Just bought it after watching this video. I’ve been using a crappy hp webcam from almost 10 years ago and decided it was time to get a real webcam. I already use a Logitech keyboard and mouse so I have the Logitech software already. Thanks for the honest video!
I agree 100%. I just bought one to do a meeting on Zoom and the video was acceptable but the audio sucked. Many of the participants had trouble understanding us. The audio needed equalization to bring up the upper midrange and highs to make vocals more understandable. I downloaded the Logitech software and it only allowed for tuning the video with no attention to audio. I will have to do what you are doing... use a good mic and an equalizer!

Very informative. Good stuff. Couple observations, if I may...a ring light used in a closeup, protrait shot, will give you rings on your eyeballs. That can be distracting to viewers. Trying to figure out that washed-out look...other videos about the 920 don't have that... maybe you have too many lumens going into a tiny lens...that's a yuge amount of lighting you have going on there...dunno...

My classic C 270 finally gave up the ghost after about eight years used on several different computers. Compatibility and durability is there so I reflexively bought this one as a slight upgrade. Logitechs are consistent for video calling and some light streaming. Used them on Macs and PC's. In the 60-70 range I dare you to find something better. I just picked one up(C 920) for around 65 with tax. You can get the C 270 still for under 30 and once again I dare you to come up with something better in that range. If you temper expectations these cams are great. Good honest review and subbed.
Awesome video. I have been shopping for a webcam because I will now be working at home in a remote position for a large company starting in a couple weeks. This is exactly the cam I have been looking at. There will be a tremendous number of zoom meetings on a daily basis. You did mention that the microphones are so so. Should I purchase a separate microphone? If so, do you have any recommendations? Or would I be better off to use a wired or wireless headset for these meeting? Someone also suggested one of the Anker conference speakerphones. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think it will do the trick for my basic/ occasional needs. I'm using it twice per month for remote church meetings. I don't see any reason to invest in any extra studio lighting. Tkx!

This video is quite misleading. C920 actually provides significantly better video than presented. With all that lighting available while filming this, C920 should show much better picture even in all auto mode. For enhanced video image it does take some setting up, but that is the case with any camera - even DSLR. For setting camera parameters use program CamooZ, not Logitech software.

I bought 2 of these . One for me and one for my wife. It has a smaller program to operate than some of the others. Great for face time visits.

This might be a really dumb question, but can you use your computer monitor or iPad as a display to see yourself while you’re filming?

Unfortunately your computer is probably not powerful enough to handle the camera at high definition. That’s normally the cause.
Also try better lighting, the camera may compensate by bringing the exposure up.
