Update late 2021: Logitech has discontinued the Camera Settings app shown in this video and replaced it with the Logi Tune app. I have a video on the new app at ruclips.net/video/-zb1OIdShFc/видео.html and an article at www.thinkoutsidetheslide.com/late-2021-update-new-app-to-control-logitech-webcam-c920-brio-c922-c930-more/.
I am sure others still haven't used Zoom - you aren't the last one. Zoom and other meeting platforms offer features that personal-focused video calling apps don't have.
Thanks very much for posting this. I just came across this on you tube, it helped me lot to connect my webcam to zoom. I downloaded the zoom app on my Mac mini. And the app you suggested as well . Seems to work ok on my Mac mini. Thanks! I’ve subscribed to your channel.
Dave great video... this allows me to do exactly what I wanted when I bought the webcam... control it on the fly in a Zoom meeting. For me it helps ensure the bright light coming in from the window on my side doesn't ruin my image on the screen. Thanks for posting!
Thank you so much for this. Why is it that this simple solution was so hard to find? Logitech keeps pushing its Logi Capture, which really doesn't work with most other webcam programs. Now that all of the family zooms are over with, I have found your very informative video. Big Thanks.
Thank you for this video! It's just what I needed for my streamyard broadcasts. I knew they had to have something to adjust the camera settings. It use to come altogether with the software. glad I found the answer!
I think they may mention it in the documentation that comes with the camera. Another reason to read what is in the package even though we are excited to attach the camera and start using it.
The biggest difference between the 920 and the 922 as far as I can see is that the 922 allows for a higher frame rate at the 720p resolution which is primarily for gamers. For business usage in Teams and Zoom the 920 is all you will need in my opinion.
Logitech has discontinued the Camera Settings app and replaced it with the Logi Tune app. I have article on how to use this app to control your webcam at www.thinkoutsidetheslide.com/late-2021-update-new-app-to-control-logitech-webcam-c920-brio-c922-c930-more/ and the video should be posted later this week.
Really very simple and useful video. I did this as i saw the video and it works perfectly with Teams! Thanks much. I have a logitech Brio Ultra HD WebCam.
I had the zoom feature on my C920 fixed perfectly using the Logitech G HUB app. Unfortunately after the latest update of Windows, the G HUB totally refuses to adjust the zoom. I was thinking of replacing the whole set up with another camera and new software until I found this helpful way of working round the problem. Thanks!
Dear Dave; Great info. How do I use my brio to show more if my face and less of my surroundings without moving closer to my 42" monitor, as a zoom member, I'm not a leader holding the meeting?
I'm glad you found the video helpful. I suggest you use the Logi Tune app that I describe in this video: ruclips.net/video/-zb1OIdShFc/видео.html. It allows you to zoom in on your face. This works no matter what role you have in the meeting. Hope that helps.
Just want the functionality of the old Logitech webcam software but it isn't compatible with the brio or the hd version. Can't take photos with Logitune or Ghub.
It can be frustrating when companies change the features of the software. The camera app in Windows should allow you to take a photo using the Logitech webcam.
i bought a webcam off marketplace and im having an issue with the colors but when i went to download the website doesnt have "camera settings" as an available downloiad
The Camera Settings app was discontinued and has been replaced by the LogiTune app. You can see my video on the LogiTune app at ruclips.net/video/-zb1OIdShFc/видео.html.
I tried it but doesn't have any option for a download going to that camera setting link. It just says there are no downloads for this version. I'm using C615. I have no idea how to make the camera record? It records the sound but no picture yet it worked on an online interview. Makes no sense?
The app may not be available in all countries, that is up to Logitech. The Camera Settings app does not record video or audio, you will need to use another app like the Windows Camera app for that. Make sure that the camera is not being used by another app as it can only be used by one app at a time. Hope that helps.
The Camera Settings app has been discontinued and replaced by the Logi Tune app. See my video at ruclips.net/video/-zb1OIdShFc/видео.html for info on downloading and using Logi Tune.
I'm glad you found the video helpful. The software in this video has since been discontinued by Logitech. The latest software is LogiTune and my video on it is at ruclips.net/video/-zb1OIdShFc/видео.html
Thanks for the video. I followed your very clear instructions but, unfortunately, clicking the zoom in button did not change my video zoom. That was true while I was in the meeting platform or when I just looked at the video preview within the logitech app. Do you have any troubleshooting suggestions? Thanks again.
I have found the app at times finicky. Sometimes I have to restart it to get all the functions to work. I suggest you also try restarting your computer to see fi that helps. Beyond that I am not sure what to suggest.
@@ThinkOutsideTheSlide Thanks for the quick response and free technical support. I have found that the app works while I am in a Webex meeting but not while I'm in preview mode. I'm sharing this because perhaps other will have the same experience. Thank you again.
It's great! However is there a way that I can save my settings after I have adjusted where I want? Or does it revert back to the original settings each time?
I used to be able to turn off the blue light going to preference, but after update, this function is lost. Is it possible to still turn off the blue light after the latest update?
I can't get the widescreen to zoom, so the greenscreen runs out and I have edges of the normal walls. The settings app does not seem very good. Any thoughts on how to get it to zoom in while on widescreen and I also am blurry and don't see anything to fix that. I would love your thoughts? Thanks
The Camera Settings app has been replaced by the Logi Tune app. I suggest you give that a try instead. I have a video on that app at ruclips.net/video/-zb1OIdShFc/видео.html
Unfortunately the operating systems don't have controls built for the webcam like they do for the audio system so external software is the only option. It does leave corporate users without a way to zoom the webcam. Sorry to not have a better answer.
Problems in Teams: I have downloaded the Control app and restarted my Thinkpad X1 (using Windows 10), but zooming the image from my Logitech Pro C920 neither works "live" in the Capture preview window or in the Settings/Devices Preview window in Teams (which is started before starting the Control app, as instructed). The only thing that appear to work in the Control app is the change between Standard and Widescreen format, neither zooming nor arrows up/down/left/right works! Please guide ASAP!
That was a great, very detailed tutorial. Does the Capture app have to be open to use the Capture video source on a Zoom call? My Capture settings are already configured, do not change or require adjustments. Ideally, it’d be great if Capture ran in background or could pipe saved settings to Teams without requiring both Capture and Zoom apps being open. Thank you.
Both the Camera Settings app and Capture need to be open to control the camera in Teams or Zoom. I agree it would be great if it could adjust the camera and then the camera would remember but that's not the way it works.
@@ThinkOutsideTheSlide Thank you. By “control the camera”, do you mean both update and remember saved Capture settings? I don’t need to update settings, just remember my saved settings. I apologize in advance if perhaps your reply already answered this. Net-Net: can I use Logi Capture for camera in Teams/Zoom AND remember Capture saved settings WITHOUT opening Capture app? It’s understood I wouldn’t be able to edit Capture (saved) configured settings without re-opening the app.
Thanks - this is a very helpful video and frustrating that Zoom makes it so challenging to control your webcam within the app. They should add this functionality...
I'm glad you found the video helpful. It would be nice to see the platforms like Teams and Zoom incorporate this functionality but it may take the operating systems like Windows and MacOS to give them the controls.

Is there a way to flip my Logitech camera up and down (not flip side to side). I'm teaching art virtually and I want the camera in front of me shooting down on the art. The art is upside down and I need to flip it right side up.
That would be nice, but I don't think Logitech webcams can do that today. The only camera I have seen that does that is an Owl camera which is built for meeting rooms.
oh wow love it, the camera even stays inactive when not in use while camera settings is running, that's great. So the only thing missing is a "minimise to system tray icon" feature and auto start option ey? :) Btw. good to know when using in OBS then the set resolution will determine how much can bee zoomed in, e.g. for c920 I had to switch to 720p to get 2 zoom levels while at FHD (1080p) I only can zoom in once! UPDATE: Celebrated too early, the zoom didn't work in MS Teams and when launching camera settings first it then shows the camera without ever stopping, just like logitech capture :( if however first opening teams and using the camera and then running camera settings, the camera feed is only in teams and even after closing teams the camera gets and stays inactive ... the only problem still the controls for zoom don't work. Pitty!
Thanks for sharing your experiences with this. It seems like it behaves slightly differently for some. Part of that may be due to the regular updates in platforms like Teams and Zoom.

Whether the camera connects properly to the computer can be due many different factors. It has happened to me occasionally and I just solve it by restarting the computer.
