I went to the cages for the first time in a couple years last week. I used the fundamentals talked about here and was barreling the ball again by the 5th pitch. It’s not just sound fundamentals, it’s being able to rely on them to change your approach at the plate. I was more relaxed and sure of my swing. *The ball stops looking like a pill up there*
He is, I’ve seen it. We can all see it. Teacherman is close. But not quite enough to what the best of the best do. Look at bonds before steroids. He swing is similar to Ohtani. Not close but it’s in the ballpark. Bonds huge physique caused this snap look to his swing. Robotic if you will. Ohtani is lean and his mobility shows in his swing. He thrust his whole body into contact. Very babe Ruth like. I’ve studied for hours. Ohtani swings like the babe. The way his whole body, back and legs thrust into the hit.
My 13 yr old son who is big for his age is a very powerful hitter and we started implementing this technique and now the inside of his elbow is hurting consistently when he swings? is he doing it wrong? it looks just like how you do it.
Knob goes forward? Yes Knob goes up? Yes These happen at the same time. If the knob goes up without going forward, you're screwed. If the knob goes forward without going up, you're screwed. Get the hands through AND turn the barrel.
Just to make sure the newbs, rubes and drubes understand how this works going in, remember that many movements are singled out and exaggerated during training, in order to quickly and effectively show you the movement you are *trying* to accomplish. For everyone who says “XYZ player doesn’t actually swing like that”, understand that you are not trying to exactly replicate every movement verbatim, but rather try to incorporate all of these into an actual swing. Tilting your torso upwards as you rotate about your back leg rather, than swinging your arms about it. I’ve seen people argue that Juan Soto’s home run from the other night proves that this swing doesn’t allow you to hit the high pitch, but his swing can. May I remind you, Juan is an exceptional, top tier athlete with serious strength that allows him to muscle that ball out in ways that most other major leaguers can’t, let alone the average guy watching this video. His homer the other night is NOT a meaningful exception to this swing. The large majority of players who try to swing at that high pitch for power will either whiff, or foul it off, or at best pop it up. The results Soto got with that swing are NOT typical. I will again challenge any of the haters to bring ANY credible dispute to this with RECEIPTS, not just meaningless words.
Teacherman has credibility in shooting pool. Judge and Carpenter don’t even hit like he teaches but he rides their coattails. He is making more soccer players and POs than hitters. Shegone
Hey Rich, I have been having success with my swing and I hit 2 doubles my last game with 3 RBI and a Run, But my coach still wants me to push my bat forward any advice for him to stop bugging me?
The people who hate are people who haven’t hit a 95mph fastball. They may have seen 95 a couple times but never hit it, prolly bragged about fouling it off, if anything🤣those mechanics and little terms don’t work on high level pitching ie “knob to the ball” “squish the bug” “keep your hands inside the ball” “get the front foot down early” “stay to and through”
It's called a right lateral bend. All the best swingers of the stick do a right lateral bend. Doesn't matter if its golf or baseball. Right lateral bend is essential to swinging a stick. It's what keeps the stick on plane. I remember as a kid I was told not to drop my back shoulder when playing baseball. Worst advice I was ever given. Also another way to thin about your move is just keeping the right elbow below the left elbow. That is leverage. (This is all based on right handed swing)
So those 58 home runs and that .332 average throughout the season, you’re saying none of that was elite pitching? Ooooorrrrrr.. you’re a drube who thinks momentary slumps are caused by faulty swing mechanics that he’s been using for years? These comments are just hopelessly confused.

Who's Freddie Freeman's hitting coach?
Ohtani almost looks like he lifts his lead elbow. His speed thru the zone is insane. He’s definitely doing something different than everyone else

i mean the knob does go through anyway when you rotate
I said it once and ill say it again diagonal bat path. Dont have to add all the other fluff.
What if it’s a high-pitched just asking because I’m good with low pitches, but high pitches I can’t hit for some reason

Could you please state your expertise in the subject of hitting?
@terryjones3527 I don’t have the strong credentials here, Teacherman here does. Act accordingly.

@terryjones3527 Is that you wannabe Iron Mike? 🤣🤣
No. Another baseball guy with tons of experience.

Keep producing…nod and keep doing what you’ve been doing, tell him to piss off
cant sit you if you keep hitting. But if that's the only success youve had recently then you probably just got lucky.
Why does ur main client and claim to fame aaron judge, have a 28 percent career strikeout rate.
Judge is not swinging one legged
Yes he is
Can I get contact info to schedule lessons?
Does anyone know how to get in contact with teacherman?

Try swinging with your left elbow below your right elbow. It’s impossible
Go teach Judge not to disappear against elite pitching
This shit doesn't work against elite pitching. You have to swing down.
So those 58 home runs and that .332 average throughout the season, you’re saying none of that was elite pitching?

@@Johnfisher12345 Judge doesn't swing like your hero teaches. You must be confused. Judge does have more strikeouts than hits in his career though.
@@justinrobertson8681 never swing down level and slightly up...find a Ted Williams video on utube listen to him talk about hitting or even Tony Gwynn
Haters gonna lose their minds on this one. 😂

Perfect comment 😮
Got my popcorn ready 🍿
Judge just struck out again.
Lol look at his “barrel” at contact. His lead arm is at his eyes and bent at a 90 degree angle. You will NEVER see this in the mlb
Judge needs you right now he looks lost up in LA !!
He worked with judge....enough said! Did wonders for him???
@@kevinnoll4745 he started working with Judge after he hit 52 hrs and was ROY. Enough said
lol this is horrible. It’s a quicker move to hit fly balls. You have zero control over the bat doing this move. It’s a swing and hope move.
