Right on! They played Oakland Coliseum on this tour. Friends camped out in tents to get the tickets. The mirror ball flower thingy came up from the floor and started turning and completely opened. Our minds were blown. Young and old. Lifetime fan.⚡️ Whoa. Just checked and footage exists. I’m always surprised when I see videos of concerts I went to.

I saw this concert in Dallas with my son at the old Cowboys stadium. It was just as amazing as you think it is. The problem with seeing a concert like this is that it makes it difficult to go and watch a concert made by mere mortals. I mean how can anyone surpass this? Some bands will come close, but I have yet to see anyone surpasses it.

That thing that's spinning is a rotating Leslie speaker. When you spin a powerful speaker it gives a more three-dimensional sound and is kind of a surrounding sound or surround sound!!
Not only do they encircle the audience with speakers behind the audience in front of the audience and on both sides, but they have those rotating speakers on stage and if you've ever been to a live Pink Floyd show you'll never hear something that is more enveloping and they basically put you inside a giant set of headphones!!!

Saw that tour at RFK stadium in DC. They had 3 stages. One being disassembled at the last show. The stage they were playing on and one being erected at the next stadium. Speakers around the top, sides and back of the stadium. The sounds moved around inside like some kind of magic. It was special. The laser show above the crowd, stadium and into the sky were a trip. The stage looked like a lava lamp with musicians in the void of space. The awesomeness will be in my memory until i no longer exist. Watch the entire concert when you get a chance. It will stir emotions right out of your soul. Please take the time.

The big disco ball is highly symbolic.
First of all, it wasn't seen until the lights spotted it. It was simply not there! Hidden in a box in the ceilling. So when it got lit, you can understand why the audience went wild.
And then, when it opened up and showed the shining diamond that's inside, a direct reference to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (which refer to Syd Barrett), the fans understood!
    Genius!
What's more? This is one of the 3 songs they in the « encore ».

I'm so glad that younger generations are still listening to Pink Floyd. Please keep spreading the word to your friends. I began listening to Floyd in the 70s. One of my biggest regrets in life is not going to see them on April 5, 1994 at Rice Stadium in Houston 😞. Somebody actually offered me a ticket, but i knew that the weather was supposed to be bad that day. Rice Stadium is an open-air stadium and on the day of that concert it was raining hard. It became known as the RAIN LIKE HELL SHOW. Be careful what opportunities you turn down.

Pink Floyd absolutely hits in a spiritual way. That's how almost all their songs are. For an out of body experience I highly recommend Great Gig in the Sky from this same concert (Pulse). It's absolutely beautiful. The studio version is also great, but the live version is something else altogether. 💗🖖🏽

Floyd fan for 40 years. Seen Pink Floyd live twice and Roger Waters once. Although I enjoyed the live concerts -- Maybe my brain reacts to their studio material at home and in the car the best. The first time I heard the song on the album "The Wall" I probably played it over and over at least 25 times. A year earlier I bought an Accutrac turntable that was programmable and you could play anything over and over again. I was so glad I didn't have to get up and replace the tone arm 25 times. I had a rule that a new album had to be played all through. I broke that rule that night. Enjoyed your reaction!

Great reaction young man. Love it! I’ll be the first to admit. This song? For me I love watching but closing eyes and just taking in the pure talent and to bring this song to life. The guitar solo is beyond epic. The lighting, the whole band, the bass and drums. The vocals but him playing guitar is out of this world and the ball reminds me of a lotus flower. Could you imagine being in the crowd? Walking away in bliss and knowing you eyes and mind may never feel this way again live. You could close eyes and remember until your last day. Thank you for this.

You're a good man Stax, thanks for the little encouragements for all. You'll continue to enjoy and experience PF. Anything from this 1994 Pulse concert for their live performances (Wish You Were Here, Great Gig in the Sky, One of These Days - are just some suggestions). For studio version songs, please do Shine on You Crazy Diamond (Both parts - split if needed), Us and Them, Hey You, are all good starters. Whenever you do any studio versions, have the lyrics, maybe a little research on the song, but never any "official" videos with them, as they distract from the experience. Cheers.

“Something about Pink Floyd just hits different.”
    That’s because they are different.
There has never been another band like Pink Floyd. And there never will be.
This band took every rule in the book for making rock music, and turned them all upside down. Reinventing music from the ground up.

THE GUITAR LEADS SOUND GREAT AS USUAL WITH HIS "DELAY/REVERB" SYSTEM THAT ADD TO THE MYSTIC! THAT MIGHT BE AN UPDATED VERSION OF A SPEAKER SPINNING THAT WAS CALLED A "LESLIE SPEAKER" MOSTLY USED WITH KEYBOARDS. OF COURSE, MANY USE THEM FOR GUITAR TOO. NOT SURE AS THEY HAVE SO MUCH GOING AS USUAL IN THEIR LIVE PERFORMANCES. STEPPENWOLF MADE THEM FAMOUS IN THE LATE '60'S IN SONGS LIKE "BORN TO BE WILD" AND OTHERS. LOVE KEYBOARDS/ORGAN.

Those small steps is everything! I love the small steps. Build a car from scratch. Fix up a house. Win over a girl. All experiences that are worth salt in this life come from the journey of small steps. The richness in life lives insode those small steps and it makes the results more enriching. .---. Santana is touring right now. I think you would really enjoy all his motivational messaging between songs. He talks to the crowd and says little things that motive and inspire. You walk way feeling blessed, happy and positive. But I don't know if you have ever reacted to Carlos Santana.

I would love to see you react to an entire Pink Floyd album- dark side of the moon is a great one to start with. Each song stands alone with Pink Floyd, but they’re made to flow together, almost like one experience with lots of big experiences along the way, if that makes sense? Prince is the same- amazing songs individually but listen to the entire album and it’s just a soul grabbing experience.

I went to see this show live in Dallas in 1994 with my now wife. But the story is weirder because my friend in high school was into her and I never knew. I asked her on the date. She agreed. He went too but without a date. Odd. That's why I'm crying now. Tears of joy.
