Kup was one of my favorites. I have a thing for "futuristic" vehicles.
Great review Patriot Prime!!!! It amazes me that Kup has remained one of the few Autobots that transforms into a pick-up truck. Keep on being amazing.

I grew up in a family where everyone had a pick up, or commercial utilitiy. My brother had a flat bed 70 F-100 sw. Father had a 68 HR Holden ute. In laws all drove utes, and 1 tonners. So when I got a G1 Kup, I was in love. lol
The kid left a place out.
Autobot Kup is amazing bot. I want to listen to his war story. He isn't retire just yet when the war is over. He like a grandpa to all his friends. Thank you for the video.
One of my all time favorite figures, got him way back in 86, even before I saw the movie. And in the defense of all the "little Timmys" out there, like me, that is where the instruction sheet said to put the Autobot symbols. lol

Wow!! Kup really is a blast from the past! I used to have this figure and always thought he and Blurr were so solidly made with all the diecasting and I really wished Hotrod were made to that same specification!

My first G1 86 movie toy

As someone born during armada i actually love the g1 kup. Its one of the more " COMPLEX" g1 figures
Us grumpy old war veterans have to stick together. Kup was one of my favorites even back in '86. Guess I knew with knowing I would become a grumpy old war veteran that tells war stories.
I've never seen it brought up but you can mistransform the Studio Series Kup to give him a hood like his G1 version.
I've had my '86 Kup in the box for weeks. I just took him out tonight for the comparison in this video.
Messing with him now.

What I liked about Kup is that he's basically the TF version of Mickey from the Rocky flicks. I always got a Burgess Meredith vibe out of John Stephenson's performance in seasons three and four.
Also, I have an incomplete version of this toy (gave him a gun from a junker KO Henkei Mirage) and he is a fun guy. And honestly, I feel he looks much better than the SS86 one.

Kup was always my favorite aside from Ultra Magnus.

I hated this toy as a kid. Half a head and a boring alt mode. But that has changed since then. I'm glad to have one in my G1 collection. I've grown to appreciate the toy (love the character) quite a bit and he's built like a tank.
I had a problem with the teal.
Am sorry but his head looks like a Olmec head. I love g1 transformers but i hate the toys 99% of them are just horrible bricks with arms and i know transformers collectors get all gooey for them am not one of them modern figures may have some flaws but i prefer them over g1 toys
I love G1 toys also the reason they look so blocky and messy is because Transforming toys like this have never been made before 1984. When the Transformers came out those toys were like nothing before! So that's why they don't look the greatest. Anyways I love my G1 Reissues I have though!
@@BurntTM I wish G1 toys matched the G1 Animations. The animations make the characters look cool whereas the toys make the characters look like zombies or something
