Loved every minutes Chris! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us! Your perseverance and enthusiasm really paid off. You didn't just run, you ran very well. Super Well Done on your amazing achievement! You smashed it!!!💪🏅
Amazing achievement Chris. Love your honesty with your varying emotions. So nice to see the South Downs Way - used to be our go-to place before we had the beach. And if we ever did this ourselves, at least we now know which is the best checkpoint.
Well done, and thanks for taking the time to film it.. I think I’ll do it one day, even though I say never.. just need to get a least one 100k, that I also said I’d never do, done first.. then I might catch the 100mile bug.
@@jamstaa69 we encounter the words “never” and “never again “ quite often! You might regret not trying 100 miles. I’m so pleased I tried it. I was 60 2 weeks before the event and the 12th oldest finisher so it’s probably good that I didn’t wait too much longer!
That’s the best South Downs 100 vlog I’ve seen so far. Joking apart, I really think it is. I found it very relatable. I’m becoming increasingly likely to sign up when the places become available on Saturday. Furthest I’ve done is 100k this May and I found it tough. So 100 miles terrifies me!
@@conradburdekin722 thank you so much! 430 of us started and there are 430 unique stories to be told. I’m so pleased you enjoyed mine. My furthest was 100k and I had all the same doubts but I enjoyed the training and the race so much that it was definitely worth the effort. I’m not sure I’ll try another but the SDW100 was spectacular and one of the best days of my life. If I can do this, almost anyone can!
@@chrisarnell1I did sign up. Then ran Thames path 100k and decided that 100 miles was a step too far for 2025. So I’ll see about doing it in maybe another couple of years.
@@conradburdekin722 You’re the best judge of your mind and body and you’ll know when you’re ready to tackle 100 miles. One thing I’ve learned is that it doesn’t keep getting worse and I felt better at 100 miles than I felt at 100k. I’m going even longer in 2025 but that’s another story and hopefully another vlog! Thanks for your support and for sharing your story with us!
If I'm ever brave enough to do 100 I defo want you there. Amazing! So chilled and just getting it done 👍
From Prescott Arizona, USA, I enjoyed watching your race. You are awesome!!

A hundred miles-what an incredible journey! Truly impressive. Congratulations on your remarkable dedication!
Fantastic effort Chris. Now you have planted a seed ,
I did the SDW50 in April and I plan to be on the start line of the 2025 SDW100 🤞🏻 Great video, thanks for sharing
Good luck Paul. You won't regret it! Stay fit and well and enjoy every moment.
Well done Chris 🎉. Amazing 👏
