Can you imagine young dude back in the day,I was a teen and hadThe Beatles, Zeppelin, Floyd, Yes, The Who! All coming at me at the same time!!! I am so blessed and now you are too!
Totally on point. Love this song so much I've watched a half dozen reaction videos (I am old, was actually AT this concert). Worst sin on YT reaction videos? Interrupting possible the best live guitar solo of the 20th century. Giving this dude big props - he just let himself get carried away by the cascading music.
It helps to start at the beginning and listen to the story. True, individual songs are classics but they progress the story. I believe pretty much everything after Dark Side was a concept album.
When I watch reaction videos to this masterpiece and they lose it at the first guitar solo, I’m like “Dude, you have NO idea what you’re heading into” ❤️
There are so many guitar legends out there , some of them past away, some of them are still around. David Gilmores style of playing will never be copied, never ever.
There are so many guitar legends out there , some of them past away, some of them are still around. David Gilmores style of playing will never be copied, never ever.
He sings with it. And he's also a good singer (especially harmonising with Rick Wright). Want to feel jealous? He also plays keyboards and drums on other people's records.
Within the last 3 minutes, there is point, where your brain tells you "Stop, I can't take it anymore" .But your soul is forcing you, to continue. Thanks for that special moment in your reaction. You felt it. Thumbs up
I'm 53 now i remember running round in the school playground singing "Another Brick In The Wall". For some strange reason the anti school sentiment struck a chord with 9 year old me lol.
I’m new here just stumbled on your reaction. See it was 2 years ago. Hope fully you have seen the other songs played at this same concert. High Hopes Sorrow. Learn to Fly. Great gig in the sky and a few more. All are over the top outstanding mesmerizing performances you won’t forget. And it all happened almost 30 years ago. Amazing !
I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION… I have seen Pink Floyd 4 times. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all. I met David Gilmour in 1984 back stage at a concert in Hollywood Calif. He gave me a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know, and I know all the great ones.
The combination of Gilmour's soulful guitar, Wright's musical environments, Mason's innovative, precise and well-tailored drumming, and Waters' amazing lyrics was a magic that I fear may never come again.
Seems like I've read this comment before on another reaction vid, congrats bud lucky lucky you, the best I've done was to get to Earl's Court for this concert but nothing like you, I do have a friend who goes to everything he can here in the UK and he even hitched over to Berlin for Roger Waters and the Wall when he did his massive concert, he has met all of the band members and has even had a lengthy conversation with SYD's sister Rosemary who he found himself sitting beside at some performance ( front row) lucky so and so.
I LOVE watching younger generations dig on what I grew up on. Talent is talent, and speaks to everyone, regardless of genre. People need to experience music from all over the spectrum THAT is a diversity that make us strong.
The genius of Pink Floyd is unmatched. They are a genre all to their own. Check out Sorrow and High Hopes from this concert. Another "live perfection" performance is Led Zeppelin's Celebration Day performance of "Kashmir". BTW. That's not just "what you call a solo"...that's what you call the greatest solo of all time by the GOAT guitarist--Gilmour!
Pink Floyd. Dave’s guitar and vocal work, Rogers lyrics and bass, Rick’s keyboards, Nick’s drums. Legendary. We hold classical musicians like Beethoven, Mozart etc in high esteem. Pink Floyd should be addressed in the same fashion.
The second solo of this song is mankind's greatest achievement. It's not even a solo, it's four minutes in which the listener ascends to heaven. It's absolutely soul piercing
Still one of the greatest live performances of this lifetime. You won't ever see a band like this again. They were unique and spectacular. The talent in this band was beyond human and they poured it all out in all of their live shows.
David Gilmour's iconic talent has spanned decades, and, in combination with Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and Roger Waters... well, it is a rare moment indeed. Nothing like it. Nothing....
You just witnessed 3 members of Pink Floyd from the 1960’s put on a spectacular performance. Their 1994 light show technology probably crushes anything from 2021.
I was there and the sad thing is that unless you were there you cannot experience it through their Olympic stadium size quadraphonic sound system. Another level.
The whole damn thing is... "One of These Days" is sick! Like I said, he needs to just watch the entire thing and break it up into multiple reaction videos.
That's DAVID GILMORE, and yes, it's his pure voice that tells the story as his guitar takes you to the magical places you haven't imagined yet. #GreatestGuitarSolo 👊🏻❤
Late reaction to your vid, but love this band. Floyd is by far one of the best rock bands of all time. Suggestion: look for local Pink Floyd laser light shows and go. Sit back, take a journey and get lost in some amazing music.
Pink Floyd is otherworldly. They take you to another place and time when you hear them. Truly one of the best live performances I've ever seen. React to more Pink Floyd, please!
There are bands, then there is Pink Floyd, there are singers then there is David gilmour, the entire package is more than the sum of anything you've ever experienced! You are right and your assessment that it is magical, Pink Floyd gently takes your soul out of your body and places it on a cloud, and when you hear their music you just float away, your soul just dances from cloud to cloud with each note played that is the magic of Pink Floyd.
No one plays guitar quite like David Gilmour. The emotion, feel, and expressiveness of Gilmour is unmatched by any other Rock guitarist imo. I've been a Pink Floyd fan since the release of their 'Dark Side of the Moon' album in 1973, I was 17 years old att. Pink Floyd was/is a Rock band formed in London in 1965. They have sold more albums than any other band in history, (450 million!), except for The Beatles, who are #1 at over 600 million albums. If you love guitar solos there's more from Gilmour, from this Pulse concert. like 'Sorrow', 'High Hopes', Learning to Fly', and many more just from that show.
Saw this in Vancouver '94. Sat right next to soundboard (halfway back), and the mirror ball opened up right above my head. I've seen over 600 concerts since '73. This concert is in my Top 5 of all time.
I was at that show too! Saw both shows. My favorite band since 75. I've seen them 5 times, including the Wall Tour. Bought my first ever music album which was Dark Side of the Moon when I was 8 in 75. Very cool you were next to the mirror ball!
When you listen to a David Gilmour solo, you are hearing the pure language of his soul pour out through his guitar, and it is powerful, and beyond beautiful.
Classic Floyd. At a PF concert there are no bad seats. They make every part of the arena a part of the show. They will always be the kings of the stage. Great reaction!
There's an unseen power in this music that you feel and experience that lifts your soul and takes you up above consciousness. You're on your way brother.
Dave Gilmour is not only my favourite guitarist but also his voice is incredible and often overlooked. He has the most soothing, beautiful singing voice.
David rips his heart and soul, serves it directly to ours, deeply out of deepness and leaves us rethinking our existence. This is how the music is supposed to speak to us.
First rule : Keep your eyes open for the entire performance. The lights are Highly choreographed with the music to amplify and magnify the emotions in the music. You want to bring this full circle. Watch and react to David Gilmour Live in Pompeii concert. For the Pulse concert he was in his late 40s. For Pompeii Gilmour was in his 70s. A 70 yr old man in a black Tshirt taking the whole world to school and teaching them what music is supposed to be. He performs all of Pink Floyd's Supreme hits with his own band. Performing in the Oldest amphitheater on the planet.
My friend, what a great reaction. You could really tell that you weren’t just ‘listening’ to it; you were truly HEARING it, FEELING it. I loved watching. Legend has it that Dave Guilmore (the lead guitarist AND singer) doesn’t plug his electric guitar into an Amplifier; he plugs it into his SOUL…. Btw, Dave Guilmore was born and grew up literally 5 minutes from where I live, here in the UK! Not that I ever knew him or anything, sadly… Much respect and peace, from ‘Across the Pond’!! 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🍻
Pink Floyd were the at the forefront of being the best touring band in the world each time they headed out .. They sorced the best sound equipment and the best lighting and effects available to bring the audience nothing they've ever experienced before .. Perfection on the bands behalf was a must . .
I've been listening to this for over 40 years And it always takes me back to my bedroom at 8 years old listening to this song the 1st time when I see a younger generation like this guy appreciating it the same
Now damnit, this is a reaction of the year candidate!! Dude, such a great reaction of the whole Pulse experience, enjoying both sight and sound!! And your comments on David’s voice is spot on!! Most comment on his ethereal guitar playing, but that voice, it’s truly the voice you want to hear whilst breathing your last breaths!! Made my day Brotha!!
The most interesting comment was; "it's like a spirit talking to me". Yes. Having been a musician for 55 years, I feel some musicians and bands are definitely inspired by Spirits. I'll just leave that.......there.
Listen Man! Listen shirts here!

SECOND! JK. Love you, man!
How many subs do you already have???
Great reaction , loved it !! NEW SUB !! Now if you want do ; " THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY " from the same concert dude , You gonna spaz !! peace
Can you imagine young dude back in the day,I was a teen and hadThe Beatles, Zeppelin, Floyd, Yes, The Who! All coming at me at the same time!!! I am so blessed and now you are too!
Man; whatever genre of music you like, if you don't at least appreciate the musicianship of this then you have no soul
Can we give this man some love for not pausing the video during the guitar solo? Just sat back and enjoyed it, phenomenal reaction!❤️
Definitely!
Exactly!
Nothing....but love!!!
Word.
That not just a guitar solo...that's THE guitar solo!
It is indeed the guitar solo of all solos....
The MOTHER of all guitar solos...
You do not listen to Pink Floyd, you experience it.
And you experience album by album, and that’s the best part
Great way to put it...
It helps to start at the beginning and listen to the story. True, individual songs are classics but they progress the story.
I believe pretty much everything after Dark Side was a concept album.
Yep, and I've experienced vem since Point me to the Sky on John Peel radio show
When I watch reaction videos to this masterpiece and they lose it at the first guitar solo, I’m like “Dude, you have NO idea what you’re heading into” ❤️
David Gilmour does not simply play the guitar. He tells a story with it.
He makes it sing.
I agree
There are so many guitar legends out there , some of them past away, some of them are still around. David Gilmores style of playing will never be copied, never ever.

Well said bro.
Pink Floyd isn’t a band or artists or even just music, it’s a whole vibe in itself 💖💖
So well put.
You are the woman for me Wendy
The "pink floyd" is bigger than all of us.
It’s lovely to see successive generations finding Pink Floyd. They are timeless. Trust me, it never gets old.
Music unites us! We are together through the tunes!!
just touches your soul
This IS the greatest solo of all time. It could go on for another 10 or 15 minutes & it still wouldn't be too long.
I'm 44 and I heard them when I was a kid. They just magically touched me.
I'm 53 now i remember running round in the school playground singing "Another Brick In The Wall". For some strange reason the anti school sentiment struck a chord with 9 year old me lol.
Pink Floyd is life changing music!
I’m so glad you enjoyed this. It’s one of the greatest rock performances of all time. It’s a very important song to rock fans.
Pink Floyd is just at another level perfection personified!!
Your feeling it right where you're supposed to feel it.
This is where the degradation of today’s music becomes so painfully obvious.
yep if you havent hear d of a band called Nightwish chek out Ghost Love Score Live at Wacken 2013 They certainly can bring it
Find more music. There are diamonds in the mountains. You just have to look.👀😌
@@carebear1143 Oh yeah Nightwish is such a diamond
Oh I know they’re out there. But you have to really look. Whereas this was “mainstream” back then
There are some pretty impressive bands out there now. Mostly in the metal genres. Can’t say the same for popular music.
Amazing !
Welcome my friend to the folks who understands Pink Floyd.
I was able to see Pink Floyd twice. Tampa Fl....Momentary Lapse of Reason....Clemson Sc....Division Bell.....Awesome shows!
Consider yourself blessed for hearing this guitar solo.
I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. Welcome to the machine my friend.....
David's voice is haunting. His solos are soul lifting.
That was Mr. David Gilmour. He is one of the most emotive guitarists of all time.
David Gilmore is a legend!
Gilmour
Gilmour
Third time lucky? Gilmour.
A third is quite something, but a FOURTH? Sheeeesh. Gilmour
G I L M O U R - How can you be a massive fan of someone and NOT know how to spell their name? I suppose you like The Beetles too, do you?
David Gilmour is a highly underrated singer. And one of the greatest guitar players ever.
you can't rate this man... that's not possible
great song.
Pink Floyd...........Now there's rabbit hole
I LOVE watching younger generations dig on what I grew up on. Talent is talent, and speaks to everyone, regardless of genre. People need to experience music from all over the spectrum THAT is a diversity that make us strong.

Sorrow and One of These Days from this concert really blow my socks off.
Run like Hell .
Absolutely agree!
All Pink Floyd is magical!
Do Shine on Crazy Diamond, Time, Wish You Were Here 🌻
Pink Floyd. Dave’s guitar and vocal work, Rogers lyrics and bass, Rick’s keyboards, Nick’s drums. Legendary.
We hold classical musicians like Beethoven, Mozart etc in high esteem. Pink Floyd should be addressed in the same fashion.
Don't worry, Beethoven would be highly pleased to hear where Pink Floyd has gone.
The second solo of this song is mankind's greatest achievement. It's not even a solo, it's four minutes in which the listener ascends to heaven. It's absolutely soul piercing

Great reaction! i been listening to this song for over 50 years and it still brings me to tears.
totally feel that
Dark side of the Moon , the album. You will feel better somehow after listening. Good show my friend, honest.
“Sorrow”…”One of These Days”…anything from this concert! 🔥🎶🔥
The best guitar solo ever from the best band in history. Pink Floyd send more people to space than NASA
Haze, you often say 'Hold Up' and you are 100% correct. This solo performance will HOLD UP as the best live performance known to man!!
I was there and the sad thing is that unless you were there you cannot experience it through their Olympic stadium size quadraphonic sound system. Another level.
If this performance doesn’t rip your soul out, you’re dead
Yes he was singing and killing it on the guitar. Pink F doesn't disappoint ever. And I love your reactions.
My first wife was at this very concert. She got to go to pink floyd twice.
I love your soul and enthusiasm, don't ever change that.
Run like Hell from the same concert is quite brilliant
The whole damn thing is...
"One of These Days" is sick!
Like I said, he needs to just watch the entire thing and break it up into multiple reaction videos.
Run Like Hell live from Pompei in 2016 is even better.
Solo for your Soul!
Thank you for finally listening to everything you needed to hear. Just remember the gateway to heaven is GOD , JESUS, and PINK FLOYD , thats it.
That's DAVID GILMORE, and yes, it's his pure voice that tells the story as his guitar takes you to the magical places you haven't imagined yet.
#GreatestGuitarSolo 👊🏻❤
First time I ever sparked up my bro handed me the headphones and said listen to this
Magical.
2 very different songs from the Kinks LOLA and FRIDAY ON MY MIND.....PLEASE they are worth looking up
When you are comfortably numb is the best time to hear that incredible underrated guitar solo. Love the Floyd.
That solo brings tears to my eyes every time and I've heard it many, many, many times in decades.
Late reaction to your vid, but love this band. Floyd is by far one of the best rock bands of all time. Suggestion: look for local Pink Floyd laser light shows and go. Sit back, take a journey and get lost in some amazing music.
You’re not tripping! His voice is like silk. Still is to this day!
this what happen when you forget to give the lighting guy a budget...
Pink Floyd is otherworldly. They take you to another place and time when you hear them. Truly one of the best live performances I've ever seen. React to more Pink Floyd, please!
the unique part of Pink Floyds music is that no matter what mood you're in, Pink Floyd always works. Great reaction man keep it up
I saw them live in Sydney Australia in 1985, best concert of all time, blew my mind. Love from Australia.
There is a basic law in music, Pink Floyd is not music, it is an experience and never interrupt David Gilmore singing or playing a guitar solo.

So extremely true
High hopes are my favorite ❤️
Love this video man. Great!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm a beatles fan through and through but this song is the best live performance I have ever seen. Well done Dave Gilmour, (Singer and Guitar player).
PF used the same studio as the Beatles when they recorded Abbey Road.
Check out the whole concert you will put beatles #2
Beatles? No, thanks! No match with Pink Floyd!
David Gilmour's solos are my daily meditation. Seriously... Welcome to the show.

Love watching first reactions to the greatest live guitar solo ever.
Josuke man...japanese manga artist made me love this song twice as much
The anthem of the emoitionally RELAXED
There's an unseen power in this music that you feel and experience that lifts your soul and takes you up above consciousness. You're on your way brother.
You are watching...a Master...and a Masterwork. The most magical.
Dave Gilmour is not only my favourite guitarist but also his voice is incredible and often overlooked. He has the most soothing, beautiful singing voice.
When David Gilmore’s guitar sings the 2nd half of the song 🔥
David rips his heart and soul, serves it directly to ours, deeply out of deepness and leaves us rethinking our existence. This is how the music is supposed to speak to us.
It takes you on a real mind blowing trip. That is how their music is. Soul experience
First rule : Keep your eyes open for the entire performance. The lights are Highly choreographed with the music to amplify and magnify the emotions in the music. You want to bring this full circle. 'What the hell am I watching?'....Pink Floyd. Being blown away is normal:).
Not that I ever knew him or anything, sadly…
Much respect and peace, from ‘Across the Pond’!! 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🍻
Great reaction, this is just talent absolute genius. Floyd are wonderful
Pink Floyd were the at the forefront of being the best touring band in the world each time they headed out .. In the Light by Led Zeppelin.
Pink Floyd is timeless music and will never die.

Watch the Pompeii concert. They show more guitar work 😁
Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann.
Great reaction! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I never get tired of this performance. Talent is off the charts. The light show is fantastic too.
So lovely to hear young people appreciate genius
Now damnit, this is a reaction of the year candidate!! Dude, such a great reaction of the whole Pulse experience, enjoying both sight and sound!! And your comments on David’s voice is spot on!! Most comment on his ethereal guitar playing, but that voice, it’s truly the voice you want to hear whilst breathing your last breaths!!
Made my day Brotha!!
You're a blast to watch, dude...welcome to my world, back in the day...63-year-old grandpa, absolutely my favorite song of all time!!!
The most interesting comment was; "it's like a spirit talking to me". Yes. Having been a musician for 55 years, I feel some musicians and bands are definitely inspired by Spirits. I'll just leave that.......there.
This is my FAVORITE Pink Floyd song EVER!
When you started talking about his voice I was thinking… wait til you hear his solo at the end.
Brings Tears Every Time!
