You’ve made many highly enjoyable running videos, but this has got to be one of your finest. Fantastic running spirit and great team work. And it’s a very clever move to mic-up so the audio is crystal clear👏👏👏 Congrats again to both. 🫶😊🫡
Thank you so much John. Yes, I get very frustrated with bad audio and I keep trying to find better ways to improve it especially when it's windy. It seems to have come out ok for this one!
I just love the energy you have between you two. Such a great couple you two are 🎉 The best running channel on RUclips (obviously my personal opinion) 😊
@@FilmMyRun oh c'mon Stephen we all know that relationship is ups and downs, supporting each other no matter what and swearing releases the steam and tension cumulating inside xD I swear a lot but it does not mean I'm bad or something. Swearing is a natural thing and I personally think that people who swear are more real than those who don't xD
Well done Stephen and Victoria, inspiring stuff! Just what I needed on the eve of the Cotswolds Way Century. First ever all trail 100, excited and terrified at the same time
Wow, just wow. Well done to you both, Vicky and Steve in this win, epecially the age group win Vicky, awesome. Eating from the start certainly helped you on this one. Probably your best vid yet too, very well put together with fantastic audio and narration all the way. Well done
Cheers Gary. We weren't going for the age group win. We just discovered it when looking at the results later. Nice surprise though. Very kind of you to say about the video. I do keep trying to improve on the story telling and the audio quality.
Another fantastic video, thanks Stephen 👍🙂 And big contrats to both of you 👌 This is nicely emotive for me, seeing so much that I recognize well! - Over the last few years, I've ran all of the trails along the first 110K of the NDW between Farnham and Cuxton... including a very tough Pilgrim Challenge back in 2019) All the best for UTMB 👍
I would love to but April is a bad month as I’ll be pounding the streets of London. Probably not a great idea to stick a 60 mile fell race in the diary!
Well done, congratulations to both of you. Really interesting to see the different phases of your journey and inspiring to witness both of you coming back from low points. Thanks for the honest and entertaining video!
Appreciate that Gerry. Always going to be ups and downs in these things. It’s just a case of understanding that’s going to happen and dealing with it to the best of your ability.
Congrats Stephen & Victoria! Can’t believe this was your first chaffing experience Victoria, I usually have to roll in Vaseline before any run (rain or shine😂😂). Love that your sense of humour shone through despite what you were both going through - which is why we love your videos Stephen🤗🤗🤗
It's funny Mike, I never wear waterproof trousers for anything but the worst conditions. However, this time I knew we would be out a long time in the rain and moving fairly slowly. So I decided to go for it from the start. I was still wet through though!!
What a great video, I’m loving your grand slam journey. Congratulations to you both on a great race and great result in tough conditions. Look forward to the conclusion with the Autumn 100. In the meantime have a great time and races at UTMB.
Thank you Tim. We will be off to Chamonix tomorrow having had a lovely few days in Areche. Glad you're enjoying the videos. Fingers crossed for one more successful run at the A100!
Excellent video and well done to you both. I remember following you so much on the tracker and also thinking of you when i went for a short jog on the Thames path.....Especially when i saw a certain place 'Derek Road'..which you love Stephen 😁. The NDW100 has always been the one race which has always been in a certain place in my heart. I have shed more tears on that route especially at Jade's bridge at Detling than any other race. Anyway, another buckle for you two 💪. Cant wait for the next video 👊
I did the NDW100 last year and your friendly face was at the finish to ask if I needed anything. Love how much volunteering you do and how much you give back to the sport. Glad you got to run it this year and good luck on completing the Slam!
Really enjoyed watching that, wife actually got a bit emotional when you both crossed the line, another great achievement, you both get strength from each other. Love your videos and think your both fantastic, inspirational to me thats for sure.
Loved this video so much!! You two are just brilliant. I love the co-narrating of your experience and how well you understand each other out on the course. Huge congratulations to you both!
Everything I watch on of these it makes me want to sign up for a 100 miler. The determination you guys show is really inspiring. The filming, music, narration and editing are really well done once again. It‘s amazing the quality footage and narration you produce while feeling wet and exhausted.
No more racing for the year, some volunteering at CW50 in Sept then just ticking things over till Centurion 100 hills 50K in March! Maybe a couple of smaller races in between will see how it goes 😊
Great video guys! Absolutely love the dynamic between the two of you - Your relationship must be rock solid to cope with these kinds of challenges (Ben and I would 100% get divorced if we had to run 100 miles together…). All the best in Chamonix!
Amazing film as always. Love both your detailed narration of exactly how you are feeling during the event during the various turmoils and triumphs. Thanks vic and Steve ❤
Another great video. Great work. I love the fact that you are including Victoria in your videos; it's such a wonderful shared experience for both of you to endure together. I had to laugh. I cannot recall exactly at what time in the video, Stephen, but you said something "smart" to Victoria, and she just glanced up ever so briefly -- that glance didn't need words 🙂
Oh Darla I'm so sorry. It was such a tough day out and you looked so happy early on. Less happy when we saw you half way through though! Back next year?
absolutely been waiting for this one! I honestly don't know how you both do it. And to see Victoria finish so strongly after the turmoil she went through earlier in the night. she's proper inspiration! 100 miles is a ridiculously long way and I applaud you both so much. I'm going to attempt my first 100km next year (Serpent trail) and that thought alone is daunting, let alone adding another 40 miles onto that!!
Thank you. Much appreciated 😊 Good luck for Serpent Trail. I break down ultras into sections. As Jim Walmsley said, just do the small jobs all day long.
Simply Amazing, massive congratulations to you both, espically to you victoria (sorry stephen 😅) ur both machines - gr8 vid really enjoyed it thanku guys ❤
Hi Matt. It’s the Montane Phase Nano. It’s stupidly expensive but has a very high breathable rating which means I can run and sweat and usually still feel dry. It’s not perfect though!!
hey! Dave from the TP100, are you going to video or even run the Autumn 100? Might be hitting it next year so a video recce would be mint! Great videos, gratz to both again!
Superb filming and sound quality considering the horrendous conditions. Only wish I’d found both of your resolve at Blue bell hill with my feet in bits ! See you at A100!🙏
@@victoriac2134 did you tape them Victoria. I put on two compeeds but they were so painful as it was like a tear across the foot pad close to all the toes. Never suffered blisters before so need to think how to prevent!
No, I didn’t tape. I had a bad experience during a training run - the tape ripped a piece of skin off the bottom of my big toe. Next time I’m going to smother my feet in sudocrem & see if that works. I’ve also purchased a pair of drymax socks to try. I hate the pain of blisters and need to find a solution.
I do both. Sometimes I carry my camera in the quiver and the poles on my waist belt. I can also have them in front or across the back depending on how I’m feeling

Haha, it’s a valid question. The problem is breathability. A jacket may well be very waterproof but not breathable. If you sweat it’s going to feel like you’re soaking inside. A good breathable jacket is very expensive but even that depends on how fast you run as to how quickly it can ‘breathe’. The faster you run the less breathable the jacket becomes. My jacket was expensive but I found it worked well for me in this race.
