I’m watching this as a golfer and this is EXACTLY what high level golf coaches are teaching. Coil, different tilts, staying back for proper lower body movement. Nice work. Not surprising to see your hitters crushing it
Yeah no doubt. He’s giving out free information. I tell my son some of it is going to sound crazy to some, because it’s so different. But he’ll be ahead of the curve.
He's a lefty but his videos are filmed in reverse, probably because most hitters are righties. So to him, it's towards the SS. For righties it's towards the 2B.
Hi Teach, thank you for your videos & useful information. ONE QUESTION FOR YOU: Do you recommend a certain bat grip over others for the hitting style that you teach? In other words: Door knocking knuckles aligned, or the box grip, or something in between the two? I ask because I've been trying your type of swing that you teach, that hand pivot supination technique, I've been hitting some balls of the tee like that and experimenting with different grips and it definitely feels different depending on the grip I use -with the door knocking knuckles aligned, my hand and wrist action feels looser and easier to recruit into the swing. The box grip feels more limited in range of motion but might be more conducive for moving the bat in that uppercut-like upwards angle that you teach. I feel like I could get used to either way with enough practice, but before investing more time into it, I wanted to know which grip you prefer.
Good session. The takeaway of coil/uncoil vs coil/tilt is important - do not ignore it. And even pro hitters drive me nuts when they try to load, coil, tilt etc., all at once. That defeats the purpose of loading and erases the opportunity to time the pitch.
oooh I know a perfect drill for you. so basically, there's this drill called the Barry Bonds drill, what you do is your normal mechanics, but beat the ball into the ground as hard as you can. It's the drill that originally got Yelich raking and it really helps with this problem.
100% no.....the best of the best hitters keep balance and do not uncoil with the majority of their weight on the back side. Chest should be over the hips, front knee flexed, and plant foot heal on the ground.
What about Jeter and griffey. Watch their swing. They uncoil. Jeter only hit for an, above.300 AB with, 3,000+ Griffey is the best swing in the game and, they ended up in the, HOF the first time around with, near 100% votes. Would it be better to say, the best hitter's develop a way to swing which, includes what the video is talking about.
yes, especially if you hit off the tee. If you tilt too much, then you are bound to swing across your body which you don't want. Try to stay tall in your swing, it will get you a cleaner and smoother bat path that is quick and efficient.

That was awesome technical stuff !!!! How abt timing & rhythm of hitter that can match with pitcher ?
Best hitting coach in the Game🔥
No doubt about that!!!!!! The best ever!!!

Does your batting concept lessen or eliminate Slump6s ?? or what can you explain about slumps
Pointed at shortstop or second baseman?
I'm not sure why but all his videos are reversed. So he was actually demonstrating left handed (point to SS)

I believe right handed hitters point to 2nd baseman and left to ss
Yep can tell by flags in background I was wondering same thing
As far as trying to teach the swing would it be advantageous to just tell them to think about the merry go round the Ferris wheel and tilt ??
Would love to get lessons from you, love watching these videos and putting them in action
Gary Sheffield used to used this method right?

Can you do a breakdown of manny machado hitting mechanics
Ok, so does the wrist snap happen before the tilt or at the same time? Which one starts the swing
I also wonder that, he's probably addressed it in another video but not sure.
He's said multiple times the snap starts everything
The best to ever teach it! 🤙🏾
I wonder if Teacherman wears Wrangler jeans?

Let’s go another vid may i ask for a vid to stop hitting under the ball and getting no barrel

Ohtani kinda has a golf swing. Really moves hips laterally
Is it possible to tilt to much?
I’ve also been having the same question…
