We have really been spoilt with emotion filled UTMB films this year. Ben/Sarah crying on the start line, Loyd's rollercoaster of a run and your grit and determination to see the job done. Amazing. Fantastic run. I'd better get some more points......
You should ask utmb to hire you as a presenter for all their races. You are brilliant!!! An inspiration! Pity we all have to get running stones. Well done!

The scourer was a last minute decision in the apartment after doing the washing up the night of the race!! I will find something more bespoke next time! You absolutely MUST come out to Chamonix and run something. UTMB or CCC if not TDS.

Seeing you all climbing after one day and a half was really impressive because it was hot, sunny and quite steep, and you were all very tired. Well done and thank for sharing that with us!!!
Thank you Lionel. It was a long time out on the mountains but I loved it so much. We did meet many hikers on the trails and it was hard to explain to some of them how long we had been out there!!

What a fantastic video! Very moving to see how joyful you were at the end. And truly inspirational to see that a DNF or bumps in the road don’t need to spell the end for someone or that it’s not possible. That hard work and sheer determination can make it happen. I loved it. Thank you. ❤
@@FilmMyRun I can well imagine!! When you’ve run that distance on frankly terrifying terrain the feeling of relief and elation must be overwhelming!! I’m in complete awe.
Incredible Steve. Loved how you put this video together and obviously, hats off to all you amazing runners who completed TDS. The views, the journey and seeing all those other RUclipsrs I respect so much was awesome mate. I can’t seem to comment on one of your videos without asking technical questions (sorry!!) - Did you stow away your 360 camera in your pole quill on your back when not in use? Was it the x2 you used and how did you keep the lenses so clean?!?!
Hi Phil. First of all thank you. Secondly, yes I tend to use the Salomon quiver for storing the 360 camera when not in use. I like to carry my poles on my race belt round my waist. I did used to own the original Insta 360 camera but sold that while back now. Never had the X2. My current 360 cam is the Kandao Qoocam 8k. But it's getting old now and I'm looking to upgrade. Thinking of the Insta 360 One RS one Inch but it's quite expensive. There are rumours of new 360 cameras coming out before the end of the year. So I'm going to hold off for a bit and see what transpires.
@@FilmMyRun no Stephen I've never done an ultra let alone considering something like TDS. I am in awe of all you amazing runners who take part and really enjoy watching. Maybe one day eh?
I’ve just finished watching this and I’m crying my eyes out 🤦🏻♀️ An amazing achievement which you’ve worked so hard at. All of you are truly inspirational runners. A massive well done, you deserve it
Super super video Stephen. A risky decision to mix in your footage from the rest of the week and to use the voiceover but it worked perfectly. Audio also was so crisp and clear. That can’t have been from the mic on the osmo?? Finally, thanks for the shout out, I wasn’t expecting that when it came on. Great job mate 👏
Thanks David. Yes initially I had the extra footage at the end but I just didn't feel it was right. So found a way to weave it into the main film . I think I just about got away with it! Your channel definitely deserves to grow and each of us (RUclipsrs) is able to offer a different perspective and take on what we are experiencing, which is all the better for the viewer
Great video Stephen, genuinely excellent for those of us yet to do it in helping us visualise the route. Huge respect for you for finishing. But I think we need to leave the elite runners alone and let them do their thing., especially near the finish line. Killian was anxious last year with so many people running beside him during the final descent that he couldn't tell if Matthiew had caught up with him or not
Thanks Brian. Much appreciated. Yea, it's crazy with someone as famous as Killian. You just can't prevent people running alongside. With Jim, it was a little different. Jim knows my son. He wasn't pushing hard to avoid being caught and I think it was ok. But it's certainly a valid point.
@@FilmMyRun well done👍I knew how hard it was because I finished TDS at 2019. Love the atmosphere at Chamonix during the UTMB week. Actually, I am planning the UTMB 2025 and will bring my little daughter for the mini UTMB.

Well done on your recent venture at Ben Nevis too. 👏 Will we be getting a FilmMyRun from that weekend?
Well done Stephen. Did you get to the bottom of the distance discrepancy between your watch and the course? I assume you were using one of the latest Garmin’s….
Hi Chris. Yes, I was using the Garmin Enduro 2 with full Multi-band GPS. I have been over the data and put it through a variety of filters and if anything the raw gps data suggests it's even longer than my watch said at the end. I can only conclude that UTMB were rubbish at measuring the course distance initially!! It's definitely longer than 145km and nearer 157km

Possibly your best video to date, Stephen. Just, Wow! An absolutely herculean effort. A very emotional finish. Congratulations again 💪👍
Thank you so much Ash. It’s definitely a tough run…. Hike!!
You are a fantastic film maker and should have a grizzilion subs, not just your filming, your narration , the emotion, ups, downs, everything, really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing your amazing adventure , best wishes, jen, Somerset😊
Haha, thanks Jenny. Well, subs are slowly rising and gaining traction thanks to lovely folks like you sharing and enjoying my work.
What a fantastic video! Very moving to see how joyful you were at the end. And truly inspirational to see that a DNF or bumps in the road don’t need to spell the end for someone or that it’s not possible. That hard work and sheer determination can make it happen. I loved it. Thank you. ❤
Thank you H. I was sooooo happy to get to the end. It was a long couple of days out!
Congrats Steve! Amazing effort and a brilliant film.
Thank you so much Etienne.
Excellent, I didn't know if you had filmed it again but I'm glad you have, I'm looking forward to this one 😀
Cheers Dan
Hats off to you how anyone can run through two nights blows my mind.
Haha, yes sleep is a big issue on the second night.
Fantastic film, I was waiting for this one. thank you for sharing your journey. Congratulations 🎉🎉
Appreciate that Millie thanks. Any upcoming running adventures for you?
Absolutely incredible! What a great film. So glad you finished it - very emotional for you at the finish line! Congratulations Stephen 🎉
Thanks Christina. The UTMB finish line is definitely one of the most emotional finish lines you can cross as an ultra runner.
@@FilmMyRun x3 has just come out. Thats what I'm going for! :)
Brilliant mate, well done, amazing video.
Thank you David. Much appreciated.
Such a great film, really enjoyed it and well done on your TDS success.
Thank you Debbie. Appreciate your comments. Is TDS something you would ever consider?
@@FilmMyRun no Stephen I've never done an ultra let alone considering something like TDS. I am in awe of all you amazing runners who take part and really enjoy watching. Maybe one day eh?
A great video. Having just watched your dnf before I was so pleased to see you succeed. Well done 👍🍷
Aaah thanks Emlyn. yes it took a while to get it done, but it's in the bag now and on to the next one!
Great video mate! Really well put together and it was great to relive our adventure 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Oh mate, it really was an adventure and now, one that I really will cherish. We should do another one some time!!
I’ve just finished watching this and I’m crying my eyes out 🤦🏻♀️ An amazing achievement which you’ve worked so hard at. All of you are truly inspirational runners. A massive well done, you deserve it
Aaah Amy thank you watching. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing you at Beachy Head next month.
Brilliant. Well done. Great video. Thanks
Thanks Steve.
That was awesome ,well done fantastic effort
Thanks Steve. Any plans to try this one?
Congratulations~~i have been waiting for this video for long time. What an amazing race
It really is an amazing race, but I’m glad it’s done now. On to the full UTMB next year. Are you considering TDS?
@@FilmMyRun well done👍I knew how hard it was because I finished TDS at 2019. Love the atmosphere at Chamonix during the UTMB week. Actually, I am planning the UTMB 2025 and will bring my little daughter for the mini UTMB.
Congratulations !!!!!!!
Thank you Jose.
What a great video!!! So inspiring!!!
Thank Oscar. Just want to help people believe they can do these things.
Best one yet. Excellent
Wow, thanks so much Keith. Always appreciate your comments.
Congratulations 👏 what a brilliant experience this must have been ❤
Oh absolutely. The Alps are amazing. Chamonix is amazing and the whole UTMB week is something else. Experience it if you can.
Cracking stuff and amazing achievement!
Aaah hello guys! Thank you very much. Loving your unique style too.
see you there Steve. just got my place, carried over from 2 years ago.
Amazing Sean. It's such a fab experience every year. We love it. See you on the start line.
A fitting tribute to the Czech runner Stephen, well done.
Thanks Ty.
Great video, I have tears in my eyes.
Brilliant 🎉🥳 well done, fantastic effort ❤️
Thanks Stephen
Brilliant video - congrats on finish but what a brilliant video 👊
Thanks Shane. Yes, took a little while to edit and organise, so I appreciate your appreciation of it!!
Fabulous.
Appreciated Dan
Quite brilliant! Your best run.
Are you just saying that because you’re in it?!!
@@FilmMyRun I hadn't noticed 😉
08:44 - I call this "Match of the Day syndrome"
Hahaha! yes
Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!
Congrats Stephen, beautifully captured, and an epic race! Great to see you get TDS done, massive congrats. What an amazing week too
Thanks Ben. It's got to be on your list to get out to Chamonix in the next few years mate. You would both love it. Is it on your horizon do you think?
@@FilmMyRun Definitely! Need to get signed up for a UTMB event so will probably do UTS over the next couple of years then apply. Would love to head out there.
Well done!
Cheers Chris
I've watched this twice already, I love my Ultras but how you can film on the go and go into great depth of information and explananing during the race is crazy. You really do your homework on these events and i admire this and something i should work on. I take my hat off to you Sir.
Well done on your recent venture at Ben Nevis too. 👏
Will we be getting a FilmMyRun from that weekend?
Thanks Nick and yes I did film Ben Nevis although maybe not in quite as much detail!!
Just amazing ❤
Thanks Sarah!
Nice work and again a great video.
Thanks Herbert!
Another fan video of course, but please can I ask the title of the song at the end? Cheers, Liz (buffy)
Cara muito legal mesmo 👏👏👏
Thank you
fantastic film!
So kind of you to say. Thank you, it really does mean a lot.
Great work out !!👍👀✌💚
Thank you for your words!
That was awesome
Well done Stephen. Did you get to the bottom of the distance discrepancy between your watch and the course? I assume you were using one of the latest Garmin’s….
Hi Chris. Yes, I was using the Garmin Enduro 2 with full Multi-band GPS. I have been over the data and put it through a variety of filters and if anything the raw gps data suggests it's even longer than my watch said at the end. I can only conclude that UTMB were rubbish at measuring the course distance initially!! It's definitely longer than 145km and nearer 157km
Wow! That is quite a discrepancy! Props to you for not being more upset on the day!
