Grotusque and Repugnus could indeed make a great Fangry and Squeezeplay retools! Here's to hoping.
Great to see g1 transformers being reviewed that are NOT from the '84/'85/'86 line. G1 has far more to offer than the usual suspects. Would be great for this guy to get the takara treatment. Better yet, throw the roadjammers in as miniature figures (like raoul came with MP 25). The sooner someone releases an MP scale figure of Lord Straxus the better. Ditto for Emirate Xarron as well. I mean, why not?
Although I feel Squeezeplay is the best looking of the Small Headmaster Decepticons, but I think he was the best character out of them all.

LOL, "one hell of a dingleberry" is up there with the whole NAGA hat deal as one of my favorite Patriot Prime moments. :D
When the animation and comics made you want the toy but then get and ugh.
Wow punched through the torso ouch and then back in G2 in one piece. Seeing the g1 end and knowing this is really in the crazy side.

Well... i didnt know that g1 toy- character, so thanks for that! But the robot mode i think, he looks really nice! The colours, the Cybertronian body and that welldone face. Very 80s robotish!

Too bad Hasbro missed the opportunity for retool of the Twinferno mold for this, BUT TinmanCustoms did an excellent custom of this character... Definitely worth checking that out, for anyone who hasn't already...

I still have my original fangry from '88. I loved the way his bot mode looks as a kid, but I do agree that his altmode is not so good and his articulation is extremely limited. So, even as a kid, I modded him. I cut the connections between his legs so that they could move independently and made his Wolf head removeable by knocking ou the pin.. That of course didn't fix all of his problems, but he is still one of m favorite figures. I really hope that we get a modern TR/POTP/WFC: Siege version of him though.
Yet again, another great review my friend. He's so bad he's great lol he's the only tf that I would display in alt mode just like the comic lol it's such an odd beast mode I love it \m/
This is peak G1😂 this is one of my favorite characters because he talked the most to Grimlock just to get a hole blown throw his chest😅 the best looking squirrel with wings😎
I had a love/hate relationship with this figure as a kid. Lol! The robot mode I thought was cool but hated the alt mode. And thank you for your service!

When you look at figures like this one you can see the thought process that lead to pretender shells. Lol. Good review.
They could have made the wolf head to fully rotate inside the cockpit, hiding it in robot mode.

During each step of the transformations:"...and that's what you're dealing with." True enough. Also, Fangry was reintroduced in the IDW "Transformers: Lost Light" series, where he was a bit more cunning and scheming.
Cool Transformer never seen that G1 before keep up the great work probably not the best one but the idea was pretty cool as when I meant to say they would have refined it would have been a cool Transformer
I had the original Hosehead and Horribull and didn't really care for the figures themselves... I love what Fans Hobby have done with their rendition of the Autobot characters and think they would kill it with MP renditions of these characters.
I need to check those out.
Fangry could only transform at fullmoon.
Both Squeeze play and Fangary look like the toy in Masterforce. Jason you asked if Squeezeplay was called Cancer in the Japanese? Yes, but the English dubbed calls them by their G1 name. Also to note Masterforce plays out like Power Rangers which makes sense for the fact Power Rangers in Japan has been going on since 1975. You this influence with Voltron.
Nice video... Yeah I don't much care for this toy. Yah know, I've just noticed that all your robots are right-handed (unlike me). You always put the gun in the right hand. haha. I don't know of any tech specs, comics, or anything else stating anything about left vs right handed bots. :)
I've never even thought about weapon hand placement. 😀
In Fangry's defense his shield only pegs into the left arm though.
Masterforce actually represented this guy better as well

Fortunately I got him cheap(er) off a Facebook group than Ebay.
