Thanks for sharing, David. Video quality is definitely super important to leave a good first impression. Nothing worse than bad camera quality and sketchy sound.
@@hml 720p looks in Zoom Pro looks amazing. Otherwise it will always be 480p, even if the "HD" is clicked. Not talked about enough that Zoom sends in 480p by default unless youre on a paid plan imo
The pink backlight is actually a Phillips Hue Spot, but I found a new favorite light that looks awesome in the background, for just $21: amzn.to/3QxZLg8
Good point, in a setup like that you would have a latency of around 300ms. There are a few ways to work around that - either a virtual camera in OBS, with an audio delay. Or use something like Soundflower (rogueamoeba.com/freebies/soundflower/)
Thank you for the video! Great tips for any budget.
I'm so glad you liked it! I'll do another video soon about my portable setup as well.

Definitely, I think that light and sound is actually a lot more important than camera quality.
Also make sure to buy Zoom Pro to be able to send video quality in 720p. 1080p is only for Business plan users
True, but honestly, with proper blurred background and a good camera, even 720p looks great.

How did you get that nice pink backlight?

Hoped you would talk about sync/latency on both camera and mic

Video voice is extremely important!
Definitely! It came change the call from "can you hear me" to "yeah, let's do it!"
