    Hugs to all vata dominant people.
    One important tip to those who want to balance their dosha(vata pitta or kapha) Don't identify yourself with your imbalance. Remember both positives and negative qualities come with 3 doshas and all three are desirable in there right places. Identification makes you stick with your aggravated doshas can slow the progress if you want to be in a balanced healthy state (from my personal experience)

    This video actually brought me to tears. Have just discovered this practice and learnt about Vata recently after years of anxiety, general feelings of being unsettled with life and all of the physical attributes that come with Vata. I honestly feel like this explains so much more than western medicine could comprehend. Feeling inspired. Namaste

      Vicky Carle l agree!..and once l found Ayurveda l have been able to accept myself better, because l think that Ayurveda accepts us all, identifies our strengths and how to ameliorate the aspects of our behaviour which can cause problems for ourselves and the people around us, regardless of our dosha’s!...

      I SO agree with you. I just learned I am Vata today and am crying because I finally understand why I’ve been feeling so imbalanced. I haven’t been kind to my Vata type body, but I feel like I finally have a direction to go to change my life and finally feel peace.

    "Forgetting just as quickly"...this describes my life! Learn quickly and easily, but forget quickly! Never ask me the details to a conversation, whether it was months or 5 minutes ago! However, I am an intuitive healer, and perceive subtle qualities in air or environment, and energies within the body naturally. Also, I am attracted to raw vegan lifestyle, and while this can be beneficial to cleanse the colon and organs, it must be done outside the stresses of everyday life-because I need lots of rest when cleansing, and my digestion is the first thing to start suffering(gas, bloating, pain) when the slightest bit of stress begins to accumulate. Hope this is helpful to someone learning about themselves that can relate to my own investigations :)

    • @bbeeaauu
      @bbeeaauu 4 года назад +1

      I recognize in this as well. Feeling drawn to raw and vegan even though I see a lot of recommendations for dairy and warm foods to pacify vata aggravation. How do you balance this?

    • @raghav4690

    • @somuchsolittle
      @somuchsolittle 4 года назад +2

      @@bbeeaauu I am also drawn to the raw/vegan diet because of the lightness I feel and because I would prefer to eat as compassionately as possible, but I get pretty spun out of whack more easily than most, in a mental/emotional/spiritual sense, to the point of disembodiment/dissociation. I've begun to include sustainably farmed, pasture raised dairy and chicken products (for ethics and highest nutritive quality), counting for maybe 5-10% of my diet on any given day. I think I sense improvement but it hasn't been long enough to really tell. Sorry if that's completely unhelpful, lol.

    • @thespiritualplug__

      I’m the same! An intuitive healer but forget quickly. I smoke weed and sometimes I think that may be the cause too. I’m always talking and then say “what was I just saying” lol. But I’m drawn to a vegan diet, raw or not, just no meat. I’m starting to hate it but I also feel that’s because my frequency is rising.

      I have been doing a raw fruit diet, which is light like a vatta type already is... However i noticed on certain types of fruit - oranges in particular if i tried to juice fast on it in high amounts i noticed a cold and dry feeling in my stomach. Which isnt gas, bloating or pain perse i dont know what the word for it is but it feels cold and uncomfortable in my stomach. I was told being on a raw fruit diet is highly good.. (i did it mainly for detoxing and healing properties)... its strange I noticed it hasn't done so much for me and maybe i should focus on grounding in different areas of my life. Digestion wise i noticed that the fact that the fruits goes through very easily and i feel like i have lots of energy is a great feeling as a raw fruitarian. However there is lots to learn about balancing the doshas... I may have to vary the fruit i eat or only eat them at certain times.

    "do whatever it takes to maintain relaxation"- Amen! This is exactly why I spread my tasks out at work as much as I can and get the job done, because I know myself and coming to know myself, and too many things will affect my sleep at night.

    This small talk had me in tears! Not only am I vata, but I am also a Gemini born on the 11th with moon in Aquarius. Talk about misery! When she spoke about space, I was floored. So freeing to have someone affirm my personality so succinctly. Vatas really will drive themselves batty, and this is the grounding I so desperately needed. When she was speaking of warming foods, I thought back to the huge arguments I would have with my grandmother about having to eat her "heavy" foods. Light, cool/cold foods give me such relief! But, like the speaker said, it's temporary, and then I get depressed. Now that I've seen this video, I can work on a definitive action plan, if I don't forget!

    I have Adhd, coeliac disease, vitligo and spots on my scalp, along with dry skin, dry eyes, dry lips, dry inner body as difficult going to the toilet.... i couldn't make no sense of it? Following find Ayuverda i realise I am over dominant in the vata dosha.
    I have been eating vata pacifying foods the last two to three weeks now and do daily mediation and yoga along with recently starting a daily sesame seed oil allover massage. I'd love to see i'm seeing the benefits and getting better but i still have the spots on my scalp, but i was told they would go first before other things improve. So i'm keeping with it. I was told the spots on my scalp is that the vata as reached the top of my head. So it's going to take more work to balance the vata dosha

      Om Shanti, Katerina 🙏
      Sometimes it can be very challenging to create a new routine in your life! Most important: Be kind to yourself and just try to do something every day. Even when it`s just a very little thing like eating one apple a day or a 5 minute yoga session. As long as you do it every day, your brain will get used to this new routine. We need at least three weeks to strengthen a new habit! Be patient with yourself. 🙏🕉️💜

    i d like to ask : i ve seen many videos and read a lot of texts throughout the web that describe the necessity of movement and being active, including the vata type. if you go to 'chopra center' for example , they explain and I quote 'Our bodies are designed for physical activity'. so i guess my question is , if I am vata type , how can I find the correct balance between what is explained here, "importance of grounding and stability" and we might understand from other blogs and videos . thank you

    "Vata people need a lot of love, care, and pampering"- yes I do. But I also give that.😉
