People get hung up on this and argue because when you say "weight", they think about scale weight at the feet through the swing. Most of the footed weight gets into the front foot as the swing comes through. I think you'd get less push back if you specifically referred to the weight being back in terms of the player's center of gravity needing to stay rear of their center line.
KEEPING THE BAT LONGER IN THE STRIKE ZONE. IT'S THE KEY TO MAKING BETTER CONTACT WITH THE BALL.
Sit down pops😂😂😂😂 not good advice 😂😂😂 ur head and balance is all over😂😂😂 strikeout rate up the azz😂😂😂
Thank you coach for the video
Nice video
How do you feel about the leg stride forward? My front leg lands in essentially the same spot it started in before I start to coil. Since it’s a 1 legged swing I assume it isn’t as emphasized as other aspects of the swing but wanted your thoughts on it?

A step forward is only detrimental if your weight shift leaves you unbalanced over your front foot. Not to mention a step is frequently necessary to address pitches in different locations. In this video notice the pre-coiling before the swing. This is more distance that you have to rotate “back” to get the bat in the zone. Unnecessary movement. Not to mention it takes more time to “uncoil”. Aren’t we trying to save time with the herky-jerky snap and tilt to begin with? Make it make sense…..
The best hitter of all time slapped at the ball... ichiro
Best contact hitter of all time yes, best overall hitter was Barry without a doubt
@BleedTheRic arguable but i agree i wasnt thinking bonds when i commented.. bonds didnt swing this way he had very level swing. I cant post links or images but i can clearly show you images of bonds swing right before contact its so much different than what he teaches.
@BleedTheRic hes teaching people aaron judges swing thats all. Judge is an outlier. When he is retired or starts to decline as everyone does,, and the players swinging like this are all mediocre pop fly hitters.. the fad will end.
@@georgejung6794wrong this exactly how bonds swung

Again, this is a very productive approach to hitting, but there are other hitting techniques that work well. Charlie Lau's hitting techniques were popular for certain players but not every baseball player. The goal for hitters today is elevation of the ball over the infielders to the outfielders to help advance runners. High Level Pattern hitting isn't stressing contact as much as elevation... which explains why strikeouts are OFF THE CHARTS!!! Good pitchers ALWAYS find a weakness or hole in every hitter's swing. I have been practicing HLP techniques, and this system does help me stay back longer as the ball approaches the plate....✌️👍💪⚾
Strikeouts do not advance runners.
Hitting is 99% mental ......ichiro suzuki
Yeah ask judge he tore it up in WS

Great stuff man ❤
teacherman, If I have access to the batting cages once a week, how should I maximize my time in there? at home, I can only hit off the tee, so how should I make the most out of it?
Me too
(All though I’m not teacherman) We’ll if you have a tee I’d recommend getting one of those bands to wrap around your neck and arm and work on finding your comfort zone with your quickest launch of your swing and or also get a Blast sensor although he doesn’t like it, it comes with a free feature after purchase called “time to contact” - Your downswing to contact- on my disconnected swing I will be about .17 Seconds with it and a wel connected “shorter” quicker launch of a swing be around .13-.14
@@seanisty Thanks 🙏🏽
@@kimjom-d4z his advice is good, except "downswing." Don't swing down. It's the worse swinging advice ever.

Wtf is Jeff Frye? Lol
Judge has 2 of the best hitting seasons in history because of 1)cheating and 2)goldilocks balls. MLB covers him and the Yankees up. As well as the Dodgers.
Good pitching will crush this approach.Judge agrees👍
I can do pretty much whatever with my front leg, but I'm most comfortable doing the Ohtani tippy toe lol
How bout batting stance?
Correct. The toughest one is the flamingo. When that one is mastered all the others are easy. HLP!! Snap it!!
That’s not a stance that’s a drill
@ and what is the purpose of the flamingo drill?
@ coil while going forward
@ and where is the front leg, on the ground or off the ground?
@@coachjavierchavez8098 off the ground. But the vid was talking about stances. Not drills
What happens if my wrists dont have that kinda mobility
For some reason the guy hitting looks like jaun Soto with his haircut
As a Yankees fan I love Aaron judge but it looks like a strike
Blast motion ruined my swing the first year I used it. Got my batspeed up to high 70’s low 80’s (considered high even for MLB hitters), but to do so I needed to take a huge leg kick, and take a Stanton-like linear swing direct to the ball. First month of the year I didn’t get a single hard hit ball, let alone solid base hit. Spent the next month undoing everything I did in the off-season, and ended the year strong. But the blast motion can be really counterproductive if you are just chasing metrics. I do like using it to measure my batspeed in game situations/ live ABs to train intent, and make sure my game swings are as decisive as my bp swings. But yeah, I think batspeed training itself should only be done in competitive hitting environments where you have to recognize pitches and make swing decisions. Otherwise, it’s pretty useless. The point of baseball is to play the game. Not generate useless numbers.
You HLP can be fun AND controversial? I like it even more now 🎉
Would love to hear something about Prime KB if possible, had the wide stance but was so good. Was he a snapper or just relied on athleticism?
Luis Arraez baby!!
He hit .224 in 2022.. and at least a quarter of his homeruns just made it over the short porch at yankee stadium

The part about believing in what your doing is real. Im a former pro powerlifter. When I was still in the game there were 2 really popular/strong gyms here in America. Westside barbell and Big iron gym. 2 insanely different methods/programs. But we battled each other for years in competition. Each gym thought what we were doing was better than the other. Both gyms had many many world record. Trust your process
True in a lot of things
