Nice video loving all the build videos, just put a castle 5700kv motor and a sidewinder 4 in my slash 2wd with a 19 tooth pinion and 83 tooth spur and it rips so far no overheating problems
Hi mate I had the same problem so I've put some rubber under under the battery post. I punched a couple of holes for screws to go though it moves a bit but that's fine. Looking forward to your next video mate 👍🤪😁😁 I used truck tube rubber 👍
I built my vxl 2wd slash into a road slash by keeping the stock front tires and making the rears a 2.9 53/107 db boot hoon tire and doing ssome susspension tuning like shock placement adjustment, pre load changes, and camber adjustments made it into a good machine. Other than the motor/ esc, what else did you use to mount the motor up? I know I will probably get stseel gears, but what gear ratios did you use, did you uses a clutch delete, and did you upgrade the diff gears, I have a sesaled diff wth stock gears and some diff fluid, but other than that, my trans and gear setup is stock.
At 1:42 you could keep the stock tray and as you hand is one doubled zip tie from receiver box to esc side and then again the other end of esc of that makes sense Nolan
@@RCKnockout use zip ties across the lipo instead of the black strap type thing that goes over the lipos length ways 🤔 have you ever seen how Rocky of Thunder Rc would tape around his X maxx so his lipos wouldn’t pop out in his huge landings

I had duratrax six pack sc on mine. They were nice til I stripped out a hub 😢 I’m running badlands on beadlocks now, they are a little bigger diameter than stock so they rub on the stock body. They probably won’t rub on the bug body but I run my bug body on my trx4 so I’m not sure 👍
So you know what I’m going to try out Nolan I’m going to try and double up some very thick zip/Cable ties across the width of the slash 4x4 and the ends of the lipo tray 🤔 and see if that holds true and try not to get the joins underneath the chassis as that’s snag on anything not flat whilst running that way I can run gens ace 3s 8000 100c lipos tho they’ll be very heavy I don’t jump that much so I’ll gain very long run times

@@RCKnockout I keep a close eye on the temps in the summer as the temps get way to high, but in the winter, the temps stay nice and cool. Do the temps stay cool in the summer for you with the new motor setup
You really need to build a ramp with a curvature to it. All your doing is slamming your car chassis into a wall and is what is probably breaking everything. You should be able to hit a jump and have minimal chassis contact on the ramp
Things a ripper for sure! I just picked up a Traxxas UDR this Tuesday and it's awesome!
Sounds awesome man! UDR looks like a ton of fun!
There's something nostalgic about two wheel drive

glad it’s working well for you 👍😉
Yeah I screwed up and ordered the wrong kv hit the wrong button lol
@@chrismorgan9290 well as long as it worked out in the end
A bug body on a two wheel drive buggy will never go out of style. Would the Rustler 2wd wheels work on this?

I would put your ramps at the other side of the road asthe car is jumping into the ramp before launching..cool videos for sure though!
Thanks! The road itself kinda disrupts the jump too

Duratrax makes some nice tires,I like the sixpack sc
I’ll have to check out some of their tires….thanks!
@Chris Sap sweet!
I have louise belted tyres on my basher. They have extreme offroad tyres for 1/8cars. I guess they have some for 1/10 too
Never heard of them…..I’ll have to check them out!
Very cool project…thanks for sharing
