- A good client of ours is selling his 2010 C6 3LT Grand Sport loaded with Z51 Sport Suspension so we shot a video of the car for promo.
This car is collector owned and one of the best you will ever find with only 9,000 original miles, all options, 2 tops and a striking color combo with flawless cosmetics and mechanicals. I honestly love the C6 Corvette these are an amazing sport car value for anyone seeking a usable sports car with plenty of support to track or customize further.
Few things I like about the C6 Grand Sport is the styling, I like it because I am a purist of the Corvette heritage and feel this has more authentic cues than the C7. The C7 Corvettes are not cheap and the depreciation of the C6 is at a point that they can be had for amazing values but finding a gem like this one is rare.
Hydraulic steering is a no brainer as it offers incredible steering feel and feedback, The awesome grip and chassis balance just make this a very fun to drive spirited on any of your favorite twisty roads.
Another client give me his 2017 C7 Z06 with Z07 track pack for the day and the car SUCKED in my opinion, I could not wait to give it back, the lack of grip, inconsistent power delivery, poor AC function, rattles, noises and hard ride I now realize why he unloaded it for a huge loss and bought a Porsche 991 GT3.
I prefer normally aspirated cars and too much power in a Corvette is not usable when carving country roads or your favorite track unless your a pro driver with lots of balls! The Grand Sports are my favorites and always have been because they are fun and balanced for everyone to enjoy.

I recently purchased my first Vette ('13 GS, Torch Red, 6-Speed Manual, 11k Miles.) I looked for 2 1/2 years for this particular model. What an incredible car and the looks it gets.
Not gonna lie I might choose this over the z06. That styling is top notch.

Picked up a low mile red “10” GS convert this week. 3LT ,6 speed , has performance exhaust. Handles great

Even though the C8!is out and it’s March 2024, I still live the C6 GS! I can’t wait to get mine!
It’s great fun going back to watch this in late 2023 with multiple C8 variants out now. The C6 GS, Z06 and ZR1 truly are special!
On my 4th C6, currently have an ‘12 GS 6 spd convertible, just a great car. Get one, you won’t regret it.

Great review video! helped in my decision and picked up a 2013 GS in Night Race Blue with less than 10k on it while I save my pennies for C7 Z06
Great review. Best yet. Most are people with a 10 word vocabulary. Pics and vids do not do this car justice.

Ive been looking for a Z06, but changed my mind. Hard to find a good one that has issues fixed AND hasn't been hot-rodded and dogged out for a decent price. Grand Sports are actually cheap
I prefer C6 and just bought mine with 15K miles for dirt cheap. Loving it!

If you cruise at 75 mph below 2k rpm = 28mpg.
with headers you get a couple more! just saying!
Yes it’s amazing in the highway ! I drove mine 80 - 85 on a 600 mile trip and got 29 mpg....
With Callaway cold air intake and Corsa Sport exhaust...

I have owned both C6 and C7 traded one in for another I personally think the C6 will age better than the C7 all the sharp angle and digital instrument display will look dated in the future

I owned a 2011 GS in same color with the heritage stripes. Looked exactly like this car and I also had a manual. Top of 2nd gear took me to about 72MPH. Absolutely crazy fun car and the engine and exhaust sound was amazing. This car will end your life quick though if you don't respect the power. It was a sad day when I sold it.
Why did you sell it?
Probably to buy something else he wanted.. sometimes garage does not have enough space for many toys.
'Fully optioned' without the Mag Ride Control is NOT fully optioned.
I understand what you are saying, but I ordered mine without the mag ride. Auto cross with the mag ride just doesn't have the feel of a good shock and sway bar package.
The heritage package was on the 2012 Corvette for the 100th Anniversary of Chevrolet

i like this way better than the new one. The new one is too digital. The interior is supposed to be better on the new one, but after sitting in them back to back, I didn't like sitting in the new one as much. I like driving the zo6 or grand sport better than the new one. The new one looks kinda busy and contrived. This one looks classic, pure and clean. I also like it being smaller than the c7. I hate digital dash displays. I like real buttons, real gauges. On balance, all things considered, i think this is my favorite sports car, especially for the price.

This particular motor. Is a GREAT MOTOR. and if you buy the manual trans. The motor is HAND BUILT.

You can now purchase the car from mid 20s to low 30s. Will probably be my next car if the c7 doesn’t drop in price by next year.

you sound like the typical pansy midlife Corvette owner who is afraid to drive the car hard, get over it you can drive your car like an old man all you want I do not roll like that. Keeping the car in the power band is far more enjoyable unless your a cheap ass trying to save gas

the C6 is a great car this one sold to a good home. I do like the new C8 just not the ridiculous prices they are selling for today.
What price did this car sell for?
What would you say now (7-10-23) when C6 Grandsports are about $40-45k with relatively low miles (under 40k) and you can get a C7 Z51 with about that many miles for $50k or less?
The C7 is the better car based on build and interior quality. Im actually thinking of buying one myself the C8 is great in many regards but i still cant fall in love with it to buy one yet.
big difference gs vs z06 is the steel vs aluminum frame. Also z06 has magnesium roof!!

The C7 is better accross the board. Funny , because they say when they try to sell a C7 next to a C8, the C7 looks dated now also. All corvettes are cool though. Even C3s in the late 70s are kinda cool cruiser fashion cars.
The center console where the radio / ac / nav are is what has deterred me from buying one “yet”. Very out dated, even in that time period

Chrome wheels really age this othewise ageless widebody platform. They're why I ended up trading my Crystal Red Tintcoat 2011 GS... Just limited options to keep it stock looking and the painted wheels are IMPOSSIBLE to find.
Not machine silver. It's Blade silver. Machine silver was prior to the Grand Sport edition.
40k? I see used ones online clean carfaxes for 20-25k, base model, but still ls3 c6

@SyphonX I looked into everything and I love the widebody stance of the grandsport. I can overlook a C6 in traffic but a Z or Grandsport im like woah. The suspension, the updated infotainment and interior options of 2012's.. The low mileage. I also want a 4LT which I will buy within the next year for about 38500 out the door. Dropping 30k down.
But I also had a scatpack which was a tiny bit quicker than stock LS3 BUT it had vented/heated seats and all the creature comforts. I just think I sadly spoiled myself for some goodies that the higher packages offer.
Is the Vette for sale or even available?

I love the C7 much more than the C6. Sorry if you don't like the C7 taillights...i think the C7 looks meaner from bumper to bumper. Not to mention the steering wheel on a C6 is from a Malibu. That's cheap
I concur l skipped the C6 don't get me wrong it just took a little longer for me to get use to the change. I almost got 1. The interior was a detractor . My C5 was more comfortable sitting wise than my C7.
