    Hips start first in the swing. This is because we are creating separation between upper and lower body. When lower swings first, the upper body is rotating already quicker.

    He might have started with his hands but his hips still worked he had his hands high Williams lowered unless he faced a Bob Feller he led with his hips ok Williams more in a crouch Bonds crouch Williams and Bonds struck out more than they walked Thome high strike out definitely a home run threat. Boils down to different body types he might have focused on his hands but his hips worked
