HOW TO DECLUTTER THE HARD STUFF, SUCH AS SENTIMENTAL ITEMS. This is how I revisit and question my sentimental items. Questioning why I have chosen to keep them. Using grounding and sentience to feel whether I have attachment still and why. Furthermore questioning the why of letting it go also. Is the why, simply because I can? because it's a burden or because I no longer feel something from its presence in this material world. Throughout this video I will show my process... In a hope that it may help you declutter some of the harder things to part with... that is if you need or want to? ________________________________________ MINIMALIST POETRY, HAIKU & TANKA 🔥 ‘The Rivers of Fire’ Now available to buy from My RUclips Shop for $8 ⬇️ sagelife-shop.fourthwall.com/?source=dashboard Digital Download. I love that each piece has it own story 🥹 my favorite one is the cute book 📚 the little horse looks better on the table. He lives 🐎 there better than in the box 🥰 Have a good day ♥️
I really liked your criteria for letting go of a sentimental item - comparing the feelings from your GOAT sentimental items to ones you weren’t sure about. It’s so easy to view sentimental items with historical feelings or project future feelings on to them - and also the “shoulds “ - i should keep these because other people would do so, etc. i love seeing your processes for different items.
Thank you for sharing your process! It will be helpful for many to see it. A few years ago, I went through this process and decluttered all sentimental items. I kept nothing from my childhood (it was a great childhood), but took pictures of my kids' cards/drawings, then discarded. No jewelry - lost my wedding ring a decade ago, but I don't need it to let me know I'm happily married 😆 I love the freedom from attachment to the physical items, and keep them in my heart 🤍
The only sentimental items I have are: the ID bracelets my daughter and me had in the hospital when she was born 12 years ago, the plane boarding passes when I emigrated from my country to the other side of the world (which was my dream my entire life), a few of my daughter’s drawings, 3 love letters from my partner and that’s it. The good thing is that since they are papers, they are quite flat. I do intend to keep them, however if for some reason they were lost or damaged, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. I’m not particularly attached to any material or physical objects.
Well done- love the horse :D definitely agree that when you go back to something to declutter and you feel that energy is kinda not their (or joy once had has passed) had this a lot with some things recently where I kept on the first round of decluttering but now not :D btw moo 🐄😊 x
I love your channel, thank you for all your thoughts, you are such a frank person. I am still on my way in minimalism, well sentimental stuff I keep at maximum I would say :-D Aren´t you afraid, when you grow old you get melancholic and would like to go through all the memories physically touching them? That is something I am afraid I would miss.
Thank You. I use to think about that. But I think sometimes as we move through life sometimes we have taken those memories so far into ourselves. That we don’t need the objects anymore. Perhaps the opposite is also true. Whilst ever the memories are still close to us that’s what makes us attached. Or indeed if it is from a a person/ creature that has passed. It’s attachment because we know it’s their last material possession. I keep 1 tiny talisman 🧿 from anyone I have truly cared about. To ground me with their memory. I don’t need to. But I like to. The rosettes weren’t about anything I loved. But mainly pride. That’s why I have chosen to let them go 🕊️ 🏆 😊
@@SagelifeMinimalism Oh wow! 😮 Thanks for the research. 🙏❤️ A couple of months ago I made myself an amber necklace, plus earrings, that I look forward to wearing this fall. (It’s way too hot and humid here in the summer for me to wear necklaces.)
Thank You ☺️ I’m afraid it’s a very complicated process but I add CC subtitles. You may be able to install an app for RUclips that automatically translates my CC subtitles for you 🇹🇷 😊

If it brings you joy, keep it! 💜 It's ok to keep things purely for joy. 😊 Those amber earrings are gorgeous!
Thank you 😊

That is how I feel also… I keep them whilst ever they fit in this small 7cmx7cm jewellery box. But really I have the memories in my mind. 🕊️
Love what you did with the amethyst candle holder, and needless to say that the Wabi Sabi table is one of my favorite pieces.
😂 😂 I thought you’d be happy with that Melanie 😊

Never thought that’s why I might love amber so much (the ancient tree sap). I’m a tree/forest🌲🌲🌲lover.
😊 🌲 🌳 🙌 It’s amazing isn’t it
@@SagelifeMinimalism Yes ❤️🌲
@Amyavalon1844 I was researching that pieces of amber are 30 - 90 million years old. It will be here long after us 😊 I enjoy that fact 🤷♀️ 😊 🌳 🌲

I love the Buddha. If you want to rehome him I'll give him a home 😂
Thank you ☺️

Give the Buddha to your mom.
I could 😊
