This was really helpful. Thanks for helping me do the things I am able to do to keep my truck running better.
How often would you do this cleaning of the sensor? Thanks for your help and Jesus bless.

Sandra, Clean the MAF Sensor once a year, or sooner if you suspect a reason to do so. In my Oil Change Videos I talk about Periodic Maintenance, this may be of help to you. I appreciate the comment and blessing! - Stiles

If I clean the motorcraft maf sensor ,will the engine light go off. I have the duralast maf sensor and the mechanic said it's calling for the original maf sensor.

Ricric, By cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) regularly is helps the signal response quicker, but often the Sensor can be very dirty and the Check Engine Light will not come on. If the OBDII Fault Code indicates a MAF Sensor, cleaning will likely not help, does hurt to try, but likely will not help. Some of the non-OEM parts are ok, but I much prefer Motorcraft Parts for Electronic Part like these Sensors. - Stiles
