- I take my used 2WD Traxxas Slash and convert it with a 6S Motor and ESC combo, the Arrma 6S BLX system. I try out the traxxas slash first with 3S, move up to 4S, and before I even get to 6S - I break it!!

It's amazing how far you can push the Slash with upgrades and is still survives. Tough 2wd. 💯💯🏁🏁
So gotta 2wd Slash recently got a 4s lipo and aleady it’s pointing to the stars every time I think of pulling the trigger….realised I can jump to 8s as I have x2 2s lipos already for club racing…..so if you see a small mushroom cloud over London, England that’ll be my Slash taking off lol
Just bought and fit a spectrum Firma 150a smart ESC and motor, had to trim the transmission casing just to fit the motor! Just waiting on my 5mm pinion gears from Amazon to hurry up and get here! This little 2wd slash did great on the vxl 3S traxxas brushless system but this spectrum 6s system has me excited!
Got the hobbywing ezrun 3652 sl g2 combo,. On 3s , after that I upgraded everything I could and love this thing , nearly as fun as my x max.
I am actually supposed to pick up a 2wd slash VXL today, and I have that exact same 6s system sitting at home, I may do this exact same setup
It hauls on pavement but on dirt you’re better off keeping it on lower power 👍🏽
I run a VXL6S system in my slash 2wd, it’s completely upgraded, literally everything lol. I haven’t run it on 6S but 4S is insanely fast and a wheelie machine
I’ll have to do the same ... I just dumped this 6s without any upgrades and I think the gears might blow up soon 😂

Try using a low center gravity and use 6s my shocks are springy as shit I got it like that and it has abut 4 to 5 shock spacers I plan on upgrade it to the low center gravity and sway bars
I have a 6s slash but I'm using the CASTLE MAMBA MAX PRO
How did u connect the receiver to the esc for throttle I’m getting no throttle and the red light flashing I only have steering
Need to calibrate your esc for throttle and brake, or make sure your esc is set to Lipo mode
I have 4 of those hoovo lipos they are amazing had them for a year
Oh yeah they seem good so far! Too bad they’re sold out of the same ones I have to stock up as I write this

I wish you were using a castle 1515 6s motor because I dont want to buy one and it does not fit in the 2wd slash i have. I use the copperhead 1412 black edition 3200kv right now 32p 24/54 and it flys on 3s not getting hot.
I’m surprised the 1515 6s motor does not fit since I think it’s the same can size, the arrma 6s does have more holes for mounting I think

What would it take to switch my redcat volcano s30 nitro to battery
have to find a place for a motor mount and make sure it aligns with the spur and then just motor+esc+battery
You don’t need to take the whole thing apart to change your spur gear you can pry it out with a flat head and slide you new one on
Shoot good call out ... just the 3 screw holding it on and pop it off. Definitely the way I should’ve done it

I used the same plastic ones, but you can upgrade to the metal ones on Amz
I just built a 3s traxxas slash 2wd drift car and it was perfect 6s was to much for my small track great video very helpful
Yeah I think 3s is good enough or 4s... I did get some better tires which helped but it’s still crazy
I have that same setup minus the gears....goin for it. Looks great on 4s

NO IT'S NOT. My *totally bulletproof* 2wd Slash has a Hobbywing Max8 & 2200 kv motor combo on 6S with 18/90 metal on metal gearing

Lol I've been running that in my slash for 2 years
Lmk when you get the RR spur, RR idler, HR diff, all the stock stuff starts breaking around 65mph. I'd recommend getting yourself the "A" axles from the 4x4 slash, and a hot racing trans if you wanna have pinion gear options.
I currently have 5th scale wheels on the rear of my 6s full firma slash.
As for your batteries, get the "x" battery tray and you can run a single 6s pack under the stock 29mm clip

@@JacobusRC it's a Robinson racing 56t spur and an Arrma "D" 15-20t hardened steel pinion depending on my setup for the day

3s is too much for a slash really can't understand why you guys install 1/8 scale systems in a slash they are only made to run 1/10 scale systems and no more than 3s I guess its true what they say about traxxas owners most nubes
3s is only too much if you dont setup your rig right for the extra power. I run 4s on my Stampede and it handles great because I set it up properly. Tekno driveshafts, belted Duratrax tires, 4mm toe & camber links, drag slash transmission, 25kg servo, gtr shocks, Fast Lane extended aluminum chassis. I've run 25-30 packs of 4s with it so far and it's a stable high speed monster.

@@JacobusRC Oh, my bad lol! We jus put a brushless system from a DHK Maximus in our Slash. So i reely wanted to see what it look like when u ran urs on 6s. Will definitely watch em. Thankyou bro.
@@choke666 Yeah man, mine was slower than I expected because it lacked grip and I left the pinion gear the same (I think 15t), If you upgrade the pinion gear and tires you should be rolling faster
