I’m not crying, there’s something in my eye!! Your endless positivity and enthusiasm is infectious and there was never any doubt you’d finish your incredible journey. I may never do anything quite that immense, but I am hoping to run my first ultra next year and your videos have been a massive inspiration. Thanks Loyd!
Thanks so much for your kind words Debbie! 🙏 I'm so glad that you are enjoying the channel and best of luck with your first Ultra, happy training and thanks for watching 😊
It was my pleasure to spend my 18th with you guys! What a brilliant achievement Loyd! Super inspired by at all, so much so I’ve entered the lottery for the Lakeland 50 next year! 🤞🏽🤞🏽✨
That's great to hear Katie, did you get into Lakeland? It was great to meet you in Chamonix and to celebrate your Birthday on our shake out run! 😊 Thanks for watching 🙏
Loyd, no exaggeration here, but definitely one of the best running POV videos I've ever watched. I've watched it several times now and the emotion still hits me when you exit the woods and Liga is there telling you to get some sleep now! You've captured what every regular average runner suffers through when they tackle an absolutely shattering ultra the highs, the lows the ultimate victory. One of the most courageous bit of editing when you showed the raw emotion in that aid station at night---absolutely fit runners so spent that they're all asleep--tears every time I watch this. Well done, Loyd, well done on your TDS victory and well done on this beautiful video.
Wow! Thanks for your amazing comment Steve, it really means a lot! 🙏🙏🙏 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and you feel it captured all the emotion of a race like this. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, its really appreciated 😊
48 mins of running/video perfection. Can't wait until tomorrow when I will watch this bad boy. Keep up the great work Loyd. Your race videos are always a must watch . Ps I cheated and watched the finish. Chapeaux
Well done to Steve & you Loyd for toughing it out - I can’t imagine how it must feel with that combination of distance, elevation and lack of sleep. Hats off to everyone who even attempt to do any of the UTMB races. Hope Luke did OK & looked like the Xodus Ultra’s stood up well.
Thanks Roger 🙏 Unfortunately it was Lukes first experience of the big mountains and maybe the TDS isn't the best race for that. The big climb in the middle of the race, in the heat was a massive undertaking. He made it up the climb but chose to call it a day. The good news is he's ok and determined to go back next year and finish it off! 🏃♂️⛰️ Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Thanks very much, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and the stunning views! It sure is a beautiful but brutal route. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Bud that finish nearly, very nearly, had me shed a tear. Absolute massive and total respect. Great effort and even more so what a wonderful display of friendship, love and support. You and The Pirate showed how far those precious things can take us. Chapeau to you all. An inspiration many many thanks Loyd
Thanks Pat, that's really appreciated! It was an amazing adventure we all had and I'm so glad I hung on and made it to the finish. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Love that I feature in this video! I remember it happening! My dad found it and sent it over! Congratulations on finishing, I did too. Hardest and most amazing race ever! Keep running xx
Hi Alice 😊 I'm glad you've seen the video and well done for getting to the finish line! Hands down the toughest race I've ever done and I was very happy to finish. Hope you enjoyed your UTMB experience and thanks for watching 🙏
Genuinely shed a happy tear for you guys making it to the end.. and getting that well deserved finish line. If it’s been that hard for you, and you’ve been there that week and all the hard training.. it just shows it’s no try your luck event.. wow.. Thanks Liga for being motivation and voice of reason at the aid station.. I was like noooo don’t give up, have a rest. Phew… we’ll done guys!!
Thanks for all your kind words, they're really appreciated 🙏 It sure was a tough 39hrs in the mountains and I'm sure I wouldn't have finish without Liga and Steve! It really was a team effort and I'm so glad I finished. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
My god, Loyd, that was the most emotional video you’ve made, my friend. I’ve got tears in my eyes from watching you finish. Love it. What an amazing adventure, effort, and accomplishment. Kudos.
Thanks for the kind words Chad, they're really appreciated 🙏 I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the finish line footage. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment 😊
Brilliant video Loyd! You have such a good attitude. Your sense of humour really makes the video great. You are fast becoming one of the best RUclips creators out there! Well done!
That's great to hear Martin, I'm glad you're enjoying the channel 👍 I think I did loose my sense if humor at one point in the race! 😂 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated mate 🙏😊
That looked absolutely brutal Loyd, respect for completing. When you're entering the "red zone" both physically & mentally and still have the strength to film & commentate, whilst at the same time nailing a positive narrative. Obviously the views are out of the ball park, but when you're running on fumes in that heat, on 20 min cat naps, appreciation of the views gonna be the last thing on the mind, even the mind of a seasoned warrior ! Well done
Thanks John, that's really appreciated 👍 It sure was a tough 39hrs in the mountains and I had to dig deep to get back to that finish line! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Loved this video - I also did the TDS this year and so many memories and tears. This race will stay with me for the rest of my life. Truly life changing experience. Flooded with memories thanks to your images. Congrats to you and Steve.
Thanks Owen and well done on the TDS! I'm glad the video bought back memories, more good than bad I hope 😊 It sure was a tough race, one of the hardest I've ever done! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Great watching your 2022 TDS video again. I did it again this year after my DNF at Beaufort last year. Despite being very sick in the woods before Beaufort this time I carried on after an hour at the check point. Made it to the finish line this time and loved the Chamonix finish. I'm glad we had -5 degrees in the hills this year, much better than how hot it was last year. Looking forward to more race videos from you. Bravo!
Well done Mark for getting it done this year! It sure is a tough race and that decent down to Beaufort is ridiculous. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 🙏😊
Thanks Rach, that's so kind! 😊 Really glad you enjoyed the video, it was a big team effort to make it to the finish line, that's for sure! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Brilliant! So nice to put images where the dots were when I was following live online. What an achievement for you and Steve & so nice you finished UTMB and TDS with him. btw, surely that lack of CP/water on that 14er climb was a huge mistake by UTMB? Complete lack of safety for runners, especially in the heat and if the weather had been bad too. Shocking! Glad you both got through it & under 40hrs, smashed it! 👍🙂
I already said it on the other social media channels my friend, but that really was awsome. Massive respect to you and Steve for completing that race and not forgetting Liga on support, you all did a sterling job. UTMB looks like a magical, but also soul breaking place, and you can't help but be inspired to want to race there. Congratulations on the race and the video, hopefully catch up with you in January at the ARC.
It's definitely a magical place but it can be a brutal place as well! 🥵 It was a massive team effort and I'd have been lost with out Liga and Steve. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, see you at the Arc! 🙏😊
Congrats to you and the team. Really enjoyed the video as it reminded me of some of the amazing views on the route. You weren't the only one going to sack it off at Beaufort, I nearly did too and would've done without my Wife's support. I was just leaving that ski lift after having a kip when you guys got there. It was a life saving little sleep that one as I'd been falling asleep whilst walking. So glad you all finished. 👍
I'm glad to hear you dug in and got the finish Dave, great effort 💪 The short sleeps made a big difference, I was the same as you, I fell asleep a couple of times walking! It was a crazy race but I'm glad I ticked it off 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Amazing achievement and truly inspirational. Loved seeing the rollercoaster of emotions that a race like this can produce, such a great insight into completing a race such as this. Thanks to the three of you.
I'm glad you thought so! It sure was a tough 39hrs in the mountains and I was really happy I made it back in one piece 😁 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Thanks for your very kind words Kaman, they're really appreciated! I'm gkad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏😊
Congratulations Lloyd! Massive achievement. It was great to see the journey including the mental battle. I think negative thinking can destroy you, and it takes a lot to flip the script once you entertain it. I could see it with your comments about it being too hot, too steep, not enough water etc and it snowballs under extreme fatigue and lack of sleep. You should be proud that you pulled yourself out of it, and got it done. I am sure Steve and Liga must have been so valuable to get you through it. Incredible grit and heart....The battle is always against ourself.
Thanks Joel, that's very kind! It really was a team effort and I think I'd have struggled to finish without them. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's really appreciated 🙏😊
Absolutely brilliant!!! What great story teller, the ups the downs and the great friendship with Steve and love and support from Liga. Loved every minute of your journey and thank you so much for sharing it with us!
Goosebumps at your finish. Legend. Brilliant video that captured the highs and lows. Thanks for that and what an achievement! Chapeau to you and all your fellow finishers. However, massive respect to your support director Liga! Wow. Just wow!
Thanks Andy, that's really appreciated! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the finish line footage 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
A perfect moment in time is how I described this year's UTMB week to my partner Michelle. Awesome memories. Completed the OCC, meeting so many great people, tracking people I have followed on insta, youtube etc including yourself and Steve. Gutted for Ben Parkes and Sage Canaday, but ultra trail is a journey. I encourage anyone who has not yet undertaken trail running to start the journey. The community I have experienced in the Trail running scene is off the chart, from 5km right through to ultra distances. Awesome.
I'm glad you enjoy your UTMB experience and well done on the OCC! Chamonix at UTMB is a magical place that's for sure and the trail running community is awesome. Such a shame for Ben and Sage but these things can happen when your running in the mountains 😔 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Thanks so much for your kind words, they're really appreciated! Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏😊
Brilliant!! A brilliant achievement for you both in what looks like an epic and yet brutal race. Brilliantly capturing the highs and the lows of your run in this film, which is one of the best videos I think you’ve done. Inspirational. Thank you for sharing
Thanks Steve, that's really kind! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and you feel it captured all that 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Congrats again Loyd, you can really be proud of your journey and huge respect to you, Steve and all the runners on this epic race! Great job with that video which, i think, reflects very well all the differents states and emotions you've been through to reach your dream. I'm also glad to have done my little part of support at the cormet de Roselend (not sure you'll see the cornish flag super often, moreover raised in frenchman's hands ^^) and later at night too, a little bit after Beaufort and at the very beginning of the climb to Hauteluce. Please keep on making such an amazing job on the tracks and behind the screen, it's super inspiring for many people ! 🙏
Thanks Yann and thanks so much for your support out on the course! The last thing I expected to see was a Cornish flag and it really did lift the spirits 😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, it's really appreciated 🙏😊
Wonderful, crazy and you're off you're rocker!!! Fabulous film and congrats to you, Steve and Liga. Brilliant effort all round. Oh yeah. Gotta say it was epic!!!
Cheers Roland, it was a tough race that's for sure! Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and supporting the channel mate 🙏😊 Hope you're fit and well!
Oh my gosh, what a great story! Thank you for sharing this with us. I am so glad that you were able to find the determination to finish. I was so happy to see you cross the finish line. I look forward to more great videos.
Thanks Tom, that's really appreciated! It was a tough race that's for sure but I'm so glad I dug in and made it back to the finish 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Out of 3 people that I was following, you're the only one that finished! So we'll done! Awesome 👌 👏 Fantastic views, great filming 🎥 on top of all the running 👍
Thanks very much, sorry to hear the others didn't make it! 🙁 It sure was a tough 39hrs in the mountains and I'm so happy I made it back in one piece. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Wow Loyd that was fu#king awesome. Massive congratulations, the views, Steve, your wife, just a brilliant film. Your face at your worst moment when you could hardly talk and said it was like the Barkley marathon had me chuckle, I know I shouldn't have laughed but it just summed up everything at that moment. Once again congratulations 🎊
Thanks Simon 😊 You're right I was struggling to talk I was so dehydrated, that bit of the video makes me laugh so much! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Thanks Garth, really glad you enjoyed the video 😊 I was definitely in a pretty big hole after that crazy descent! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Thanks very much 👍 It's definitely worth all the effort to get out to UTMB, you'll love the experience! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Incredible video. Loved every second of it. Takes me back to my race. Massive congrats on turning it around and grinding out the finish! You, Steve and Liga are absolute legends! 😊💪🏼🍻
Ran my first Ultra yesterday. Your videos have been a huge motivation for me to achieve something I would have never thought possible. Thanks and congratulations on an amazing run!
I'm really glad to hear the videos have been helping Declan and well done on running your first Ultra! 👏 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Congrats. Incredibly inspirational. Really appreciate the additional effort put into capturing this experience so well for others. All the kudos to you and your gang. Maybe one day.... Nga mihi, Callum.
Thanks Scott, I'm glad you thought so and thanks for watching 🙏 I'm definitely proud of myself for not pulling out and digging deep to get back to the finish! 😊 Thanks for taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏

F*cking Epic...pardon my French. So so inspiring. Huge congrats to you and the whole R4A Team. Films like this will hopefully keep me and other watching the fuel to dream and think one day I will get to Chamonix!
Thanks Danny, really gkad you enjoyed the video 👍 You should definitely try and get out to UTMB one day, it's an incredible experience! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
What an amazing adventure Loyd, it was certainly an emotional and hugely draining trek. Felt myself getting a little choked up at the end just watching! Incredible achievement mate, incredible. 🍻🎉🙌🏻
Superb video Loyd! Followed you, the pirate and the cousins on utmb live all the way sending positive vibes! Great that you showed the lows and how you overcame them. Hats off to Liga too. It was an emotional rollercoaster! Thank you for sharing it all! 🍻👊
Thanks for the positive vibes Dan, they really helped! All the support we were getting was amazing, it blew my mide if I'm honest. It was a tough 39hrs in the mountains and definitely a team effort. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel its really appreciated 🙏😊
I mean what can I say? hats off to you and to Steve, thanks for the footage and showing us how such races are raced! That finish line kiss and hug always gets me man (:

Absolutely incredible mate 👏 looked like such an epic race! Glad you had your mate Steve and Liga there for those dark times. You did amazing mate well done! What an achievement! Great video too as always 👍🏻
Thanks Aaron and thanks for your kind words, they're really appreciated! It sure was a tough 39hrs but it was great having Liga and Steve there to keep spirits up, I couldn't have done it without them! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel mate 🙏😊
Thanks Dave 😊 It sure was an unhappy face! I'm super happy I pushed through and make it back to Chamonix, it was definitely worth the effort 👍 Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, its really appreciated mate 🙏
Hats off to you. Think of all the humans in the world and you have to be up there in just a fraction of the 1% who could contemplate this challenge, never mind complete it. Let alone the achievement, the inspiration to others is a goal in times that are challenging in many other ways. Congratulations 👏 👏👏
Well done Loyd, an amazing achievement! Really liked how you also thanked Liga and SW for helping you get to the end. It was a real team effort. Congrats!
Thanks very much 👍 It sure was a team effort, I don't think I'd have made it without them! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
That's great Kevin! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and it's inspired you to get back running 😊 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
What a wonderfully honest and well put together race video 👌 A huge achievement! How you had the energy to film as well is beyond me! Just brilliant and inspirational as always 😊 👏
Thanks for your kind words Kate, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 Energy levels were pretty low and there was times when the camera stayed in the bag but I tried to film as much as I could 🏃♂️🎥 Hope you are fit and well and looking forward to the Arc 50! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏
Congrats on this massive adventure. It´s so impressive to watch you all go through to the finish line. I can´t seem to find the right words, so I´ll just say BRAVO!!!👏👏👏
Thanks very much! 😊 It was a wonderful feeling crossing that finish all together. It was a really team effort and I'm not sure I would have made it with out them! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Absolute legends all of you!!! That looked so hardcore and seeing all the highs and lows over the distance really opens it up as to how hard this race is. A massive well done from me in North Norfolk. 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Thanks Karl 👍 It was a tough race and I'm glad you thought it came across in the video. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊

Epic stuff! I laughed when I saw those 2 clips at the end on the tracker. What an amazing achievement, it just shows that a person is capable of accomplishing even the toughest of challenges. Awesomely epically well don! 🥳
Thanks very much AJ 👍 The Xodus Ultra was fantastic, no foot issues at all, not even a little blister! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Huge effort and wonderful upload, man. Trail running is such a deep experience, physical and mental. Not really anything else coming close - and this video captures it perfectly.
Good afternoon Running4adventure and all the runners. Excellent video, fantastic TDS, ¡¡¡¡CONGRATULATIONS LOYD!!!. Here is mi Like. A nice week for everyone.

Emotional video Loyd, I agree with you that I would have appreciated some closer refreshments also in my CCC, and why not the altimetry on the bib ... But for everything else a great edition and an indelible memory in our adventures as Runners. Finisher is not only a logo 💪💪💪 Well done
Thanks Marco and well done on the CCC. I think having the course profile on the number would be a great idea! 👍 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Hey, amazing film and so great to actually meet you in Chamonix. Thank you for your advise regards the first climb on CCC, made sense when out on the course! I ran with Jay from Trail and Error for a while, have a great clip of him out for the count at the final aid station. Greta work and love the channel.

It was a massive team effort and I'd have been lost with out Liga and Steve.
I'm glad to hear you dug in and got the finish Dave, great effort 💪
The short sleeps made a big difference, I was the same as you, I fell asleep a couple of times walking! It was a crazy race but I'm glad I ticked it off 😊
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Amazing achievement and truly inspirational. Loved seeing the rollercoaster of emotions that a race like this can produce, such a great insight into completing a race such as this. Thanks to the three of you.
I'm glad you thought so! It sure was a tough 39hrs in the mountains and I was really happy I made it back in one piece 😁
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Thank you Lloyd and Steve for taking us on your epic TDS journey! Absolutely amazing, you guys are such an inspiration!
Thanks for your very kind words Kaman, they're really appreciated! I'm gkad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏😊
Best.
Video.
Ever !
Congrats and much love to the 3 of you... Epic.
Thanks Carl, that's very kind! Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏😊
Simply phenomenal, amazing achievement and a stunning race day film (as always). Well done to you all!
Thanks Dave that's very kind! Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and supporting the channel its really appreciated 🙏
Holy Cow! Great job and what inspiration this provides to the masses. God bless Lloyd!

Absolutely brilliant!!! What great story teller, the ups the downs and the great friendship with Steve and love and support from Liga. Loved every minute of your journey and thank you so much for sharing it with us!
Thanks for your kind words Richard, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and the finish line footage 😊
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Such a shame for Ben and Sage but these things can happen when your running in the mountains 😔
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
I cried when you crossed the finish line, just amazing and really appreciate you capturing the lows as well as the highs.
Thanks so much for your kind words, they're really appreciated!
Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏😊

Brilliantly capturing the highs and the lows of your run in this film, which is one of the best videos I think you’ve done. Inspirational.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
The last thing I expected to see was a Cornish flag and it really did lift the spirits 😊
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, it's really appreciated 🙏😊

Hats off to you. Think of all the humans in the world and you have to be up there in just a fraction of the 1% who could contemplate this challenge, never mind complete it.
