Hi Andrew - thanks for another how to for the budding zoomer/live streamer. I shoot all my videos using pole mounted lights and camera. In fact I've used a gas lift monitor arm attached to a camera cage to have a floating camera system. Its a parallelogram so the camera always stays in line with the subject. The whole thing cost less than £75 and works great. I'm using a second pole and arm for a monitor and added an arm for my Yeti mic. Keep up the good work. Look forward to the next video. 😃
Hello Paul, that sounds really interesting - would love to see a picture of your set-up! I've just started using these Godox lights after using Aperture lights ( which are expensive ) and I have to say I'm really impressed with the results, the UL ( fan less model ) actually gives better results than my Aperture 120 and it's a fraction of the cost. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. You may also enjoy my friend's channel "Film Booth" another Brit with a really straightforward and entertaining approach to creating video.
@@CourseBuildersAcademy no problem I'll send some through on your email at the end of your excellent free download of this kit you use. Ed ('Film Booth') is a scream! I've watched him for some time now and have applied so many of his ideas to my own channel. Speak soon. 😃
Hi Andrew did you purchase the Nautical Royal Master Search 70" Light Floor Lamp from the same ebay Seller ? It's an expensive one and coming all the way from India ... want to be 100% sure before making that purchase... loving the lamp!!!
Cool video What is the frame rate of the video? I don’t know if it’s my imagination or if it’s a little choppy /low ? Not that it’s bad , it looks great
I'm using Shortgun NTG3 with Zoom H6. I'm also getting "Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen USB Audio Interface". Do I still need Cloudlifter ? Does it do anything better ?
@@suburbanview I tested this out because I don't have a micro hdmi yet, and the video does flow into eCamm with USB, but the quality looks pretty bad compared to my other web cam. Looks like the hi-rez camera needs the hdmi cable.
Wow very well put together professional video. I’m building an interactive workout Studio and this video really helped. Do you have any other video for a virtual fitness setup?
not really, but a lot of the stuff I teach is used by fitness instructors , like setting up cameras, mics, lighting etc and of course using Kajabi to sell it
Thanks for all the helpful videos! When you place the ipad in the teleprompter when doing a zoom call, how do you have the screen mirrored so everything isn't upside down?
Really great video, I am setting up my office. Query: if you are on zoom calls back to back all day will the Sony 'fax number' camera run out of battery? Can it send video whilst simultaneously recharging its little battery?
@@CourseBuildersAcademy OK, but for zoom calls, I thought it was only a live stream and a case of selecting your camera device? Does Ecamm interface with zoom for live streaming?
Hi Andrew - thanks for much for the tour! I've got a question. How much space is between the edge of your desk closest to you and the shelf system on your back wall? I'm also in a small room and it can be kind of tight when I need to go behind the desk to change camera settings.
Thanks so much Andrew! Did you brought this from same seller … Huge and expensive items shipped from India …. I will take your recommendation if you brought this from same seller… thanks in advance!
Hello, I need some advise with my Canon E05 Rebel... It keeps timing out, so there must be a setting on the camera I need to set so I can stream without interruption.
The lower end Canon cameras have a 30 min cut off for video. There are ways around it by installing apps like magic lantern on your camera. But I’ve never used that so you would have to investigate if it would work for you
@@CourseBuildersAcademy I figured out setting causing shut off :) , my next question is I have a Canon Rebel T5i, not sure if' it has "clean HDMI" ? or not? can't locate your source from the video on elgato site ...I have a 4k Cam link...works great just can't get rid of the camera timer/count at top of video during zoom... hoping I don't have to buy another camera, this was expensive a few years ago
@@NobleRenovation I don’t think it does have clean HDMI, but magic lantern may help on this front. Being truthful the lower end Canons and a lot of the mid end Canons have issues when it comes to video. Very sad about it, being a Canon man for over 25 years and I’m finding myself using Sony cameras more these days, also I’ve a load of Canon L lenses that I can’t use
Best advice is use what you have if you can when starting. Elgato have a page on there website that shows which cameras have clean HDMI, just google Elgato camera compatible and you can see the list with notes, it’s really good
Could you try again : bit.ly/3DGNOLw I tried and it did work. Let me know and if that doesn't work I'll send you a direct link. I want to see if there is a problem somewhere
@@CourseBuildersAcademy I tried downloading the guide again. It takes me to a page which says that the guide is waiting to be downloaded, but it’s no where to be found. I’ve checked my spam file as well. It’s not there either.
Hello Ben, that requires you use USB and the quality of the camera over USB is not as good as with a HDMI capture card, it's softer - hence I use HDMI capture cards
Take a behind the scenes look at my Pro Zoom Studio that anyone can setup in their home office.
Really high quality picture, but this video looks like ~15 fps?
I was thinking that too
Probably used usb instead of hdmi
Ah , so it wasn’t my imagination
Ah , so it wasn’t my imagination
to be fair, teams and zoom dont have that much bandwidth
"When you look this ugly you got to make the effort." 🤣🤣🤣
That's such an unkind and uncouth statement. You could have easily moved on if you felt so bad.
Super down-to-earth, easy-to-understand video. Thanks for sharing your setup.
Thank you so much for this video!!
Exactly what I was looking for!
How do you hear the other participants of the zoom meeting?
Thanks v much for doing this video. Precisely what I needed cheers 🍻
Glad it helped

Thank you Andrew, such a great video. Can i ask why you went to the Sigma 30mm rather than the 16mm which everyone seems to be using?
The 16mm makes you look odd on video, actually I’ve found the Viltrox 23mm 1.8 to be a great in between
Hi Andrew, is there an equipment guide associated with this tutorial so viewers can just purchase what required?
There is a link in the description to all the gear inuse
Really great video, I am setting up my office. Query: if you are on zoom calls back to back all day will the Sony 'fax number' camera run out of battery? Can it send video whilst simultaneously recharging its little battery?
I use a dummy battery and run it via Ecamm which records the video, I don’t record on a SD card in the camera. But Ecamm is a Mac only solution
@@CourseBuildersAcademy OK, but for zoom calls, I thought it was only a live stream and a case of selecting your camera device? Does Ecamm interface with zoom for live streaming?
you set up the virtual camera in Ecamm and then Zoom plays nicely with it, you can download a free trail of Ecamm and have a play, bit.ly/3pTMBfT
