    Great video my son and I have been working your techniques for 2 seasons. He has went from someone who hit the ball hard but many times it would be ground balls to now leading his league in home runs and even being intentionally walked at least once in most games. Thanks for sharing this information on a platform that so many people can see and learn from it.

    Hi Richard, my dad and Coach use to say it’s o k to have weight on my back leg, them step. He called it wait and go. Every other coach told me I was wrong. I always got in between. I understand everything thing you say ! My dad sounded more like you, rather than Walt Wrinik. I found out more about hitting from you than anyone else ! Oh well I got bad advice, I’ll keep watching ! Thanks Richard !

    I just started using your techniques this fall season with my softball girls and what a difference between last season and this season. I've seen tons of other batting instructors and I instantly knew what you were trying to accomplish, no oun intended, right off the bat! I feel bad though, I feel like I'm cheating by copying what you do! Thank you!!

    Yes! When I'm not one-legged I notice that my swing goes downward through the zone. I hit ground balls that should be line drives over the infield with less power when I make this mistake.

    I do have a question if you're able to address: For these 9u kids, not real experienced, would the SWINGRAIL work with your techniques. Teaching kids to keep that back elbow tight is difficult

    I have a question should I keep my bat resting on my shoulder at the time we will execute the swing or we should lift it a little bit? I have been training your principles and concepts and I know I’m still on my way to get there but I could notice the power on the hitting is huge specially when I don’t use almost my hand to push the ball are my hips doing the majority of the effort. I haven’t understood that until I tried it. Thanks

    Absolutely no way you can rotate on the rear leg ( one legged $with it bearing all of your weight. Some weight has to shift forward off the leg in order for the rotation to happen. You demonstrate this when you place your front foot down prior to rotating in the video.

    • @kevinnoll4745

      You lose power if you don't shift weight...upon swinging...there comes a point where you let go and allow them to mold themselves...personally I would take 9 Tony Gwynn vs 9 Aaron judge

    Question would a great drill for this be, sitting down besides the tee then having to get up to swing, for some reason when I do this drill with my boys they stay coiled up...IDK why it works honestly but I've found that it is the easiest way to teach them to stay coiled. I would like to hear you opinion on this. Thnx in advance.

      @shaunfeather1741 Год назад

      I've been working on this and starting teaching a batting course over the summer in my area. The one tip I that I give that gets great results it to keep your front shoulder straight as long as possible through the swing. This helps the barrel come up through the correct path towards the opposite infielder. Try focusing on keeping your shoulder straight through the swing as long as possible and hopefully that helps straighten the ball out more often. It helps the players I coach and teach.

      The simplest way I've found to teach this concept to kids is to have your head over you back foot. As you pick your front leg up and start to drift forward, try to keep your head over your back foot as much as possible. This will cause a feeling across your back like you're stretching a giant rubber band from your front toe to your rear elbow. Swing when you feel that tension. The pivot of your swing should feel like it's coming from your rear hip socket.
