My C6 does confirmed 490 whp with a Texas cam, ported intake and throttle body, long tubes (thinking kooks), cat delete and corsa exhaust. I love it and I don’t have issues with traction.
Hey from the South Carolina Coast. Have a 1964 L76 327 / 365hp all original all documented at 40,100 miles, mint. Have a 95 Vert and a 96 coupe, Z51, both mint both below 30k miles. But my fave car is my original owner 2007 Z51 3LT in Atomic Orange Metallic. Only 8,510 miles. Added KnN performance intake. and a Sprint Pedal booster. I absolutely love this car. This week and am putting on a cat back Borla exhaust. Car is super fun to drive, fast and handles amazing. Was offered $38k just last week, I obviously passed, I will have this car forever. Great vid thanks for sharing.
Just drove my 11 GS from Myrtle Beach to South Florida on I95 and massive storms. No control issues, no hydroplaning, just a rock solid platform. Nice.
I absolutely agree! I’m not a big C7 fan, but the C8 I have mixed feelings about. I think the C6, especially the years after 08 are going to stay valuable and highly sought after.
Great review! Love my C6 manual base model... with cam upgrade, Callaway cold air intake, American Racing headers, high flow cats, Corsa Sport exhaust, & tune.... 452 RWHP... just the right amount of power and sound... 👍🏼
Maybe next summer I'll pay cash for a C6 base model coupe in one of the Copper Orange colors, with a manual transmission. Klamath Falls, Greater Idaho here, TV'24!
I have an 08, Black 6-speed manual. Got it for $24k. It has 76k on it. I love it! C8 is a dream, for now, I'll probably get one in a few years 😂...Not!
Man I want a C5, those pop up headlights, and that power. I drive a 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 with 130HP, even with the S/R conversion I’m doing it’ll be a massive 146HP-150ish @ 2,360lbs lol I like naturally aspirated, more reliable over the long haul.
I have a 2011 grand sport with an LS three that’s bone stock and if it wasn’t for the trick exhaust, I have with the baffles my car would be extremely quiet, but I pulled the fuse so the baffles are open full-time and it sounds like an aftermarket exhaust. It’s got a nice burble to it and I like the way it farts and backfires, but there’s no reason why an LS3 should be loud unless it’s modified or the exhaust is modified.
I'm a fan of Velocity Yellow on these, and prefer the looks of the wide body's. This vid really does makes one appreciate the gorgeous Jetstream Blue in full sun, though! Slight modification to minimize the carp-mouth front end, and a few neon-green plastidip (peelable paint) to hilite the side coves and hood contours, and it'll earn the neck-snapping attention it deserves. I'd also prefer Twin-Turbskis over cam for economy, drivability, sound, and power reasons.
A TT LS C6 would amazing haha. And I agree with you that Yellow, Blue, and Orange on this body style looks awesome. I also have a driving video of this car I need to make public soon!
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Most Corvettes look great in LOUD colors, these ''modern' cars with grays, silvers, and browns annoy the heck out of me, especially with the price you pay for a little attention (look at me im driving a new overpriced car!) 2 generations that looked good in a 'boring' white were later C4s and C5s, especially with Torch Red interior! I look forward to the vid!
Well, we got used to the new price range, but in 2020 I bought my C7 2015 3lt with 40k miles for 31k, now we cant even by a c6 2012-13 for that price. But ye, thinking about getting one, below 20k stick.
That isn't how you put the targa in the hatch. that can break those plastic clips. There are 4 mounting points, two more clips in the back that weren't used in this video. What is meant by mildly powered seats? I think there are different levels of powered seats.
There’s a lot of factors to consider such as accident history and how many owners it’s had. I recommend having a mechanic check it out and sharing their thoughts on if it’s worth the asking price!
I think you overestimated the power a bit. With a Texas speed stage 2 cam, long tube headers on my manual LS3 based C6, I made 470 whp on a mustang dyno. I agree though, 1st gear is pretty useless even with conti extreme contact sports. Second gear on a warm day? 🚀 See ya 👋🏻
Sorry about that! Honestly, I think the car probably sold before I ever posted the video. I held onto this video for over a month before making it go from my membership program to public. I even have another video of it but more of an extended driving impressions videos. Thanks for watching and sorry for the disappointment!
They’re definitely cheaper being slightly less desirable despite being basically the exact same car lol. But also there were more made in the first few years of the C6 before the recession hit and caused far fewer 09-13 examples to be produced than 05-08 (08 being the start of the ls3).
Not sure, it might have briefly been shown in the video on the rear mirror paper, but I don’t recall if I showed all of it. I’d speculate it was somewhere around 28-31k.
Cobalt came out in2005 it didn't get the steering wheel until 2007 corvette had the steering wheel in 2006 corvette had it first, so quite telling people the corvette has a cobalt steering wheel 😮
Beautiful car until you pay attention to the classic GM finishing... Corvette needs to be rescued form Chevrolet. Beautiful cars cheapened with the finishing, and current Corvettes are expensive enough that I would think 10 times before going to a regular GM dealership for service and received her back all dirty or damaged.

Corsa here also. Enjoy your and be safe Vette Brother or Sister
What tires are you running and what size, I’m FBo with e85 no cam, struggling with grip

C6 GS is a beautiful car, I bet that was a fun drive!
Good review. C6 is a lot of fun. Classic lines. Arguably the best looking corvette C series yet.
Thanks, and I agree!
C6 is a wonderful car, love mine......
That’s for sure, I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
Mine too ❤
$30k is a lot for a base model Corvette. But perhaps the mods make it worthwhile.
@@iluvcakes19Good luck finding one for much less 🙂

Corvette is a perfect Car and always have been
Yeah! Especially the C6, such a sweet all around car.
The C5 and C6 are _the_ corvettes. At least for me, I remember watching the C5-R racing on TV and it was immediately my favorite.
I absolutely agree! I’m not a big C7 fan, but the C8 I have mixed feelings about. I think the C6, especially the years after 08 are going to stay valuable and highly sought after.
Nice write-up. Describes my `08 C6 perfectly. The M6 is definitely a lot of fun. Even as a daily driver and heavy traffic, I don't mind clutching it.
Thumbs up for the CAM! We need more!!
Thanks! 🤪 I also have a longer driving impressions video of this and a Cammed Chevy SS Sedan I’ll eventually make public!

That sounds like a good time! 🤩
the color on this c6 is beautiful, wow!
I agree!
I bought my 2008 c6 with 6500 miles on it for $29k in 2016…same color, jet stream blue. Still loving it!

6500 or 65,000 miles for $29k?

I just got 1 and I’m trying to figure out is it something wrong with it or do all C6 LS3s sound that loud? But I can’t lie, I slick Love it😂

Nice!! I LOVE the GS.
Love it.
This was a fun one, lol. Thanks for watching!
Once you up the power levels over stock, the tires need to be addressed. Enough of the right rubber under the backside will fix all of those issues.
Absolutely! This one was extremely traction limited, lol.
I got one and won’t get rid of it. Seeing less of em everyday.

That sounds like a fun car!
Muffler change can quite it down , more power needs better tires and temperatures above 50
Looking at one right now with 145,000 miles - he’s asking $14,000 for it. Is that okay ? Anything I need to look out for ???? Has a clean title

Worth spending the extra to get an 08+ not just because of the jump to LS3, but for manual cars at least the jump from T56 to TR6060.
Any idea what it sold for?
