    There was absolutely no physical evidence for the rape in the trailer carried out by Brendan and avery.
    Either it didn't happen or two guys with an iq of 70 can clean up a crime scene like Dexter.

      Which is why it's absurd that the 16 year old's story was taken as fact (that along with all the inconsistencies and his mental disability and their extreme coercion and his insistence that "they got in my head") however, this was a different trial than the 16 year olds. Stevens trial was not based on the 16 year olds story, although it did contribute somewhat. But it is crazy that the kid went to jail too. I'm not 100% convinced Steven is innocent, especially after reading the facts that the documentary "conveniently" left out that makes it completely different. but the kid definitely seemed coerced to me.

      If you Google convolutedbrian, you will find a blog with the interview they conducted at Brendan's school. I believe the term is "coaching the witness". It never made much sense to me that they would repeatedly say tell the truth. I remember thinking why are they talking to him like they've had this conversation before. It made more sense when I listened to the interview. They had in fact, talked to him already. They obviously tried feeding him details before rushing him into custody for a formal interrogation. When he couldn't repeat what they had discussed at the school or when he deviated even a little, they would say, "tell the truth". I don't know if they are innocent, but it was a sloppy and skewed investigation all around.

      +Robert Regalado it's a typical method in American law enforcement to say things like "don't lie" and basically force them to admit guilt. It's a big problem in the justice system, because it leads to a lot of false confessions, however, it can also be really successful in getting a guilty person to confess. There's better ways to do it though, and in the past decade people are slowly trying to implement different methods of interrogation.

      cereal boy ignorance comes in many forms. Do you understand disabilities? If you did, your comment is ignorant. If not, your ignorance (not knowing) is apparent by not researching how person's of mental disabilities once an adult are by law considered "a vulnerable adult" for this very reason! They are easily cohersed, manipulated and taken advantage of! Please do your homework before publically making such a "dumb" comment

      AsheeAshee These are two disgusting people. Here's what they didn't tell you: human bone fragments were found in the burn pit on the suspect's property, the victim's belongings were found in a barrel just steps from the suspect's front door, one of the supposed "masterminds" of the supposed frame-up wasn't even in the state when the investigation was going on, and the suspect made multiple "anonymous"calls to the victim's phone even though he denied having made the calls (the cops were able to trace the calls to his sister's phone, and the sister wasn't home that day, so the suspect was the only one with access to that phone").

  • @MsMondaymornings

    I hate the fact that the jury was "trading votes". Someone's life hangs in the balance, and you are afraid someone is going to know which of you voted in such a way that a mistrial occurred? This is not a game of Clue. This case was effed up from its inception.

    • @awesomo-wl9kd

      I'm personally an advocate for professional, informed jurors, but it's not exactly going to be a jury of your peers. But it's a double standard because the government won't trust the people to vote directly for president but will let people decide the fate of a potentially innocent person.

      SpyengoEen Couldn't agree more! The jury system is so outdated, it was abolished in India in 1950s following a high profile case that was more of a media trial!

    To anyone who has watched, will watch, or is watching the Netflix show Making a murderer, I want to put it out there that it's very easy to get swept away and follow the crowd, but in the end whether or not Steven Avery & Brendon Dassy are guilty isn't my biggest gripe. I feel that in order for our justice system to be a just system, it is imperative that it's leaders, representatives, and employees uphold the rules of the law and not impose unethical methods to ensure a guilty person is indeed found guilty. With that being said, both of these cases should have been tossed for police misconduct & gross mishandling. This is definitely a failure of the legal system as a whole.

      OJ Simpson was an example of police trampling and changing the scene, got Simpson off! At a great cost to public mistrust of our law enforcement. The county of the Avery case was a small rural community, and likely used their city county attorney to help guide them to "make a murderer" and eliminated financial and reputation recourse in one foul swoop by convicting Steven Avery and Bendan. Sadly, IMO, pawns in their game of corruption to damage control and possibly vengeance against Avery's lawsuit

    One of the really infuriating aspects of the information in the documentary was the victim's brother. He seemed completely blind to the evidence and was simply dead set on seeing Avery convicted. Surely he wanted to find the RIGHT person to pay for what happened to his sister, not just ANY person. It just did not seem that way.

    • @NeridaWarwick
      @NeridaWarwick 6 лет назад +3

      Zargunt Bilko I agree. The brother was either involved or maybe that family was a little slow too. Maybe the whole county is slow and the smartest of them couldnt even put up a good prosicution. It was blatently obvious what was going on and the result is an embarrassment to the American judicial system. Thankfully most Americans disagree with their findings. Hard to keep the faith when stuff like this is being fed to the general public. We are not all so easily fooled.

    One of the Deputies fathers was on the jury, did anyone know this? Also, 2 jurors were dismissed, the man whose daughter who was in a suspicious car accident, a van cut her off and slammed on his brakes in front of her with no one around but the Sheriff's Deputies who were not at the court house that day. The Judge dismissed him as "attending his daughter's funeral" in the legal documents. The second one was one of the other 7 who voted not guilty and was asking too many questions, so they were also dismissed and were replaced by an alternate. Also, the 7 who believed he was not guilty at first, there were 3 undecided and 2 for guilty, asked for Bobby Dassey's testimony to try and back up their position, however, the judge would not give it to them. He only gave them what he thought was necessary, he said it was too long. They wanted to check his conflicting timelines or something like that and that was the part they were denied. It was easy to convict Steven when they already believed that Brendan had confessed and even Teresa's brother hadn't seen that "confession" never mind the jurors, they only heard the horror story "please if you're under the age of 15 turn the tv off" version from Krantz the perv and it didn't even match the evidence or the forensics. I'm sure the Deputy's father was not going to walk out of that juror's room with a not guilty hanging over his head. Steven and Brendan were doomed from the git go, I can see why they did this documentary and why they followed this case for 10 years. What a travesty of justice.

    • @nola1439
      @nola1439 8 лет назад

      Both sides of the case agree to their jurors. They are allowed to dismiss a juror without giving a reason. Therefore, it tends to be half and half, half for the pros. And half for the defense So if there were any swaying jurors, such as relative of a law enforcement, the defense consented to them, so it is completely legal, and since they know what they're doing as lawyers, it clearly wasn't a problem to them.

    • @la-zh4231
      @la-zh4231 8 лет назад +5

His own brother was tried for sexual misconduct against various women, including his OWN daughters?! Wtf- Many viewers are making their judgements based on the show 'making a murderer' - it's good to see people searching deeper for more information and questioning how biased the show was/ corrupt the police department were/ are. I would highly recommend watching a movie very relevant to this situation - 12 by Nikita Mikhalkov www.imdb.com/title/tt0488478/ This movie shows how prejudiced people can be. During murder trial all but one juror were convinced a Chechen boy, who Russians were prejudiced against, killed his own step-father, a Russian officer who adopted him during Chechen war. That one juror was able to raise enough questions to get the jury to be less prejudiced and to actually think about the evidence, which led to show the boy's innocence. This movie is very similar to this real life case of Steven Avery.

      Nice Job I am a cat lover and this part disturbed me too. However he was not more than a child at the time and I dont care who you are there are few amongst us who could go into a witness box without having something in their lives that they regret but cannot erase. This could have been the reason that he did not want to take the stand.

    These are two disgusting people.

      Mike R. And of course the suspect committed this horrendous crime and just left all the evidence right there to implicate himself...

    I believe that they are not guilty I believe that the cops were dirty they were not doing their job I think the lawyers weren't doing their job I think that that the mother should been sending and then they're in the room with the child the whole time he was being question I had to with my daughter there are good cops but there's more bad and there are good and I know because I lived in Dayton Ohio and I've seen it with my own eyeballs

    Jury tampering is the only way they could come up with a guilty verdict.
