trigger does the Motor have a delay
No, motor punch is pretty good. Especially on 3s
Thank for the information.
You're welcome
Hello, where are the stl files ? thanks
Does the Esc and the motor still work fine?

@@nanonunio I run 2s, 3s is risky but it could go more than 50mph with 3s
it is nimh compatible?
I have only run it with lipos but the stock nihm runs at about 10v so it should work fine
what battery plugs into these?
For this esc and motor combo, 2s and 3s work but I recommend 3s because it is so much faster.
What’s the speed?
My top was 35mph but the acceleration makes it seem so much faster.
Very nice 👍
Not going to need it for speed. Going to put it on Blast boat for rescue notate purposes.
Nice!
Hi just curious if this can be used with a 11.1 volt 3s LiPo
Yes, it is blazing fast with a 3s and it works great, no overheating!
Was that a airplane remote
Yes
Do you run 3s most of the time ? If so are the temps ok? Slightly warm?
I run both 3 and 2s, on 3s for a long run time, it gets warm but not hot. Even on 2s, it is wicked fast.
hye bro.... combo esc still running or not... this item heavy duty or not bro
The motor is heavy duty, just protect the esc from heavy water, it is only water RESISTANT
Is there something else I can use to mount the esc?
Yes, you could cut the mount from wood, or simply use double sided tape and stick it anywhere on the chassis.
Can I still use your stock remote with this combo!
You can use any remote as long as the receiver has the standard servo 3 pin connectors.
I got the exact same motor and it coggs a lot does yours do the same (i am using the high speed gearing btw)
No, I have no issues with bogging or cogging.
Did you test this with 2s?

What’s that combo esc/motor?
It is stated in the video title…
does this works any controller?
Yes any rc receiver that has 3 pin servo output!
Is it still working good?
Yes, its lots of fun to drive!
On 3s motor spins at 55k rpm and max is 50k?
I am not sure about rpm, but the motor speed is plenty.
Would u recommend it

Some people say this is fake. CMIIW
3300 kinda slow
It's fast enough for my needs,

There's no volume on your video
It might be an issue on your side as many of my viewers seemed to understand the video.
Thank you!
Are they still good?
Yes, the motor works well, had to replace the esc due to a beach run and water damage.
